Jakes is a low-key restaurant, with burgers, sandwiches etc. We ate there our first night, as well as got a to-go snack later in the trip. It was very good, and not unreasonably expensive
We didn't eat at the Island Dining Room, but I believe it is part buffet, part a la carte. We looked inside and it seemed to have a good family atmosphere.
I think the food at Tchoup Chop can be good for a 12 year old, plus I think they have a kid's menu. It is a very cool restaurant, so if you want to treat your daughter to a "grown-up" night, it would be an excellent choice.
