Transportation from Coronado Springs

Hi,

We just booked a six day stay at CSR for Feb 1st through the 6th of 2003. I know that it is only bus transportation from CSR to the parks. That is fine with us as we have stayed at the AKL twice and thought the transportation was great.

Does anyone have any comments about the transportation at CSR? Good, bad or indifferent.

We will have a car during our stay to go from CSR to other resorts. Just looking for info on CSR to the four main parks.

Coronado Busses are usually pretty quiet. The only exception would be during peak travel times, such as the morning rush, and a park exit. But even then, it's no where near Caribbean or Port Orleans.

Typically, Coronado usually never had the demand for MOD... (Magic on Demand)... however, once Caribbean closes for refurbishment, they will add CSR to MOD. Without going into all the details, this basically means increased bus service during the peak morning hours. Also, with the implementation of Flex Dispatch now at MK, Epcot, and Studios (and soon DAK), park service will run more frequently during the afternoon/evening hours.

Busses typically run every 10-15 minutes on average to Coronado. It's in a very nice location... Very close to the Studios, DAK, and Epcot. MK isn't that far away either. (One note... after 11:30am... Epcot busses also service Blizzard Beach)

Downtown Disney... well... all I can say is that we're working on it. Because of all the logistics and construction, and traffic, and whatnot... Downtown busses sometimes seem to get a few minutes behind schedule during peak evening hours, when everyone is trying to get there. Not always... but sometimes.

There are four stops within Coronado. Stops are numbered 1 (El Centro), 2 (Casitas), 3 (Ranchos), and 4 (Cabanas)... Although, you might want to check your map, as sometimes another stop might be a bit closer to your room.

All non-MOD theme park busses go 2, 3, 4, 1... and all Downtown Disney busses go 1, 2, 3, 4... They do this, so that if you're at stop 3... and want to get to El Centro... just hop any theme park bus. To get back from El Centro... hop a Downtown Disney bus.

Thanks for the inside scoop Chip'nDale Express.

We usually drive to DTD so that will not be a probolem. Thanks for the info on the theme park buses stopping at El Centro last just in case we get stuck out in the Ranchos. We have requested the Casites but we know that it is just a request so we are prepared to have to deal with the Rancho area if need be.

Thanks again.

When we stayed at CST i thought the bus service was great. We were in Castitas 4 and the bus stop was right there. We never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for a bus if even that.
