Where, oh where is our guide?

This latest bout of ADDONITIS has hit bad................real bad!! Not only me, but my DH, too. And it's day THREE with no response from our guide!:sad2:
Yes, I know we have 'til the end of Feb. to buy AKV with the promo, but I need my FIX and I need it NOW!:mad:
Does anyone have any advice on easing this attack, short of just calling up and asking for ANY guide who's willing to help? We're feeling like WHOs with no HORTON!:sad1:
 
Hang in there! Guides have personal lives too. I'm making mine wait until the end of the month before I'm giving him my add-on sale. ;)
 
I think after 3 days I would call and speak with a manager. I would think that they would start the add on process for you, or give you another guide temporarily. The manager might know where your guide is.
 
Sorry, I have no advice for you. Our guide has his cell number in his voice mail and tries to make himself available all the time. I hope you hear soon.
 
Our guide, Michelle, usually has a recording stating the day she recorded and the day she'll be in the office and what she's doing at work in between. She may mention that they've been very busy, but states that she will call back in the order that the calls were received.

I think that's a good way of doing business. Michelle has the weekends off, so if your guide had the previous 2 days off, not the weekend, maybe you'll hear today. I hope so.

Funny story from my guide: Woman calls him for a week straight and leaves angrier messages each day for him to call her back ASAP...only problem is she kept forgetting to leave her name OR number!!! He is still trying to figure out who she is!:lmao:

Both DH and I have left names and numbers on his various numbers!
 
Well.....you know
You guide may have a 3 day weekend or maybe was seriously injured in a car wreck or is attending the funeral of a dear friend or loved one or maybe is attempting to get some information in order before calling you back. NO telling, but If the person hasen't treated you badly before then their is no reason to think that he or she is shirking their duty this time. After all they make a living by selling DVC and to blow you off would be counter to their best interest.
I'll bet if you waite a day you will get a good explanation.

A person who unfortunatly has to talk to crazy people on the phone all of the time. .....not you of course but those other people.
 
Give a call to the main sales office, 1800-800-9100. Tell them what you want to do, they can check to see if your guide is "stuck" doing cruise duty this week, or on vacation... If you don't want to miss out on the deal, the record of you trying to call should hold the price.

Forgot to mention............1. yesterday, when my DH called, he was told that our guide was "currently with other people, but would call as soon as he was done with them", and 2. we wound up having to buy our first add-on with another guide because our original one (from '98) never got back to us during a 10-day stay in WDW (in '05).

I could see if there had been some baaaad experience between him and us, but neither my DH or I has actually spoken to him since we saw him in '98!

Also, as a past realtor for many years, there is no way a prospect would wait 3 days for a response from me, nor should they.

I know I'm a captive audience, and he doesn't have to worry about me changing my mind; what bothers me is that even if I buy through another guide, the commission goes to the first one.:mad: (That's what happened with our other add-on)
