Universal Studios Hollywood - Park Opening Strategy?

Is there a good Universal Studios park opening strategy when starting the day?

Any suggestions on what attractions/rides to visit first before the lines get longer later on that morning?

Thinking about knocking out the Simpson's ride and Harry Potter first thing in the morning. Will be in the virtual que for Secret Life of Pets and pending what time we get, we'll also try to knock out the Universal Studio Tour. Figure after that, the park will be filled up and we'll take a look at ride times and go from there. Is that a good plan or would anyone recommend a different park strategy as the park opens?

Right now, prior to June 15th, the best strategy is to make sure you get to the park 1 hour prior to listed opening. Universal opens the gates roughly 30 min prior to listed park opening, when inside go straight to the Lower Lot. The Lower Lot will not be open, but they will hold you at the entrance to the escalators down to the Lower Lot until listed park opening.

When the park opens head down the escalators and go straight for Jurassic World. Due to social distancing operations the wait times for this ride will balloon fast.
After Jurassic World, ride Mummy and Transformers then head back up to the Upper Lot.

Ride the Studio Tour, like Jurassic World, due to social distancing wait times will balloon fast.

By the time you get off the Tour, the park will be packed and wait times for Minion Mayhem, Simpsons and Lower Lot attractions will be over 75+mins. Check and see if Secret Life of Pets is offering Virtual Line passes or if its stand-by only. If its offering Virtual LIne select a return window shortly after your expected wait time for Minion Mayhem or Simpsons. Ride one of Simpsons or Minion Mayhem while you wait for your return window. Even with a Virtual Line Pass for Secret Life of Pets you can still expect to wait 30+ mins in line. If it is stand-by only, head there and get in line.

By the time you get off of Pets, the queue for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey should be under 45mins. If its not, check back later in the day as this rides wait time dramatically drops later in the day as more and more people get stuck in queues for Lower Lot attractions or leave the park.

If you want to see Water World, make sure you are at the entrance 45min prior to listed show time. Due to social distancing, this show fills up very quick.
