Becky - Good thoughts for your co-worker and her family! :wizard:

Good luck on the test!!

finally caught up.

Amy congrats on your pirate:
 and prayers for every one else.

Thanks! Glad you're home safely.

The girls will pick me up here about 9:00. Bob and I are taking them out for breakfast and then we are off.

I hope your trip is going well!

Hi all! Sorry that I've been a little MIA. I got busy earlier this week and it's taken me this long to clean up. On Tuesday I managed to finish clearing one set of shelves in the basement then vaccuumed that area to rid all of the dirt, cobwebs, who knows what. Dad came down as I was finishing and proceeded to resecure the sheleves and stabilize the whole unit so now I can actually use it all! That will do a long way to helping me with the next step.

Today I may just do nothing. ;-) Actually, I need to start burning our photos onto DVD lest something happen with the computers again (knock on wood). I've made a list of the 4 main projects I have going or need to get going. Each has been assigned a day of the week that I will work on it and the 5th day will be a "field trip" type of day with Terra. So far this week, it's helped me focus on these projects and I've gotten things done on each of them. Now to just keep it that way.

I hope you took it easy today. Good luck with your organizational plan! :)

Hi everyone. The concert last night was fabulous.

I've read everything but just don't have the energy to reply to it all. RL issues with the ex are exhausting me.

He probably takes pleasure in wearing you down...try your best not to let him accomplish that. :grouphug:

We also just found out that my great aunt passed away this morning. Joe saw her last night- yesterday was her 95th birthday- and said she did not look good at all. I am sad that she died but relieved that she didn't suffer for too long. None of us think that my uncle will last much longer.

I'm sorry for your loss, Robyn.

Jennifer - I don't like thin mints. Unless they are frozen then they are good with vanilla ice cream.

So do you buy them and refuse to freeze them so you don't eat them? :rotfl:

Thanks for all the kind words and PD for my dog. It's been a tough week with some ups and downs, but she is doing much better and seems to be on the road to recovery. She's pretty much been in the constant care of either the animal hospital or her new vet all week, but I was able to work from home today so she could have a quiet day of recuperation. Needless to say, she's slept most of the day, but is eating well, taking her meds, and seems to be breathing a bit better. Hopefully this lung infection will leave soon.

And I'm beginning to plot how to get remuneration from the vet that caused this mess. The bills have been a bit  , and I certainly think they should be held responsible. Hopefully, I won't have to resort to using some of my coworkers' legal skills.

I did, however, get an unexpected promotion at work this week, and that certainly couldn't have come at a better time with all this!

I hope you have a relaxing weekend, Lindsay. Congratulations on your promotion and you definitely deserve restitution for all you've been through this week with your pup!

DH just called. He will be going for a pretty big promotion in the next month or so. If anyone has some spare pixie dust he would appreciate it! His immediate supervisor and the BIG supervisor are both encouraging him to take this step, so I know he will do well. But he is a little worried about biting off more than he can chew. At any rate, if he dosn't make the cut this time he will have some groundwork in place for the next time.:)

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Great zoo pictures, too!

Thanks, everyone, for the compliments on my design and for the good wishes for my leg. The leg is starting to feel better, but it still hurts. I think I'm coming down with something else, though. I'm running a low-grade fever (100.0) and just feel kind of yuck.

Drink your fluids! I hope whatever's invading your system doesn't ruin your weekend!

I got no special treatment on this announcement?!! :confused3 :teeth:

You did a great job on the letters and the names are sweet.

I was supposed to be Jennifer until I arrived two months early. Too long of a name for preemie. Good thing too...there were four Jennifers in my 1st grade class.

Great pictures! :goodvibes

Garrett has had a sore throat for 2 days now. He said it does not hurt to much, but you can hear that his voice is different. I hope it does not get any worse or that the rest of us get it.

Quarantine him! :teeth: I hope he feels better soon!

Bernadette - 16 Candles is on right now. DS wants to watch it SOOO bad, but even edited there is way too much content for me to let him watch. DS actually reminds me a lot of Anthony Michael Hall in that movie, but I bet he would be horribly offended if I said that to him.:rolleyes1

LOL, yeah, he probably wouldn't enjoy that comparison, though Anthony Michael Hall definitely beefed up later.

I missed your quote Deb, to wish you and Chris the best on your diet. It's nice to have a reward system in place!

Hope you all have a great weekend! :flower3:

Thanks everyone for the hugs, good thoughts, etc.

Jennifer- I love the letters (and the names that they spell :goodvibes). Emma's middle name is Elyse (I have a huge aversion to the letter "I" since everyone spelled my name wrong when I was growing up) It really bothers me that Lucy's middle name has an "I" in it. But Matylda just didn't look right. Have a great weekend with Kyle.

Lindsay- I am glad to hear that your doggy is on the road to recovery. :cheer2: on the promotion!!

Beth- I am glad that your leg is not quite as bad, :wizard:

Janet- :wizard: for Garrett, I think sore throats are the worse.

Bernadette- I love all the pics you posted. It took me a minute to get "she grew a brick" I had no idea what you were talking about. Your kids are just soooo cute! :goodvibes By the way, did you get my check yet?

Karen- Enjoy your weekend, and getting to spend some time with some furry friends.

Chanon- Great job on the present for Bob. :thumbsup2 I told Eric there was no money for the Wii and then we went out and bought a $400 Dyson vacuum, ours died and I wanted a nice one since I use it about 4 times a day. Needless to say he was very  But little does he know I had already ordered it.

I know I am missing things but I promised I read it all. and :wizard: to all.

Jennifer- Love the names. I have a second cousin named Avery her aunt is name Elisea, not the same but similar.

This comment surprises me because my Aunt is 5 years older then me and named Jennifer, my cousin is named Jennifer and she was born 3 years before me. I did not have any Jennifer's in my elementary class but since it was 1 class for every grade the kids only changed if people moved in or out of the district. There were Jennifer's in the class above and below me.

Tammi-:wizard: :grouphug:  to you sorry ex dh is being a PITA

Grandma is doing alright. She has had a few little ones to take care of this week though as there sitter is on vacation. She has had to walk the oldest to and from school as she does not drive., The school is 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from her house. So 1.5 miles one trip and two trips is 3 miles in not much. time as he is only at school half day. She is only 66 but has cardiomyopathy.

As for people having a rough time, please keep my co-worker Diana and her family in your prayers. I know I am going to miss something that has happened, but her husband recently had emergency heart surgery. Her brother in law and sister in law were in a horrible car crash. He died, she is still in the ICU and does not know her husband has died. Her son has been having medical issues and his wife is 28, she just had a stroke and has bleeding in the brain. All of this has been since the start of this year. I am impressed she is holding it together as well as she is.

I think I am headed to bed soon. I have already taken a nap since I got home, I am exhausted. I have to quickly whip an outline together for my end of term paper. I forgot it needs to be due by tomorrow. It is worth nothing but it is required and due tomorrow. Not quite sure how that works.:confused3 :confused3

I have that test tomorrow from noon to 3pm. I will do well, I will do well. Perhaps if I keep saying this it will come true. I wish instead I was going to the Pot of Gold Enhancement training, but I must take the test during those hours.

Have a great weekend.

Good thoughts and :wizard: for your co-worker, grandmom and you.

I'm sorry for your loss, Robyn.

Hope you all have a great weekend! :flower3:

Thanks Amy.

Robyn - Couldn't you find a vacuum that also plays games? :confused3 :rotfl2:

 :rotfl2:

If you make it that far tonight, the Courtyard Inn should be perfect. The location will be great for you and it seems like a nice hotel.

We are here... in Hartford, CT. The roads started to get bad and when we called to check on availability at any hotel in the Brookline area we found they were all booked. We don't have to check out of here until 11:00 and they have breakfast from 7-10. We all decided to take our time in the morning and see what is out there when we wake up. Thanks for all the good wishes. So far, so good!

HI, Amy! I hope all is well with you & your family! What's on tap for the weekend?

Tonight, we celebrated my step-father-in-law's birthday at a local wings place. Technically, he's only 17, though he looks 68. :teeth:

I think tomorrow I'm going to take Alyssa out for a little shopping (Girl's Club, as she calls it :goodvibes ). I want to hit the Payless BOGO sale before it ends Monday.

All of Kevin's new computer finally arrived (Dell sent it in four boxes throughout the week), so I know he'll be anxious to get that going this weekend.

This upcoming week is a busy one, so I hope we just take it easy. :thumbsup2

All this talk of Girl Scout cookies has me giggling. Our sale is officially over as of today, but girls are still selling for camp and trips. Beth - I hope you get to feeling better! :wizard: :wizard:

Jennifer - I love the names. My middle name is Elise (named after my grandmother, whose name was Elsie), and we've already decided that if we're blessed with a daughter, she will be named Madeleine Elise. :goodvibes That's what Jonathan chooses to call me a lot as well. You did a great job on the craft project, too. :thumbsup2

Bernadette - enjoyed the pics! Lizzy has really grown up, and I agree, your DH looks a bit happier in each one. ;) Glad Emma is looking forward to May, and ready to tackle HM! :thumbsup2

Tammi - sorry xDH2B is still being a pain in the tushy. Is there a light at the end of that tunnel?

Chanon - loved the gift for Bob's b-day - sounds like that is a perfect choice for him. I now only have 5 boxes of GS cookies left. :rolleyes1

Robyn - I was so sorry to hear about your great-aunt. Glad you're enjoying your visit with Joe, as well as that new vacuum.

Elin - glad you guys made it safely thus far!

Janet - hope Garrett gets to feeling better. :wizard:

I need to remember this! Now what to wish for lol

Don't forget to say "Rabbit, rabbit" and make a wish before you go to sleep. If you say "Rabbit, rabbit" first thing in the morning your wish will come true!;)
Good luck on the test!!

DH just called. He will be going for a pretty big promotion in the next month or so. If anyone has some spare pixie dust he would appreciate it! At any rate, if he dosn't make the cut this time he will have some groundwork in place for the next time.:)

Sounds promising! Loads of :wizard: coming that he will get the promotion.

Speaking of his work...how are the benefits? Brendan is applying for a FT truck loading job. He'd be leaving a PT UPS job with good benefits so I was wonderfing how they were at FritoLay.

Hi everyone. The concert last night was fabulous.

I've read everything but just don't have the energy to reply to it all. RL issues with the ex are exhausting me.

Here's a :grouphug: and :wizard: for everyone. Know that I am thinking of you all!

I am glad you and Bob had a good time, Tammi! Did you like Capital Ale House?

 for the ex and  for you

Do you use just the foundation products or other items too? I'm trying to put together my wish list :lmao:

I use, or have used their mascara, blush, eye shadows, liners and lipglosses. I use the foundation, blush and liner every day. I also use their "skin rev-er upper."
