We used some points to pay for Elizabeth's fare last year but that was only because I screwed up royally and forgot to bank points and thus we were going to lose them. Otherwise, I doubt that I'd use them to cruise unless we didn't have another use for them.

Our biggest challenge is reserving early enough to get our home resort (BCV). We never make the decision 11 months out - or even 7 months out and thus we get shut out of our favorites.

Sorry.. I'm a cruiser but new to the disney thing... which one is BCV?

A transportation question for the group. Has anyone flown AirTran? They just started flying direct to MCO from Pittsburgh and 90 percent of the time we fly USAirways and the other 10 percent Southwest, but the times for the AirTran flight are best for us for our January trip. We have no experience with AirTran so I was hoping for any input my fellow bananaheads might have.

We use it, as does the rest of my family, because they fly direct from Akron/Canton to Orlando. We've never had any problems with them.

.

I wasn't able to get on last night as we were busy and then up late last night discussing important business stuff. We're considering having me quit my job and stay home and work for us :woohoo: , just trying to figure out a way to make it work.

Good luck!!:thumbsup2 Working from home AND working for the family business certainly has its good & bad points -- mostly good!

You don't have to deal with day care and those costs, but having kids at home makes it more difficult to make and receive calls from clients.

You have more flexibility in your time / schedule.

You have a vested interest in the business' success.

The bad thing is, it's (work) there ALL THE TIME -- beckoning to you in the morning and taunting you at night!!:rotfl2: Although, nothing like a glass of wine at work!!!:thumbsup2

Heres a Halloween pic from one of our trips to MNSSHP when the kids were little

Is that you in the blue dress in front???:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

You mean if you don't work at home, you're not supposed to have a glass of wine? Geez.....no wonder I haven't gotten a raise in quite some time:lmao:

Great pix guys. I have one from a few years ago. Gotta get it on Photobucket.

Tonya-Jacob would love to hear from you guys........

Wendy-Seriously, those costumes are the best. Did you make those?

Jaime-Helloooooooo, I know you're trying to ignore my t-shirt request/pleading/begging, BUT please, please, please with lots of sweet tea on top?

Soooooooooo, what are the chances we'll hit 8000 by tonight???:confused3

The Office is on tonight! My October calendar has Michael with his paper mache head on his shoulder, Dwight in the Grim Reaper costume, and Kevin in his Dunder Mifflin super-hero costume!!:scared1:

No -- it just makes it more convenient!!!:rotfl:

BTW, how did everything go at the DMV, Britney??? Get that license thing taken care of?? Usually it's a good idea to have a valid license BEFORE you drive!:lmao:

Thanks Cheri, maybe we can have a discussion of this with you and DH on the ship. I'm thinking I'll either quit right before the cruise or right after and give them until the end of the year to replace me. (good luck to them replacing ME :rotfl: )

Well... actually the kids would have to stay in daycare in order for this to work. BUT they would probably be there less. Alex is fine, he's in preschool anyway and will be starting school next year.

We're kind of already dealing with the morning and night work thing anyway, Chris works part or all of most evenings, and we both work a lot of weekends, it just would be different.

I just really need some new challenges, I've been doing what I'm doing for nearly 8 years now. I'm excited about doing something different. And I need to shorten my commute and spend more time where I live and with my children.

:lmao: We drink at our office. Is that inappropriate??

Kim... You need to PM her. Geez. Do I have to tell you everything!!

Details, details............

As I've already tried to explain to someone else this morning...I'M BLONDE and not all that bright.

Take a step, drag Kim:sad2:

I did however get the number of bananas on my shirt............:rotfl:

Jeff, I have used them for a couple of trips. The crew is great, planes are clean, and generally have on-time service. Just be sure to sign up for the A+ Rewards program so you don't have any issues choosing your seats ahead of time. (Check their web site and you will understand that more.)

Before I took up drinking..........I used to make his costumes:confused3

Very cute! Wow... you're talented. I just go to Nobbies!

You know there's a whole industry for that! He could become an Elvis impersonator and live by Christine... or better yet a Flying Elvis!!!
