Yes, you did and no I didn't....yet. I have really been thinking about your LG meet, and wondering if I can do it. Actually what brought me to the Disboards today was to see what the schedule was like for the last two weeks in August..had to ppek in on y'all..Unfortunately, I won't even know until very near the departure date. But I think I will make the ressie, as I always enjoy speaking with the castmembers at the DTC...makes me feel; hopeful anyway! Will you please email me if a code comes up for the last two weeks in August? I am going to reserve those dates with a AAA discount, but since I can't stay on the boards as much, I feel like I am outta touch with all the info...Of course, I will be modifying it anyway, since I certainly can't make a TWO week stay...how do people do that???? Oh yeah, as if it is fate, I had already thought about these dates long before I knew about the LG meet, AND Pop Century is now our official resort. We stayed at the CSR on our last trip, and although it was nice and the pool was cool, we all decided that we love the POP....

I am going to reserve August 19-30, and then when I know more about what is going on here at home, cut it down to either the first half or second half of that. Like you said in your email, I am avoiding the Friday and the rest of Labor Day Weekend. Usually my boys are back in school on the 15th of August, but they are changing the calendar this upcoming school year. So I am thinking of battling the heat and testing the crowds for that period. I seem to remember the Unofficial Guide saying that was a slow period...??? Who knows. I will have to see what DH is planning, maybe go without him. He is a professor at Savannah College of Art and Design, and they go back to school a week after Labor Day. He may have meetings and such, but he doesn't like WDW anyway (CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!???) he may say go on without him. Then he could stay home with the dogs (4) and not have to pay for a kennel. Our kennel bill rivals our Pop Century bill.....lots of incentives...hope they turn out.

Cutting up butternut squash is next to impossible! I suggest that you have someone else cut them up! It's your birthday, you shouldn't be cooking!

Thats my kind of answer! I dont know how my very clever sisters managed to plan a party....at MY house!!

The spaghetti sauce is in the crockpot, the brownies are baked, the eggs are boiled (they still need deviling...) - and there the butternut sits on the counter.....bleh....

Va ~ my stepmom pokes holes in the skin of butternut squash with a fork then microwaves it till it is soft enough to cut up.

Good Morning!!!!

Last night the weather said we would be getting a few inches of sleet.... well now it looks like it may be snow. So we are just chilling waiting to see what we get.

And I am with you PD....I want the snow!!!!! We haven't had any snow this year. Well that we could go sledding....that ice storm last week doesn't count!

We were lucky with that storm last week. We got a foot of snow, so we did get to go sledding, but we need more now, because the snow we have is dirty. Time to clean it up with a new coating!

I have never been skiing....I am afraid I will break something

That'd funny! You and I want snow, but I've never been downhill skiing either. I'm afraid of heights and no one is getting me into a chair lift! Before I had children I did love to cross country ski, however. I want to start again but am currently too out of shape! I'm working on it tho and hopefully next year I can take the skis out again!

All our snow is just about gone now PD it was almost 50 this past week a couple of days so most of its gone now all we have is ice out there right now.. Hopefully that will melt soon too...

LizzY is really hoping that the schol budget doesn't pass so that they cancel band camp! I've never voted no for a school budget, because if the budget doesn't pass all that is really cut is the extracurriclar activities. Winnie would be lost without her school sports! LizzY wants to play with your kids at the pool!

I'd hate for her to miss band camp but I would so for you guys to come while we are all there... Doesnt' seem like it would be the same if you guys weren't there. Then of course you would have to drag your sis along too...
