Really loving everyone's pictures!



Last Friday, Melbourne City put on one of those events that they do so well.....we welcomed home Cadel Evans.

Cadel Evans is this year's winner for the Tour de France. He is the first Australian to achieve this feat and, at 34 years young, the second oldest winner in the Tour's history. And if you don't know, the winner of the Tour de France gets to wear the Yellow jersey.

So, this series of pictures represent Celebrating A Win! The city reckons there might have been 30,000 - 50,000 people lining the street and in Federation Square.


I got there early to snag this prime position....

Twenty minutes after I arrived, this cameraman pitched up and take a look at where he stood! I was soooooo Irritated because he blocked my perfect view down St Kilda Road!

But then....look what flashed past me....

YES! It's a Three-Wheeled MOTORcycle

I was so distracted by the 3-wheeler that I nearly missed the 2-wheel variety! The man came riding in my direction (he swerved round the cameraman) and I made the decision to put the camera down and give him a congratulatory low-5 slap.



And then promptly snapped this for A Win!. Check out the Yellow Jersey.

The Street Performers These two were brothers moonlighting as Firemen, of sorts.

They sure put on a great act...and gave me a couple of interesting shots to share.

Just pity there was no Balls in Air!

If there was only one picture, it would have to be Upsidedown

But when there's two and it looks like a dance, I would claim Entrechat You can take your pick!

The act involved Atop Ladder....

....and getting some poor unsuspecting audience member Drenched!

But what was completely unexpected was my category stretch this week....

My final category stretch is pretty pathetic but appropriate. It represents the lengths I go to for finding a Scav hunt object!!!


I got a friend of a friend to bring this all the way from NYC. I'd been trying to source this item for about 3 months now and have asked friends and strangers alike to get one for me....

PrincessinOz, I love that sunset!

Well I am back online now. We just got our power back after 2 1/2 days without it from Hurricane Irene, which brings me to these pictures:

Elements - Wind - The 1st three were taken with a SS of 1/5 sec and the last with 1/1.6 sec, the only touch ups I did was to adjust the exposure a little bit. I took them when I woke up, but the worst of it was during the night.

DH said the pool looked like a scene from cocoon!

This one looks like I was playing with the blur or smudge tool on photoshop
