Wow! we could've used that...

I also drive my family nuts with the...guess where we will be in "X" weeks...
Some more for the list:
Tweezers
AAA Card
Extra credit card
All of my monthly/weekly magazines from the preceding month (I save them for the trip) - Bonus: they are disposable
PLASTIC/PAPER CUPS! I do NOT want to wash out glasses on vacation and they are safer.
List of things I want to do/see from bbs (I swear I will just remember but then I forget something)
Extra socks with me at the parks whenever rain is threatened.
1 extra pr of shoelaces for sneakers (someone's always breaks)

Visit your favorite make-up counter and request samples - beats taking full size (expensive) ones along that might break or overheat.

Our trips always begin with a stop at Wal-Mart (used to be Publixs) to purchase toiletries, soda, snacks, beer wine, etc...I would rather spend the 1/2 hr shopping than pack everything. Even with Ziplocs, something almost always opens and makes a mess.

In 2 weeks we will actually be packing instead of talking about it!
(okay the 'we' is really a great big fat lie - it will be ME packing)

I also go to local laundramat before trip and pick-up the small packets of laundry soap, fabric softner and dryer sheets. I also pack those small packets of coffee (Maxwell House) for the coffee maker and extra bar of bath soap. The Mickey soaps provided are cute, but don't last.

Before we go to WDW, we stop at the grocery store for a few food items. You can also get groceries delivered to your resort. It's still cheaper than the WDW DVC grocery store.

I actually make myself an EXCEL spreadsheet that lists what I am packing. This way I don't forget to pack anything going or coming home. I also have the days of our trip listed. We schedule a park for each day according to early opening and late closing. We list the rides and shows we want to see in the park and plan our dinner. We don't always stick to the chart exactly, but we never come back saying, "I wish we had done... or we forgot to ....".

Antibiotics? I bring Macrobid...I take it prophylactically... so on vacation I defnitely need it..not to mention all the wet swimsuits, etc. :teeth:

So true! Thank God for Macrobid! I always bring some Uristat too just in case I forget to take the Macrobid.

Some other must haves:
1. Collapsible cooler. We buy a case of bottled water and keep them in the freezer. They keep other drinks cold (box juices) and feel great when it's really hot. Your drink stays cold even if you leave it in the stroller pouch while on a ride. :cool1:

2. Toothbrush holder. I skeeve putting my toothbrush on the counter. We got these from Chick-Fil-A kids meals. My kids were so disappointed compared to Happy Meal toys, but I kept them and just pop it in the dishwasher when we get home. BTW, I always get dollar store toothbrushes to pack in advance so I don't have to worry about forgeting my regular one from the bathroom that day. They're so cheap, it's one less thing to repack to go home too.

3. Paper bathroom cups. I don't want to worry about kids sharing cups or worse, broken glass.

4. Mickey ponchos. We got stuck buying them in the park a few yrs. ago so I just pack them. It's only the times I forget to bring them that it rains!

5. KY. someone had to say it!

As much as I hate carrying around those rain ponchos, it never fails that it will rain if I don't bring them. I leave them in the suitcase, so they are never left behind. I also keep our DVC Resort coffee mugs in there too. I also keep an extra "new" toothbrush in our travel kits, along with other daily hygiene items.

Only 3 more months until our OKW trip!

I went to the water website. Looks good. Have you tried these before?

Did you buy the whole bottle or just the filters? :confused3

Hey,

Someone posted on this thread, way back in July, about the Divacup and the Mooncup.

Then, someone else asked about it.

I just wanted to let that Disboarder know that I ordered the Divacup (because it was the only one out of the three that was FDA approved), and I used it for the first time last month.

I will have to say that it was great. Exactly like everything you read on the web about it. Worked just like it said it would.

It's an amazing product. Thanks to the original disboarder who posted about this item. It will definitely be on my packing list, if needed!

Thanks!
