6am rolls around fast at Disney... but at 5:45am I JUMPED out of bed PUMPED to start the day. I got dressed super quietly and snuck out to the living room where this guy was PSYCHED to be sleeping......
Those twin pullout beds are a good size.
I had to go down to the lobby. My HDDR tickets weren't showing up and I wanted to pick them up in advance. Luckily they DID show up and we were all set to check out. It was CREEPY quiet in the lobby that early the stores were closed and just a few CMs. As I walked back up to the room and had some of my last minutes of awe at how GORGEOUS AKL is. Seriously this was too short a time to appreciate it.
On may way back up to the room ran into this guy. He scared the crap out of me at first TBH, but then we became buddies and did some selfies together.
excuse the lack of makeup.
At 7am I was back up to the room and everyone was up and ready to go. My Mom got DS dressed. DH was dressed and ready to go and the bags were getting all packed up. Bu 7:15am bell services had arrived and tagged our bags to meet us over at BLT.
Goodbye room 7911! We loved you for the short time we were with you....
goodbye beautiful Savannah
HELLO BUS STOP!!
Someone is excited and someone needs his coffee
H was cranky because AKL didn't have skim milk for his coffee..... Seriously... Look at that pout in the background.
As you can see the stroller was too small for DS I got the City Mini and should have gone with the GT. DS didn't mind though he was excited to be going to EPCOT!!!
I mean LOOK at this cutie patooty!
Bus Stop Selfies
me and my Momma!!
LOVE this new feature. And the bus pulled right up at 7:45 am. By 8:10am we were through the baggage line.
H finally found his coffee and DS got THIS
that donut was as big as his HEAD. He ate the all the frosting off and threw the rest away. KIDS!!!
We stood here for about 20 minutes.
This was the line in front of us
And this was the line behind us by 8:30am
DS got bored in line so we went over to where it was quiet and ran around a few times ( and also threw out the garbage from the donut and coffee ) and took a few quick pictures.
Soon enough we were let through and lined up for the official RD for Soarin'. I STRONGLY DISLIKE FP plus at Epcot. The tier system there makes it such a STRESSFUL morning when the POINT of FP plus was to eliminate some of that!!
Anyways by 9:10am we were ready to fly over California. DH was in a better mood now that the coffee hit his system and we were all psyched. DS was SO PROUD to be going on a BIG KID ride and strutted in there FULL OF CONFIDENCE.
So we get up in the air and DS is like " MOMMMMMY IS THIS REAL?? ARE WE REALLY FLYING?? DID WE LEAVE THE BUILDING??" I played along for a few minutes until he said " I am too scared Mommy" and his little lip started to quiver. That's when I showed him that you can see the edge of the screen and it's just a movie and we are still inside in our seats. Once DS realized it was just pretend he LOVED it. He had so much FUN!! The whole way out he told EVERYONE how the ride is pretend, and REALLY REALLY fun to pretend you are FLYING.
Next up was Nemo. DS started to get scared because the line was dark so I carried him through. He laughed at the Starfish and ya know what? WE FOUND NEMO.
We looked around the tanks for awhile and headed over to Imagination Pavillion. DS walked into the line and said NOPE and walked right back out. He remembered FIGMENT turning into a STINKY SKUNK from last time and was NOT going in there. So now we had some time to kill before our Test Track FP and lunch. Soooooo
Waterfall play time!!
Getting ready to splash Non.
Grumpy turned into HAPPY!
By now DS was insisting he ride the big ball. Only problem is that by now it was after 10am and the big ball had a BIG WAIT. DS was game so we waited....
H looking thrilled about the wait....
DS waiting....
We made it almost all the way to the front of the line and DS is like " Changed my mind and we are like OH HELL NO" so we all got on.
DS LOOOOVEEESS this ride, I love this ride, DM loves this ride. DH loves this ride. It's a CLASS-IC to quote Stacey.
HAD to take this picture of my future....
DS in the future.
Next up was Test Track... Even with our FP plus we waited a good while
I always feel like we are HERE in this spot FOREVER.
Waiting..... selfie.....
DH and I made this car.
DS and Non made this car....
The ride was great. For everyone besides Non. OMG poor Non, I thought it would be fun for her, but NOPE she was turning green at the gills. She really thought she was going to puke. Won't make her do that one again.
We had to HIGH TAIL it over to Via Napoli. We were already 10 minutes late for our reservation...
We got there and had a few minute wait but we were seated in about 10 minutes.
It was HOT now in the afternoon and we could not wait to be in airconditioning. The water in the lobby was a welcome refreshment. OMG
We were seated on the far side of the restaurant AWAY from the ovens. The restaurant is nice looking but not too themed.
Love these fun chandeliers.
I ordered the Aqua Fresca. OMG YUMMY! This was the best thing I ever drank.
We all split a salad and a pizza.
Non was feeling better and enjoying her pizza.
TBH this was actually my LEAST favorite meal on the trip. I mean MAYBE it's because we weren't on the
DDP for this meal so we ordered " cheap" or maybe I am just from the land of yummy pizza or something, but it was standard pizza and it was a little soggy around the triangle area away from the crust. The salad and the aquafresca were amazing, but I really won' t be beating down the door of this place again any time soon.
On the way out of Epcot I made a stop into the Werther's store in Germany for some caramel treats including a pecan cluster, and blondie and some popcorn. DS loved the caramel popcorn and munched it all the way back to FW.
On the way out DS wanted to play in the splash pad.
I really love nothing more than taking pictures of him in splash pads. I will be saving these for his wedding slide show
Room had been ready for a little while so we hopped on the monorail
And headed to our new " Home" for the next 4 nights
Coming up The bestest room ever in the history of best rooms ever.
