:bounce: Hello!:Pinkbounc I just wanted to remind everyone that I started and finished my training at Tower of Terror. I work each day from 1-9:30pm and have wednesday/thursday off. Please come by and say hello!

Melissa

Good for you Melissa! One question - if I stopped by to say hello, would I actually have to RIDE Tower of Terror or would you be the one escorting me to the chicken exit?

Honestly it depends where I would be. A computer system determines a rotation that all the CM's at ToT follow. You could always stop by the Greeter and ask where I am at. They will be able to tell you. If you'd like to come all the way into the attraction, yes you can exit at the "chicken" elevator, however, I can't say for sure if I'd escort you downstairs.

Melissa, HELP! My DD is finally making me ride this after all these years!!! I promised her I would this trip. I get motion sick very easy, but usually only when I'm turned upside down in the dark (like RR)!!! or riding in the backseat of a car, or flying on an airplane, ***get the picture!*** I hope I do allright! Will be there in 24 days will look for you!:wave2:

Melissa, I won't be at WDW until October, but I will make sure I come by and say hi to you! So if we come on a Sunday will you be there? My friend and I will most likely be going to MGM on a sunday. I am trying to get my friend to go on the Tower of Terror with me, so we will see if I can get her to go on it. And it's the only ride at WDW that she has never been on.

Melissa,

Enjoy being a CM at TOT! Also please tell my good friend JOY Jakubaitis a big "HELLO" for me. She is a CM in Ops there and trained me YEARS ago (1988) at The Living Seas.

So, can you tell which ride experience the guests are going to get or is it completely random, even unknown to the CM's who work there?

I understand there are (I think 4 different sequences). If you were working the elevators, do you know which elevator/ride is going to give which sequence/experience?

That would be pretty cool if there was a way for you to know and you could tell your friends. I can just imagine as a guest trying to ride over and over to get to experience ALL the sequences - but Murphy's Law, I'd probably get the same one or two ride experiences repeatedly.

Are the ride experiences different enough that it is noticeable?

Btw, don't forget to NOT smile!

Hi Melissa,

My son just turned 4, and he's excited about going on ToT after watching the vacation planning video. He calls it the "elevator" and says, "It will be very scarey, but it will be lots of fun!"

Is he too young? He's not scared by stuff that most preschoolers are scared of. He's just under 40", but I think he'll be okay with shoes. How picky are they on the height requirement? I almost bought him a pair of girl Minnie Mouse wedge sandals the other day, just to make sure.

My son went at age 4. He and his sister begged and begged the entire week until I broke down and we all went for the first time. The theming made him a little nervous and I figured we'd be using the chicken exit after the preshow, but he did it - and then led the way back to the beginning for another ride immediately afterward! Interestingly, both DS and DD (then 8) voted ToT their favorite ride and MGM their favorite park at the end of the vacation, but a few months later DS said he wasn't all that thrilled to ride it again anytime soon. The ride itself didn't bother him; it was the part at the top of the elevator shaft when the doors open and the car goes through the hallway. He didn't care for the darkness, but even more, really hated the LOUD sounds - I recall shattering glass sounds and a general feeling that the volume was indeed too loud.

We are going to be in WDW on July 31. I recently had an unexpected pacemaker ( I am only 36) put in. My question is can people with pacemakers go on Tower of Terror? We really enjoyed it last time we were there and my 9 year old really wants to try it this year (she was too young in 2000). I want to be able to go on it with her. Is there a list somewhere of acceptable rides for pacemaker people? Thanks.
