DAY TWO: TDL
It was raining all day becoming heavy from about midday. Despite being soaked by the time we called it quits (about 1500) we had hit every high priority ride and many other attractions I considered optional.
We copied the previous days attack plan which has Dad and older two go first and grab Fastpasses where appropriate and Mom plus youngsters joined later.
Park was a lot emptier today due to storms but the popular rides were still occupied - for example Snowwhite was a walk on but plenty of people at the Honey Pots. Since the Honey Pot ride was the last main ride the youngsters wanted to go on we grabbed FP and then rode it. This is such a superior version to the HK one in both the queue area and actual ride its like two different rides.
Since we gave up a FP for the Honey Pots we lined up for Monsters Inc. Was about 90m from the time we lined up to walking off the ride. It's a fun ride but its not worth a 70m+ wait. The animatronics are great. Characters really come to life. But the queue area is very thematic but not as good, as say, Star Tours to entertain you while you wait.
While in the queue I jumped out and grabbed a FP for Star Tours. We also visited Roger Rabbits Spin which had a zero wait time. It's was just a bombardment of insanity and only made sense if you watched the film. Worth the queue time but unless your kids love (or at least know) Roger Rabbit I wouldn't say it would be high priority.
We had a bit of time before the lunch show so jumped on the Mark Twain Riverboat. This was a fun and relaxing ride. Since the older two are learning about US history it was luckily appropriate. Grabbed a FP to Splash Mountain as elder two love this ride.
Went to the Diamond Horseshoe lunch show with the whole family. When we came out it was pouring but the afternoon parade went on even in the black rain like conditions. Little ones went to Honey Pots while older kids went to Pirates. Another great ride with a 5m wait. However my kids were confused and I had to explain the ride. But if I am honest I only knew what was going on due to the movie - even though the movie post-dates the ride. I enjoyed this ride nonetheless.
We had one last priority attraction - Cinderella Fairy Tale Hall. I have 3 girls so that made it a priority
After the hall we still had an hour for the Star Tours FP and two hours for Splash Mountain FP. If it wasn't pouring I would have stayed but our socks and shoes were soaked and we were all in a good mood but we needed a break. So went back to the apartment for a break with the intention of coming back. But the rain got heavier and we couldn't motivate ourselves to return. Very happy we did the Electrical Parade last night.
