Thoughts on Clarion Universal

DH and I are planning a quick weekend getaway in March. We want to catch Earth, Wind & Fire at Mardi Gras!
We'll only be staying for two nights and most of the time will be spent at the parks, so room amenities aren't a big concern for this trip.
The $59 rate on the Clarion is a great deal and we're thinking of staying there.

Has anyone stayed there?
How is it?

I don't know anything about this hotel but I remember reading about it on the Universal trip reports board. You might want to read some of the posts on that board.

I've also seen the Wingate mentioned here....at an even better rate and it looks nicer!
Any thoughts on the Wingate?
