a not to be missed element for DL or CA?? Should we go to both parks or plan on a day of shopping in SM?? :cool1:

Visit both parks - you can go shopping anytime.

Does this mean you have only 2 days? If so I'd spend 1.5 days in DL and 1 in DCA.

Others have their favourites, but if I were to return I'd definitely do again:
Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Carribean
Peter Pan
Indiana Jones
Winne The Pooh
Big Thunder Mountain rail road
Small World (yes, seriously - it's very good!)

Star Tours, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Jungle Cruise were also cool.

In DCA I'd do:
Soarin over California
Grizzly River Run
Tower Of Terror

Screamin is good if you like coasters.

I'd also make sure I saw the fireworks at least once, and the parade.

Personally, I'd stay away from shopping and play! In DL I'd go on the rides that they don't have at DW. The majority of them are in Fantasyland, but then that's my favorite part of DL!

Storybook Land Canal Boats
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
Pinocchio's Daring Journey
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Alice in Wonderland
Davey Crockett's Explorer Canoes
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
Sailing Ship Columbia
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin (I'm not too hot on this ride)
Monorail (gives you a great tour of DL from above!)
And, last but not least, the Matterhorn!

And the Peter Pan's Flight ride is way better than MK's version.

I've never been to CA, so I can't help you there.

Skip Shopping! There is certainly enough at both parks that is worth while. The previous poster's list is wonderful - I would only add to go on Buzz Lightyear at DL - we wnt on at WDW and it was a great ride. Have fun!
