:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: - I had to laugh when I saw it had made it to the next page........it was quite a comment wasnt it! Chris hasnt told me if I'm right yet!

I think there are a couple of car hire companies close by, but we have decided to keep ours and park it.

We wont be taking all out luggage onboard so we are leaving some in the car. I will have "shopped" by then so theres no way it would all fit in the cabin! We also didnt want the inconvenience of having to drop off and re-hire. We had quotes off Virgin for hiring for a week and then hiring again for the last 3 days, or keeping it all 17 days and it was practically the same price. :confused3

Are you returning home after the cruise?,if you are why bother re-hiring the car why not simply let someone else drive you back to the airport?....I'll be on such a downer on the day we get off the last thing i want is a case of car rage:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

no we are flying home on the 29th, not to sure where to stop we are thinking of a couple of days around cocco beach ( i think thats how you spell!! it) or we may go back and stay with our friends who we are with before the cruise.

thanks karen thats a very good point not having to put my back out carryin caths and olivias suitcases on board!! the way these two shop i think i need to hire a 4X4 !!!!

Sean, we are thinking of using Budget as they are at MCO airport and by the port. We went to their office by the port, to check last year, as on a 4 nighter its not too bad for car park etc, but for 7 nights, its too expensive to pay for car hire and car park, while we are on the Magic ! Perhaps try them. :confused3 The Disney hotel will hold our spare cases, as we go back there for one night before flying home late on 28th. :cool1:

Nancy Im glad you are up for hassling the servers for our pudding!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Could someone please help me get rid of this overdeveloped sense of responsibility?

I'm sitting here in my warm cozy home office - I have everything I need to work from home - outside, everything is coated with a layer of ice, it's sleeting, and they are forcasting 6-9 inches of snow for my neck of the metropolitan area through the better part of the day and I'm getting ready to drive 30 miles into my office.

Why? :confused3 :confused3

I am an idiot, aren't I? That must be the answer.

Wish me well...I'm off to spend the rest of the day in my car.

One last thing - Linda, I left you two posts of bad jokes on the main forum page where you were inquiring about Hell. ;)

Well here I am two hours late in posting. If you think I actually slept until 8:00 am, wrong! I've been up since 3:00 am coughing my bloody (he-he, I've always wanted to say that) head off. I got kicked out of our bedroom and moved to the couch in the living room. Then I moved to the couch in the family room, then the love-seat, then the recliner in the living room again. Chuck left for work at 5:00 am so I moved back to the bed.

Heard all this rumbling going on outside again and noticed the water company trucks were back. I jumped up to take a shower before the water got turned off again. Too late!! Another day without water? I never realized how I depended on it.:scared1:

Taking another "sick day" today. My boss will be angry no matter what. If I come in sick she'll be mad that I'm spreading it around. If I don't go in she'll be mad that she might have to do some of my work. I can't win. Maybe I'll move to Missouri and work for Brenda. I do have 28 years of banking experience. What do you say B???

Guess I'll just hang with my U.K. friends again today.

Come on down, Nancy! I'd love to hire you.

After seeing that both major highways out of St. Charles County headed into St. Louis County are either shut down or seriously clogged due to multi-car pileups I have decided to exercise my non-executive privilege and work from home.

My cat is sitting on the desk watching these huuuuuuuuuge flakes fly past the window and I can see that he wants to play.

See you guys later...gotta get some work done or I'll be in trouble. ;)

Just noticed that we had about 40 DISers respond to our thread but only about 15 of us still participate. Oh, oh..we've scared them all away.:rotfl2:

BTW...Steve, where are you???

More beer for us at the DISS party no?....:rolleyes1

does that mean you're buying?

Hey Mr. "I'm staying in a suite"...why not just have our DISmeet in your cruise-crib come October?

Wouldn't that be fun? Or should I say it would be suite? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm killing myself with the bad jokes lately...I've gotta stop or you guys won't let me on the ship. ;)

Linda,

We've used both Budget and Avis for our cruises. We prefer Avis because they are quicker to get your car from in Port. We have the preferred club for both (doesn't cost anything), but Avis will actually have your stuff ready to go in PC where Budget does not. Budget will also make you stand in the same line (i.e. no preferred line).

Out of MCO they are both fine.

As for shuttles to the port, it seemed to us that Budget took longer to do the trip and we were always seeing the Avis vans go by. Now this last trip, when we got off, the Avis van kept going to the Carnival ship to get people and DCL was passed. Not sure if this is a later morning thing or not. We usually are off the boat early, but since we had late dining and our flight wasn't until 12:42, we took our time getting off.

Hiya folks

Just got back from body balance - tai chi, yoga and pilates - in other words - "the bendy class". I feel very supple now and very "bendy"!

That man is coming back tonight for a 2nd viewing on the house, so fingers, toes and anything else crossed that he offers and its a decent amount.

Brenda - stay home!

Nancy - hope you get better soon and you get to take that shower:eek:
I was thinking the same about this thread- its the same people posting regularly - I have lost count of who else is coming! Maybe when the time gets closer they'll get more chatty.

Anyway, I'm off to flick the duster around before the buyer gets here:rolleyes1

I love your sense of humour (and your bad jokes:rotfl2: ),we'd be more happy to hold a shin dig in our room but would anyone come?...:)

Oh I hope you didn't find out how to check the post counts. Keep it a secret or Karen, Linda, and Chris will start their "war" again.

I was thinking about our (your) group yesterday. The Repo thread is getting so big, they're worried about people not joining the conversation because there are 20,000 posts. They are trying to stop the "fluff" posts.

Anyhow, some mentioned about being a part of a large thread and a small thread. It got me thinking of this thread. I think it is the perfect size. It's not nuts with the posts, but it also isn't days in between posts. It is also filled with good comments along with the right amount of humor and "personal jabs".

Before you posted, I was thinking to myself that there is about a dozen to a dozen and a half of us that post on a regular basis. That size of a group makes it easy to hook up the cruise. If it was like the repo, where 30% of the boat are DISers, you will never see everyone. I will probably only search out about 10 DISers that I've communicated with. Plus anyone from this thread that is going to be on that cruise.
