After previous great advice from people on this board I thought I would post a few pictures and stories from my trip to Disneyland Paris in February 2004. At the time they had 'The Lion King Carnival' going on which was fantastic, my little cousins particularly adored the real lion cub they used for the festival parade.

Festival of the Lion King parade, I love the culture of Africa so I just found this absolutely amazing - if anyone is interested I have a short video of part of this parade which I can email if you would like to view it.

Meeting Goofy at Café Mickey - we had a great experience at Café Mickey meeting lots of characters and g etting a great meal. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you most concerned about meeting characters - definitely book though... we almost didn't get in!

Breakfast time at Sequoia Lodge - generally I was really impressed with this hotel - the open log fire was a fantastic addition! We used to have breakfast at 7 which was fairly busy but by the time we finished people would be queing up the stairs to get in for the 8AM sitting! Mind you we did go in February half term so that may have been why it was so busy...

Hope anyone who read this enjoyed my brief account of the trip!!

P.S Sorry that the pictures came out so huge!

WOW - what great photos!!! Thank you so much for posting them! :flower:

Great pictures! Thanks for posting them! I'm looking forward to taking lots of pictures when we go. I had such a crappy camera the last time we went and all my pictures came out blurry! :(

My Kodak digital camera is pretty great - the flash is so powerful I got some well good pics from inside dark rides like Pirates, Snow White and Peter Pan. Unfortunately some of the lion king parade ones were a little misty but I think that was because it was 'dusk' at the time of parade and the camera got confused lol.

Brilliant photos-the castle one gave me a tingle down my spine.
Thanks for sharing them with us.:sunny:
I'm getting SOOOOOOOOO excited-less than 7 weeks to go.

Brilliant photos, Ben! :sunny: I can't wait to see the castle, it just looks sooo pretty!

Great photos and I loved the size!

I always love to see other people's photos - thanks so much - they're great!! :cool1:

Excellent photos. Where did you meet Peter Pan? We've never seen him out and about and my 2 DD's adore him.

Great Photos! Thanks for sharing them with us. We head of to DLP in May staying at the Disneyland Hotel - so excited!!! Taking my mum with us for the first time. She has never done the 'Disney thing' so we all can't wait!!! I will promise to share my photos with you all on my return.

Thanks again :earsgirl:

Lovely photos! I wish mine came out that well.

Thank you for sharing them.

Thank you for showing these excellent photos. The one regret I had was not being able to see Fantillusion but there will always be a next time. :flower:

Fantillusions is great - I unfortunately will be missing it again when I go next week because its finished til the summer. I thought February was a great time to go last year because we caught all the winter shows they have, the open ice rink was still open and we got the fantillusions parade and fireworks aswell.

We met Peter Pan in and around Adventureland - he and Hook were chasing each other around the land stopping for an occasional sword fight. All the kids were loving it. I have to agree you do not really seem to see very many 'human' characters at Disneyland Paris. I know one of my little cousins was looking forward to meeting a princess but they just dont really seem to patrol around. Has anyone ever met any other human characters in Disneyland Paris? The only other ones we came across were Mary Poppins and Bert in the Studios.

P.S You will have a great time at Disney Molly! When I first went to DP in 2003 I was 17 and it had been nearly 10 years since I'd been to WDW (when I was a small child) - I wasn't sure how I was going to find it but you really do have such a great time no matter how old!

We met several princesses when we went in October - just behind the Castle about 10.00 a.m. every morning. One afternoon we were trying to get from the Castle to watch the parade down near the Castle stage on one of the little walkways and came across Sleeping Beauty and Snow White standing by themselves watching the parade too so we had them all to ourselves  But we've never come across Peter Pan.

We met the Princesses and their Princes last July. My then 3 year old was frightened of the Beast but Belle got down to her level took her hand and said to hold hands with him, which she did. It was a lovely touch. Also Snow White complimented her on her tee shirt. We also met Maleficent and I thought she was a great character. All the children were very courteous around her - she made them all say please and thank you.
