Wanna Know A Secret: January 2019 Pre-Trip Report

So, I'm like 90% sure that as long as a) you are staying onsite, b) she has valid ticket media on her account, and c) you have each other listed for Friends and Family that you can book her FPs at 60 days out. I really feel like a read a thread here about it, with people who were booking were staying onsite and booking for local friends who were going to hang with them for the day but weren't getting a room. She can't book under her log in, but you can include her on yours.

I hope this is true.

Hall of Presidents (23 Minutes)

This is a must-do for my president-obsessed middle son. He's legit obsessed. As in... Santa is bringing him a White House playset and a Dictionary of US Presidents.

Good for him! My girls HATED doing the hall of presidents...

Country Bear Jamboree (10 Minutes)

Have I mentioned my kids are weird? This was the one thing on our list last time that we missed and my oldest has not let me forget it, so I am going to make sure we see it this time.

But I will say, that my girls love the Carousel of Progress, and I would put that catagory. But you know what, that is what makes Disney great. There is literallly something for everyone!

I already know my oldest with drown his hot dog in mayo.

Mayo?!? Interesting... My girls hate ALL condiments, ketchup, ranch, mayo... all of them..

Yes, this is true. A podcast that I listen to talks about it all the time. As long as all of the above items are true, you should be able to choose her as well. And I have one person as a family member in my family and friends and she always shows up as an option for dinning reservations and fast passes. If your mom doesn't have ticket media on her account, when you get to the next step it will ask you to remove that person. Should be as easy as just checking all of the boxes!

My boys know we are going on this trip, but I would love to surprise them in the car. Like make them think they're just going to school and then say, let's just go to disney world instead! I can't wait to see how your guys react to the surprise

I think I have a found a hitch in my plans... EMH... *facepalm* I guess MIL will have to wait for us on Main Street in Magic Kingdom (EMH starts at 8, but they let everyone in at 8, so we'll get my son's DAS first thing.) Second day will be Animal Kingdom, with an AM EMH. Frustrating... at least I can secure the DAS for Flight of Passage quickly, but then I have to kill the rest of the AM EMH doing absolutely nothing. I guess we'll knock out DinoLand and do it with grandma a second time when she gets let in.

FastPass Day is tomorrow! I've been toying with my plans quite a bit and I think I have my selections down. This is the order I am requesting them and the approximate times I'm shooting for to fit into my plans. We are rope dropping Splash Mountain and Big Thunder on 4 crowd level day with AM EMH. I will rearrange plans if necessary:

So I never came back and updated things... oops?

I got basically everything I wanted. A couple of the times are off a bit from what I wanted by a couple hours and of course, the website crashed as soon as I'd secured Slinky reservations, but it came back up and I was able to get everything on my list, including a last-minute thought to add a Flight of Passage FP. Then I decided on Monday blow up my plans because where's the fun is planning if you don't induce stress last-minute? And I blew up my plans over the boys' t-shirts! It wasn't that bad since I was just swapping out MK plans for MK plans, but it involved a little finagling to fit everything in. I think it actually works out better the new way, though, so it was worth changing things up.

I would totally do this!! I actually looked through my girls' outfits and planned which ones for which park days before my FP day. I know they're going to want to wear the right characters for the ones that they are meeting or dining with each day, so I went through to make sure the things I got would work. Heaven forbid if one of them is wearing the wrong outfit on the day she meets her favorite character!!

Blew up my plans again yesterday, because why not? Didn't make too many HUGE changes though. Mostly just changed the days we're viewing the MK parade because... viewing spots and timing. 2 weeks to go...

I got totally sidetracked over the holidays, plus some extended family bad news, so we're not wearing custom anything on our trip now. Or Disney bounding. It's saving us a lot of money though!

Sorry to hear about your hardships. But yay for Disney!
I made mine at work during extreme downtime. The kids haven't seen them and they may havh them. We'll have to see.
