That would "stimulate" some conversation.

Maybe you should bring some "goodies" for all the men on the cruise.
(you know, note pads and stuff)
:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: On that hilarious note, I'm headed to bed. Can barely keep my eyes open.

Where would all the kids go? The kids club closes at 1, and we all have seen the commercial where it may last for hours!

The notepads and pens we can put in the fish extenders!

The commercial said if it lasts four hours to call the doctor . . . Just how big is that infirmary on the ship if it is full of DIS guys?

Now THAT might be a little uncomfortable . . .

Night Holly!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I've been to the infirmary and it's not that big!

Yeah, time for me to turn in too . . .

Good night anyone on the Left Coast still out there . . .

Good morning Marilyn!

You want to hear the icing on the cake? They have 4 children, all the same age as ours! Our second to youngest is in preschool with their second to youngest. We had our babies about 4 months apart. So we have 12 more years together as I know they aren't moving. Hindsight of course, but I should have never asked him for help. I always knew the wife was a bit odd and not very friendly, but he has always been very friendly. For some reason, I thought he might be more normal even though she isn't, but since I had received that vibe from the wife (and was warned by other neighbors when we move in about her) I should have known he wasn't much different than her - just hides it better. People end up together for a reason and if half the apple is bad, chances are the other half isn't much better. My DH of course just says I should pray for them - which we all know is the way to go. But sometimes, it feels good just to vent and I want to thank my DIS family that I could do so on the boards without being judged. Thank you!
Lisa

Even if he is "normal" I can't imagine what he has to deal with behind closed doors.:confused3

I can hear it now....Mommy, what does this word mean???:rotfl: Mommy, I'm going to write to my teacher, can I use this note pad???:rotfl2:

i'm back and wilson doesn't have a clue on what he will be for halloween. I wouldn't be suprised if the pirate made it out of the box again...2 years running.

Molly is driving me crazy. She is out of school at 1pm been fiddling around on homework since then and still not done with it. she has to write 2 paragraphs, 5 sentences each. she is dragggginnnggggg this out until I die..... She has always had a motor skill problem, very poor fine motor skills in writing and any use of her hands and then it showed itself as a reading problem in first grade...at the end of 3rd grade (with lots of extra tutoring and help with an OT for a year) she mastered the art of reading (and now is a reading freak) but the writing part just doesn't get better. We've had her tested for everything and she scores so well on the inteligence side of things that she doesn't get any extra time or help with writing (& specifically spelling) she spells at the level of a 2nd grader (or worse) all phonetically. We are waiting to meet with her teacher(s) in her new school, hopefully soon, as this is really making me crazy....okay deep breath. If only school could be verbal for her she'd do great!

Do a Google search on DYSGRAPHIA. It is in the DSM4 which is the end-all and be-all of diagnosing disabilities. If she can get a diagnosis, then the school has to give her an IEP (Individualized Education Plan) and that could and probably should include VERBAL TESTING. You may have a big hassle on your hands but if it helps her feel competent, then I say go for it.

Back from Los Cabo, San Jose and San Lucas...

New Dolphin adventure there now, called Cabo Dolphins, the dolphins are well cared for, the people that run the place are very nice and it's near the Harbor and downtown Cabo so it's easy to find. If anyone gets to meet "Ricardo" tell him I said "hello". (A dolphin). I highly recommend

TROPICAL INCENTIVES as your destination planner and transport services they were WONDERFUL and on time every single time we used them in 3 days so they are dependable. The company is country wide, so they have places in all the cities we will be stopping.

The sunset dinner cruise CaboRey was fun - sail to the arch watch the sunset and have dinner with some live music. I'll have some photos to post once I get squared away (office is moving this weekend with everything else going on).

I highly recommend La Fonda for any meal, as well at the Mona Lisa (the view is incredible). I've heard the "OFFICE" is good, but the place looked a dump... it was closed for repairs so maybe next May it will be refreshed ...

Since we won't be staying, I won't bore you with any hotel information unless you want to PM me and I'll let you know about the hotel info I've researched.

Tropical Incentives also has water sports they can arrange and we saw the "glass bottom Kayak's" - they "sail" out to the Arch and near Seal Island, Lovers Beach, etc. The contact told me that while you are out there, you'll see dozens of seals on the rocks but HUNDRENDS under the Kayak's, swimming and playing.

There are several places to do dessert rides as well. I got to try out the Rhino's - lots of fun and quite safe. I even tried to tip the vehicle, doing some minor manuvers (sp?) but it was difficult. I can imagine going up the hills you COULD if you tried hard enough. They have seat belts and will arrange for beverages, etc. It's about a 30 minute ride from the area that we will be tethered. No dock for cruise ships in Cabo.

Hope that helps a bit. Back to catching up now.:dance3: :yay:

I REALLY like the sound of the Kayaks!!!

Anyones kids into webkinz? They are BIG here in Fla! I got her the new halloween black cat just out. That scored some big points too:lmao:
My Sister loves webkins. I got her the black cat when I first saw it. She has a whole bunch.
Thanks John! Your directions really help. I'll go check it out after work tomorrow. WAY too tired tonight to climb up into the attic and it's not too cold anyway. I'm hoping I can swing home and do that after work and before picking Tyler up from school because whenever I go in the attic while he's here, he begs and begs like crazy, wanting to go up with me. NOT happening....I can see him taking a step in the places you're not supposed to walk on and fall through the ceiling.

I was in my mom's attic a few years ago and stepped in the wrong place. My foot went through the ceiling into my sister's room. Not a fun time but my DM took it well and just laughed. Now everytime I go up there she tells me not to fall through.:rotfl2:

I leave for WDW on Sept.26!!! It will be me, DM, and her friend (has not been to disney in over 10 years. They are going to a convention but staying to days extra to go to WDW and invited me. We are going to MNSSHP on the 30th. We got e-tickets. I am very excited! I get to see my old roommate who still works there, and she is bringing me pins from the Cast pin party!

John just really goes for me I think. As long as he gets another holiday somewhere else he is quite cool about it. He really prefers Universal, but we can't manage it this year because of the cruise. We met a couple from Georgia(via this board) when we were there in 2005, and they are coming down for our first week in November so that will be nice.

You and I would get on with the shopping and lunch activities!!!:lmao:

I have actually booked the Segway Tour at Epcot, and a Fantasmic Dessert party for our trip in December that I am going to surprise him with. He would just have said no if I asked him.

Marilyn

Tell me more about the Fantasmic Dessert party!!

Karen

Good Morning Gydell and Marilyn....after reading your posts I consider myself so lucky that DH John has been bitten by the Mickey bug as much as I have. We both share loving the Mouse and all of his toys. I guess I'm very fortunate to have this, as a lot of husbands don't care. I must remember to be greatful.....I'm sure when your husbands get there and feel the excitement they join in.

DITTO!!!

DH is as into Disney as I am, if not more!!!

Karen

I need to get all the girls clothes laid out and everything ready for the morning. I am nervous about the interview. I truely hope it goes awesome. I really really need this increase.

You will do awesomely (word?)

Just be yourself and remember all of the skills that you have learned!!

Good luck!

Karen

Good morning. Looks lovely out but I think it is cold!!! Unlike where you are Holly, we will NOT be reaching 90deg again this year(not sure we ever did actually)

Noel - all the best with your op. Hope you soon feel much better,

Holly - loved the pics of Tyler at the museum. at his tidying up there.

All the best for your interview. You are the best person for the job.:)

I think your candy tastes better Marilyn. I don't care for Whoppers, but these are tasty!

Amy found some UK Maltesers?:yay: I never managed to buy some this weekend.:sad2:

I thought I sensed a change in the air coming . . .

 Get stocked up on your wine! ;)

V, your inlaws' fame has obviously spread throughout the country.:rotfl2:

the company that my husband works for manufactures Viagra. We have notepads, notebooks. pens, ties for men and lots of other stuff with the logo on it. Maybe my husband should wear the tie on formal night!

That would "stimulate" some conversation.

:lmao: Everybody would think, "Hmmm.....he's going to have a great time later after dinner!" :rotfl2:

My husband even has a shirt and a jacket with the logo. As if he would wear it!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Don't know what else to say here.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It is offered as part of Mousefest Land. Meet somewhere not known as yet for desserts and then you're taken to a private viewing area for Fantasmic. I think it is a patio area, but haven't seen any pictures. John actually mentioned going to see Fantasmic again this time so I thought this sounded good. As long as it doesn't rain!:sad1:
