OK, a little diversion . . .

Indians game tonight . . . If Amy's mom can watch Sophia, Amy and I are going, if not, going solo . . .

Playing Detroit - we are up on them by 4.5 games. Every win means another full game up, and the magic number (now at 9) goes down by 2.

Now, if any of you ladies (other than maybe V) know what I am talking about, I may be shocked!

Funny - yesterday at the Browns game they cut to the Bone Lady and John yelled for me to come see...she's quite a character.

We were all wondering today . . . did they really spill beer on Chad Johnson? Or was that another "yellow liquid" in the cups? People who watched it on TV said he kept sniffing his jersey, and I have never known a dog pound fan to waste a good beer . . .

Had lunch with Tyler today. When I got there, the kids were already in the lunch room eating. I wandered around until I found the lunch room, then it was easy to spot his class. Just looked for the littlest kids! You should have seen the smile on his face when he saw me! He just couldn't believe I was there and wouldn't take his hand off me. Was holding my hand the whole time or had his hand on my knee or on my back or around my arm. Very cute! You'd think he hadn't seen me in a week instead of just 3 1/4 hours! After lunch when he had to head to his classroom, he wouldn't let go of me, so I had had to line up with him and the other kids outside the classroom, wait for the teacher to greet each child, wait for them to sing their good afternoon, song, and THEN Tyler reluctantly let me leave.

Off to take another nap for an hour, then have to do some running around before picking him back up from school. Headed somewhere fun after school but don't know where yet. Most likely a park because it's such a sunny day. Supposed to be in the 70s this afternoon. Beautiful!

I HATE bugs....I remember an incident when I was 3 years old and still can recall it clearly to this day...I was outside playing in the dirt at my grandmother's house. I didn't realize it but I was sitting on an anthill. When I looked up I had ants crawling all over me....in my hair, in my ears, under my clothes and I screamed like I was being killed. My grandmother ran outside so fast with a huge pot of hot water and dumped it on my head. The ants all fell off. Thanks to granny for saving the day. I never got over my fear of anything that crawls. It spooks me.

It gives me the chills just to think about it!

now I need to send thank you notes.....what to say?

So glad it went well! For thank you's letter, I try to keep them short and focus again on the strength that I could bring to the organziation and to emphasis how after meeting, you are even more excited...I think thank you's are good ideas, and I think it is now acceptable to do them via email as opposed to mail.

so I am 3-0 in my Fantasy College League and so far 0-1 in NFL...I am leading 30-29 this week, BUT my opponent has his TE yet to play.

I am SOOO glad we don't have to drive to Gainesville this weekend...none of us do well on long car rides. I don't know how people survive the long road trips!

It is totally normal to question yourself after an interview. Don't worry - you did great. You came prepared and did your best. That is wonderful! Lisa

It's 2pm and I'm freezing...it must be cold outside because I'm freezing in the house. I refuse to put the heat on in Sept....it's way too early. So I'm sitting here with my fleece jacket and a blanket trying to keep warm.

That's funny because when I was growing up, my mom had a rule that she would never turn on the heat until the middle of November. She has an oil furnace, which I guess costs more, I don't know though, and it when she'd get the tank filled each year, she would say it has to last all winter. And she always kept the thermostat set at 65 degrees (still does). I hated it because my nose would be runny all winter because I was so cold.

I think it might be cold at that stadium tonight....dress warmly.

My mom was a member of the Lady Mets Fan Club while I was growing up....we lived at Shea Stadium....I know all about the combination of wins/losses to change the magic number. Hope yours goes down by 2. Hope I shocked you!
