Rough seas end of Feb

We are going the last week of February and I am concerned after reading several posts about rough seas. Are rough seas typical in Feb?

We sailed the east. carrib. about 2 years ago and the seas were pretty choppy going down to San Juan and the wind was so bad comming into San Juan that my friends glasses blew right off her face, now a fish is wearing them! We usually experience 1-2 nights out of 7 when it is pretty bouncy but with the stabilizers and the help of a little bonnine you should be fine.
The Bahamas are usually not bad because of all the little islands help break the waves down and keep that area pretty smooth.
