Upgrade at Ft. Lauderdale Port

We have been fortunate on our recent DCL cruises to be able to upgrade to concierge at the port by being early arrivers and willing to splurge to the upgrade. Does RCCL have something similar at port? Can anyone explain how it works there and what time I might need to arrive by to get an upgrade? We are sailing on the Allure in April. Thanks for the help!

pretty much not going to happen. suites( the closest thing to Concierge on RCI) sell out fast and will be offered for upsells long before boarding day.

I agree. Leftover suites are offered to status members first. If you want it, buy it before you get there.

We were 2 weeks out from Oasis cruise with a balcony. DW gets a call from RCCL asking if she would like to "upgrade" to a Jr. Suite for less than regular pricing difference. She takes the offer and as we depart the port we talk to neighbors while viewing the passing scenery from the balcony. Turns out the young couple were cruising as a gift from his aunt and thus the connecting rooms. The aunt had emergency surgery and had to cancel her reservation but wanted nephew and wife to still go. DW was told by RCCL rep that he was calling booked cruisers to see if they wanted to upgrade and was being told no thank you or was unable to get an answer and DW was next on the list, she answered and accepted the offer. Our next booked cruise is in a Grand Suite.
