Four books I would read over and over:
2. Stephen King books
Thanks. The food was good but the place was noisy. We were put in the back banquet room where there were several large groups, like the 'after work get-togethers.' But I'm sure the tables out in the bar area would have been just as bad. We found out half-way through our dinner that Constantine from a previous American Idol year was playing there that night.
someone else who likes Stephen King.
I would let you rent some of mine, if I ever had any leftover!!!
I'm glad Brandon and SIL are better.
That poor woman and her family. As for people having a rough time, please keep my co-worker Diana and her family in your prayers. I know I am going to miss something that has happened, but her husband recently had emergency heart surgery. Her brother in law and sister in law were in a horrible car crash. He died, she is still in the ICU and does not know her husband has died. Her son has been having medical issues and his wife is 28, she just had a stroke and has bleeding in the brain. All of this has been since the start of this year. I am impressed she is holding it together as well as she is.
Thanks! Sorry I forgot to mention the check yesterday. It was too much!Bernadette- I love all the pics you posted. It took me a minute to get "she grew a brick" I had no idea what you were talking about. Your kids are just soooo cute! By the way, did you get my check yet?
Glad you made it to CT. We're having rain right now but I don't know what Boston is getting (about 15 miles north). Good luck today! We are here... in Hartford, CT. The roads started to get bad and when we called to check on availability at any hotel in the Brookline area we found they were all booked. We don't have to check out of here until 11:00 and they have breakfast from 7-10. We all decided to take our time in the morning and see what is out there when we wake up. Thanks for all the good wishes. So far, so good!
Have fun at the zoo. Great news about Michael!Tomorrow we're headed to the zoo to enjoy the nice weather. I had a message from Wendy tonight that Michael is out of the hospital and they are going to the zoo tomorrow too so hopefully we'll meet up with them as well.
Yup: In 2008, daylight time begins on March 9 and ends on November 2.Well, Happy March!! The first day of Spring is March 20!
And it looks like the clocks change next weekend? Hmm. That means DH can wear shorts to work again! (Not that he will until it warms up!)
Good morning!
Happy March everyone!
Now I can offically say "We are going on a Disney cruise next month!"
Can I go with you?I have to work today which is a blessing as my kids are driving me crazy & fighting likes cats & dogs.
Good morning, DDA! Just a quick pop in before I've got to get ready for the zoo. Lunches to pack, clothes to find, kid to awaken. Let's go, let's go. Free stuff ends at 10. Okay, we can slow down now. I just thought to check and I guess the carousel still doesn't open until 11 even though it's Sat. That's the main thing I was trying to get to before 10. We can make the Children's Zoo easily. I'd still better get myself moving though. Catch you all later!
Good morning.
Happy March! Spring is almost here!
Why is it that I am awake and ready to get started on my errands but the places I need to go don't open until 10 AM?
Of course there are things I can do here at home. Aurora is still very sniffly and sneezy, and this morning she threw up on a pair of shorts DH left on top of the dresser. So I have laundry going.
I need to pay rent BUT guess what? Our water bill never came so I don't know how much to make the check out for! The mail problem is better but it obviously isn't FIXED because we are missing one credit card statement and the water bill. On the flip side, somebody subscribed to People magazine and put MY address on it so we are getting free magazines! I should really go ask the leasing office if they know which apt. that guy lives in so he can fix it. Really, who subscribes to something and puts the wrong address on it? Does the dude not know which apt. is his?
Good morning!
Happy March everyone!

Jennifer - I am too honest for my own good. I dug in my desk trash and found a postcard we got about the People subscription. I hadn't read it - thought it was junk. I called the number, gave them the account info and told them I have never heard of that guy but I am getting his magazines. The card said his credit card would be auto-billed, and I didn't want that so I had them cancel the subscription.
Oh...and my other neighbor and I found a puppy yesterday! I pulled into the garage and walked down the driveway to get the mail - and there was a dog in her flower bushes. He started barking and barking and wouldn't shut up. So I went over to the neighbors and asked her if she happened to get a dog - Nope! He was tangled up in from his lead and in a choke collar - no tags. CUTEST LITTLE BUGGER. Of course, APL and the Dog Warden both only work until 4pm...and it's now 6pm. As much as Bob and I would love a dog, now's not the moment. Plus this is a puppy. He couldn't be more than a few months old. So we call the Sheriff's department. They want to know if we can keep him overnight. Umm...no. (I love dogs - but not with three cats in the house that are now hiding in the basement - and the dog isn't even in the house). So she pages the Warden. An hour later I call back and she pages him again. Would you believe they will only come out after hours if it's considered a vicious (sp?) dog?? I'm telling him this is the cutest puppy, a little scared and hungry, just needs a warm place..his response "well unless he's vicious, we can't come out - so did you see him growl?" Umm..yeah he growled and tried biting my shoe...sure. That's what happened. Mind you my shoe is not on my foot...it's my garage shoes next to the door that he was biting. The Warden laughed and said someone would come out. An associate of his was here within 10 minutes - and I swear he will be taking this puppy home in three days (the APL's waiting period). The puppy (apparently a Pug/Beagle mix - more expensive than a purebred!) The puppy about threw a hissy when he realized he wasn't allowed to ride in the front seat of the truck!
This is what he looked like from what I could find on the internet - except he was black, tan and white instead of all tan colored like this one:
(Isn't that face just the cutest?!?)
I know he'll be adopted in a heartbeat - and I feel bad for the "owner" for loosing this dog...but put on a collar with tags! Even my cats have tags and they are inside cats only....
Ok..rant over. Time to go back to bed now. I hope I'm up by 6:30am now!
Robyn - I was sorry to read about your great aunt.
Lindsay - congrats on your promotion. I just told the girls and they said, "YIPPEE!! Tell her way to go!" I am glad your fur baby is doing better. Good luck with the funding of all that extra care.
Deb - instead of the "warmth" that Jennifer talks about I use "glee" because I like the pinker tone it has. But I agree that their brushes are terrific too.
