I'm not saying that this didn't happen to you... however, as an internal person, I'm wondering how on earth this could have been possible. Busses are Flex Dispatched every 10-15 or so minutes from the DTD Marketplace to WL/FW. WL is always the FIRST stop for those busses, so it's not as if the bus could have filled up and not stopped by there. Now, I could understand that one bus might have broken down or some weird thing like that. But in one hour, there should have been at least four busses. In the past 3 weeks, I've worked several Downtown shifts (both AM and PM). We do radio dispatching, so I get to hear the dispatch location for every bus, and the intervals.
The dispatcher, twice, told me that the busses didn't go by a schedule. I waited a little over an hour for the bus and even after two phone calls, it never showed.
Forgive me for not understanding... perhaps you could clarify for me... but why is it so dreadful that WL shares the boat with FW? You don't seem to be concerned that the Polynesian shares boat and bus transportation with the Grand Floridian... So, why is Fort Wilderness so dreadful?
As for "fixing" the Transportation at WL... I've recently driven quite a few East runs (East = WL/FW) and I've never encountered any problems. In fact, many times, I run into the bus in front of me, or behind me... I'm not saying what happened to you is impossible and didn't happen... however, I can't really see that happening on a near-frequent basis at all.
