Can someone explain the pre-2019 /post resale restrictions? and grandfathering. If someone has a resale from pre- 2019 can they use those points at RIV and others after? And if it was an original 14 property and bought on resale after 2019 is it only restricted on properties 15+ (does it mater when the person selling bought it)?

If you bought resale before 2019, those points can be used anywhere and everywhere. If you bought resale after January 2019, you are excluded from using the points at Riviera, Disneyland Hotel and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness (I can say this now since we saw it in the documents). You are also unable to use the points at any new resort that is not added to an already existing association.

If you bought resale at any resort besides Riviera, you can use the points at any association built before 2019.

All contract purchases pre 2019, no matter how, can be used at all resorts, current and future.

Any resale contracts bought since 2019 are restricted. RIV and VDH resale can only be used at their own resort and the rest can be used only at resorts in the system prior to 2019.
