Yikes! Poly rate for this year vs next year! The date for value season also has...

... changed! Oh my! Value season this year is $304 GV and next year value season will be $351! I have a reservation this August for $254 GV with AAA. They went up quite a bit! This will be my second time at Poly and it will be awhile before I stay there again! I would have to save some serious money if I want to stay there... Oh well...

Actually, Mousesavers says that it is $315 per night....I'm wondering if maybe what you read had the numbers transposed???

Did you guys notice the value season has also changed?? 2005 value season date 7/5- 10/4. The 2006 value season is now 8/27- 10/4.

Just did a quote for Polynesian GVC for late July and the price came back as value season $3434.20 including tax which works out to $440.00 per night assuming 11.5% tax - are you sure value season changed ????

well, I think that you might be looking at the seasons for moderates or values. Value season for those levels begins in late August....for the deluxes it begins July 5.

The rates for the Polynesian were $304 for GV in 2005, and will be $310 in 2006. With tax, those rates are $338.96 in 2005, and $345.65 in 2005. I know I prefer to think about the room rate, and not add in tax...it definitely bumps up the price

I think the deluxes typically get an "earlier" value season than the moderates and values.

I hope they didn't change the value season! We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary on 8/24/06 and wanted to do a 5 night stay at WDW before our 8/24 cruise. I wouldn't want to pay higher hotel fees in August. If that's the case, we'll celebrate our anniversary early and go in May. We'll still have to pay regular rate, but at least it will be cooler, with no chance of hurricaines and less crowds.

Definate change in 2006 value / regular season for deluxe resorts. WDW official site does not have the dates listed with prices but you can run it for availbilty and it does come up with these prices. I tried it for 1 day aug. 1 2006 and got it at 351.23. (On the WDW site it says the room rate is $315 + tax $36.24).

Yikees, Looks like our last possible poly trip too? Especially for 2 weeks in the summer.

Oh well... there goes my Polynesian for next year summer! And I can't take a vacation when the kids are back to school. They go back like the 3rd week of August. I better save up my money now for next summer if I want to stay at the Polynesian that bad! And it will be a short stay at the Poly!

I think I better take advantage of my trip for August while it's still value season at the Poly!

Well, here's the confusion......WDWinfo and Mousesavers have two different rates reported for garden view. WDWinfo says it's $351.23 for 2006, and Mousesavers says it's $315. WDW info is reporting after tax. So the price for GV actually went up $11, or $12.26 including tax.

I think if you read carefully from the DIS or WDWinfo (whichever you want to call it), the 2006 rate they already included the tax, so it is much higher than the 2005 rate. because the 2005 rate didn't indicate that the tax is included.

I am just curious if it's going to up again after all the rooms are newly renovated in summer of 2006 or whenever that will be done. I'm sure you guys saw the latest new look of the Polynesian. IT's beautiful!

Yes, Fantasia we are Poly fans too. And love the Poly. Hate to see it out priced thou. I know what I am paying in 21 days. We are going for our 2nd trip this year (each over 2 week durations) so I do have an AP rate, but that is still pretty high for us. Our 1st trip was in regular season already, and this one in value season. I was concerned when I saw pictures of the "new" rooms, what the price would be. Sure they only raised the value price minimally but the real problem is the date change.

well, according the Disney website, July and August are still value season. I'm wondering if there is an error with the other information, or if somehow, the official Disney website is wrong? Anyway, there is a discrepency.

I checked intercot also. Had deluxe value season for 2006 as 7/5 - 10/4

I wonder if anyone here from the "dis" will check into this? That is a pretty big difference. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope Dis's www.wdwinfo.com is incorrect, at least this time. Would love to keep it value season!
