Let's talk about feel good, pixie dust stories. Have you received Pixie Dust, seen someone receive Pixie Dust, or spread Pixie Dust yourself?

We just returned a week ago and have an amazing (at least for us) pixie dust story. We live in Canada and due to the pandemic, my wife has not seen her parents in 3 years. We normally meet them in Disney World every year and share a 2 bedroom villa at BWV. As the kids have gotten older (and bigger), this trip we decided to use the entire 2 bedroom villa just for our family of 5 and have the in-laws stay at CBR, given the rooms there were about $1500 cheaper for the 9 day stay and the hotels were connected via the Skyliner. They do not go to the parks much and on previous trips, we have normally spent time with them in the morning and afternoons/evenings. We figured this arrangement was the best option and would work well for everyone.

A couple of days into the trip, we realized that it was not so convenient and we were really not seeing them as much as we would have liked. Despite us going to CBR to visit, and them coming to the Boardwalk, with the rush of a Disney trip, it was just not happening. Also, they are getting a bit older and were not as mobile as they have been on previous trips. They decided that they were comfortable paying whatever difference there was to move over to the BWV so we could all be together. After a few phone calls, visits to the front desk at both CBR and BWV, and a day later we were not having much luck getting them moved over - it seemed there was no availability. Everyone was nice and said to keep checking and something may come up.

The next day, I went down to the BWV front desk to see if anything had come up. One of the Guest Experience Managers met me in the line, as they do now, and asked me what I needed help with. I told her that we were checking for availability and to see what it would cost to move my in-laws over from CBR to BWV. She took me to the desk and she started typing away on the keyboard, asking for their information, reservation information, etc. As she was doing that, I was making small talk, telling her about my in-laws, how we have not seen them in 3 years, etc. - again, all small talk and not trying to convince her of anything or plead a case. She finished what she was doing, looked up at me and said, "It looks like we have availability and it will cost around $1,200 to move them over here.". After a bit of a pause, she said "But, we will do it for you for free.". I was so shocked. I know it is not a lot of money and my in-laws would have gladly paid that much, but the gesture meant so much to us - I was in tears. To be able to have them in the same hotel with us, have morning coffee and evening chats was such a huge gift to my wife.

I thanked her about a million times and she told me to tell them to vacate their room and to text her when it was done. I texted her and within minutes, she responded and said that a room was available for them and they could come over any time. When they arrived at the BWV, I took them to the front desk to check in and the same manager happened to be there. We thanked her about a million more times and she then noticed that my in-laws were not wearing any MagicBand+ (another story, but essentially theirs were not shipped in time for the trip, they got a full refund, were able to keep the bands when they did ship, plus a $50 gift card). She said to them, "You have to try the Magic Band+, can I give you a couple for free?". We said no thank you, told her the story of the shipping mix up and that Disney had made full amends and we were not worried about it. In the end, she insisted that they take a couple of Magic Band+'s to use on the current trip and wrote up a voucher for them that they could use to get two free Magic Band+'s.

When they finally got to the room, it was a nice room off the main floor on the Inn side of the hotel. It had a garden view and one of the maids said that it was odd they were in there as the room is not used that much. Obviously the manager had used their extra stock to ensure that my wife and in-laws could spend more time together. Again, what a special gift for all of us.

We would have made the original plans work and still would have had a great trip. But with a little pixie dust, this manager turned a great visit with my in-laws into an amazing visit, something we will remember for a long time.

That is AWESOME!!!!!!!! This is the Disney Magic that I love!!!!! As long as this still happens, I will always love Disney….regardless if the Pixie Dust is for me or not!!!!

We last went 3 1/2 years ago. At Epcot, my husband went to check out the area behind the fish and chips booth as a spot to watch Illuminations. It was closed for a private party that night, but my husband got chatting with the CM's and found out they were from our state. Out of the blue, they told us that there were fewer people signed up than expected for the private party, so if we checked back shortly before time for Illuminations they might be able to find us a spot to watch from. When we came back, they escorted us to a lagoon-side table with an awesome sit-down view! Great pixie dust!

DD and SIL decided to do a short trip to Disney for their honeymoon. She is a grad student, he is an admissions counselor at a local college and has solo custody of his young son (for whom he provides complete support), so money isn't easy to come by. DH and I booked them a standard room at CSR, complete with 2 beds, no view but the parking lot. I guess someone saw that this was their honeymoon, because their room was on the top floor of the new Destino Tower, fireworks view! (and they lived happily ever after!)

we just got back from a week trip....our first day was well, not the greatest, and ended with me losing our youngest daughter's magic band +. we had done bbb, so both girls were all princessed up and all the cm's we passed had nothing but sweet things to say. at the end of the day, we stopped at the emporium and dd9 and i waited on line to pay while dh and dd7 went to check the lost and found. while paying, the cast member was talking to dd9 about her bbb and i mentioned how i had another daughter dressed as mulan but she was with dh looking for her band. she whispered something to the cm next to her, who went in the back and said to me, i'm going to see what we can do about your magic band. then the manager came out and just replaced the missing band for free. it was the nicest thing. it was such a long emotional exhausting day and i was so touched. i keep reading how people think the magic is gone, but it's not. it's really not.
and earlier when we did the bbb, both girls had to pee, and it was raining, so our fairy godmother's apprentice walked us to the family bathroom at crt, and while we were in there, she spoke with the cm there and they let us get on line to meet cinderella even though we didn't have crt reservations. just small things like that is why i love disney

I took my nephew for his first trip to Disney when he was 5. We were headed towards Splash Mountain when one of the Country Bears approached me, took my back, my arm and starts running with me. My nephew was laughing hysterically at this the whole time and grabbed my other arm to not lose me. Well, the Country Bear brought us an area of Splash Mountain where we were able to get on the ride faster.

I guess this counts. In 2018 we drove over to 'Ohana for our 30th anniversary dinner. I guess we mentioned it was our anniversary but thought nothing more of it. We had a window seat and we're in probably the beast spot in the house when the fireworks started. We were able to watch and listen to the show from the comfort of our dinner table. At some point both the manager and server stopped by during the fireworks and wished us a happy anniversary. We didn't know it at the time but requesting a fireworks view seat is actually a thing.
The real pixie dust? This was when they still had the old menu and style of service!

Once, a CM at Space Mountain liked my daughter’s reaction to the ride (she’s a big fan) because she offered a second ride using backstage to her and my DH. DD still talks about it 6 years later.

A few years ago while staying at the Wilderness Lodge our brand new camcorder went on the fritz. I contacted Best Buy and they arranged to have us bring it to their Orlando store and replace it. I went down to the front desk to make arrangements for a taxi to do this and one of the cast members heard our situation and offered to make the exchange for us that evening as it was on his way home. The next morning before we left for the parks he had returned for work and we had our replacement in hand.

Not sure if it fully counts as Pixie dust. But I tired to book a GOTG boarding group for extra magic hours.

For some unknown reason it said I was not eligible... So on way in to Epcot went a spoke to guest relations. Had a little moan as you do. Head of guests relations tapped away on his iPad.

He started to explain how tough boarding groups are at getting and how it went in 2 seconds.. I was about to say thats not my problem as I dint even have the opportunity to attempt to get one.

When he told me to refresh my MDE and if by magic a multi experience pass for GOTG had appeared.

We had a few pixie dust moments on our trip last week.

First, DH picked up some takeout from Olivia's (we stayed at OKW). Instead of taking the bus back, a bell services cast member offered to drive him back to the room on his golf cart!

Next, DD15 and her friend were in The Seas in EP. A cast member asked them if they wanted a behind the scenes tour! They were thrilled.

Finally, we had two servers at The Brown Derby go above and beyond during our meal there. One was a waitress at the outside bar; the other was our server inside. He steered us away from the entree I was considering ordering because he said the fish was frozen and not very good. He was also very attentive and friendly!

Our first trip in 2017 was amazing. We had a reservation for a typical studio at Poly, when we arrived we were surprised with an upgrade to Club access for the week. It was such an amazing surprise. That same trip, on MK day during the parade, Daisy stopped her walk to hug and visit my daughter, who had a Daisy plush with her (along with Angel - this girl likes her plushies, lol). Daisy then brought over Goofy and Donald who fussed over her - all of this was during the parade. My daughter felt like a star.

Back in July I got off FEA right at park close and a CM opened a door to the exit hallway and asked if anyone wanted to re-ride. Harmonious was starting and I was the only one to take her up on the offer. There were only a couple of people left in the standby line at that time and the entrance was likely closed at that point.

About 7 years ago I had taken my then 10 year old niece with me during Star Wars Weekends. One day I received a phone call on my cell phone. The person said that he'd noticed we were planning on going to Hollywood Studios the next day and would my niece like to be in the Star Wars parade. When we reported to where we needed to be the next day I asked how the kids were selected to be in the parade. I was told that cms would go out in the morning looking for kids in costumes, etc. I told her about my phone call and she had no idea who that was but my niece's and my names were on the list! The kids were given robes to wear and light sabers to carry, the parents followed them in the parade. I have a feeling that it may have been the young man at the front desk at the Wilderness Lodge who had helped me the day before with booking the Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise and then totally rearranged my fast passes in a good way so that we weren't criss crossing the parks for them and better times than what I'd had. He did this totally on his own without me asking, of course he asked me if he could check them first. It made our trip much easier.

check my signature.

2003. hollywood studios. On our honeymoon.

asked to be grand marshalsin the stars and cars parade.

of all the thousands of people in the park that day, they picked us. Magical..pixie dust? Understatement of the century. I will never ever ever forget how amazing, and special it was.

wow.

we were given a ton of paper fast passes and we gave them away because there was no way we could use all of them in one day.

We were asked , even several days later, if we were famous and how we got too be in the parade.

we were just walking by and were trying to figure out if tot was open, it just came out of refurb, and there were long lines. Next to the times board a cm was standing there, and she asked if we were having a good time, and then sprung a question I never thought I’d hear…

Do you want to be grand Marshals in the parade?

oh yes. yes we do,
we were given a card asking us to return later that day at customer relations and she would give us all the info, like how to do the royal wave and give us a place to store our belongings.

wow.

yea it was perfect.
