I have to say I am feeling a little bit better today about the situation with my mom. I talked to her to find our which hospital she will be going to, the name of her oncologist, etc. I looked up resources for her using her zip code, and I told her the name of the website one of the girls from the breast cancer thread from the CB suggested.
Her results from her colonoscopy came back normal, which is good. I guess the bad thing is that breast cancer doesn't usually spread to the colon - it goes to bones, brain, liver. She was all in a twist that her bone density screening isn't back, but I told her that doesn't matter, because if she has mets to the bones that test won't show it. She has to have a bone SCAN. I told her again that she should let my aunt come with her to the appt.

The kind of odd thing she was saying today is that she thinks the surgeon who did the biopsy may have thought she was someone else? I don't think that matters, unless they tagged her biopsy with the wrong name. She said after she got dressed (and was in the room by herself) that the screen on the ultrasound showed someone else's name. The Dr. just used that machine to guide the needle, so maybe they never typed in her name? No telling. Anyway, she is going to need WAY more tests going forward so if somebody made a mistake they will catch it soon enough.

I had gotten it into my head that I wanted to do the ABD China trip. Just to fly there and back and pay for the Adventure it would cost over $17,000 so I guess we are NOT going to China.

Hi guys!

It has been crazy here the last week.

I am trying to get a vacation plan together, but with my wife's blackout dates, and my blackout dates from work, it doesn't look good.

The earliest that we could go would be in the fall. Maybe another MNSSHP is in our future. I just don't know.

So my funk has gotten a little worse. We were hoping to go as early as late May or early June, but that doesn't look like a possibility.

Sorry Tom. I hope something works out, and soon!

I've had a great day. I got the paperwork from my atty. that the weekend that I was fighting the ex about is a done deal. I will have the kids for the Communion weekend. Ex's atty signed off on it. Money talks I guess.

Today is Bob's bday so he, Bethany and I went out to dinner. He wanted steak so we went to Logan's. I told Bethany to be sure to tell all the workers there that it was her dad's bday. He was a party pooper though and wouldn't get up and let them sing to him. So we came home and she and I sang to him. I made him a cake yesterday. When we were getting ready to put the candles on it I went out to the garage and brought in the fire extinguisher. That got a big laugh. Then she gave her dad the pottery that she made for him. He was touched that I did that for him. Of course her mother didn't ensure that she acknowledged her dad's bday. They just left and now it's my relaxing time.

Bernadette - If we decide to do 2 rooms it would be at a moderate. Bob and I like them much better and, for us, they are worth the extra money. That being said, we are also balcony snobs, so the Deluxes are what we really enjoy. See my problem? I will have to work the figures some more and talk to the girls over the weekend. They may feel very strongly about one resort or another. Bob is saying, "just tell me where to get off the ME bus."

Becky - I hope you get your assignment done and also have some downtime this weekend!

Tammi - sounds like a great night for you and Bethany and yourBob. I am glad to hear you are having some time to yourself tonight too. You had a very long week!

Elizabeth - you sound a little more "upbeat" tonight. I am glad things are making more sense as you investigate.

Well....with concierge you have the concierge lounge to escape from each other. At CR you would have a really NICE queen for you & yourBob and one girl could have a bed and the other could have a daybed. Do you really want to sleep on a full size sleep sofa?

I pretty sure the food at CR concierge is from California Grill. It was really good the 3 nights I was there in Dec 06.

Good points, Bernadette! I was reading the part about Elin and Bob sharing the sofa bed, and thinking I don't think I'm ready to be a mom if it means sacrificing the better bed!

Elin - do you know how much sq. ft. you'll have with the WL deluxe room? I'd almost wager that it might not be bigger than the regular rooms at the CR. I know a normal room at the WL is 344, and it seems like the CR rooms are well into the 400+ range. I've never stayed there, but those rooms look huge in the pics!

Hmm - don't know if there's a website anywhere, but there are a few threads on the Resorts board.

Which resorts are you guys looking at?

The basic gist is the "free" food and drinks (some lounges offer more stuff/times throughout the day than others), the pre-planning services (through the Itinerary Planning Office, or "IPO" for short), turn-down service, robes, etc. Some club levels also offer some special things to their guests (like the AKL's Sunrise or Wanyama Safaris). Any concierge guest at Disney can book the Wildlife Discovery Excursion, which is a slower tour through the Kiliminjaro Safari ride.

Rooms on club levels are usually grouped in a similar area, relatively close to the lounges, and usually these floors have to be accessed with a key. The on-site concierge staff can help with arrangements while at the resort, arrange special surprises, etc. You generally have a private check-in either in the lounge or in your guest room so you don't have to deal with the regular lines. Packages from the parks are delivered back to your room directly instead of the gift shop.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Good news about the puppies!

i had to do what i didn't want to do. the cat is at the pound. but i do have some good news. i met a puppy raiser from KSDS through another puppy raiser's blog and she gave me an idea of who i might get and i am so excited. i talked to her last night on yahoo messenger for about an hour and a half. it was fun.

I hope you all had a good day. I am heading to bed, to hopefully take a nap. I have an assignment due by noon tomorrow, that is not done. I have to leave here tomorrow morning by around 7am, so I need to get it done before I leave for the event. I can not keep my eyes open, so I hope to take a few hour nap and then get up and do the assignment and then back to bed.

I feel like all I ever do these days is report after report after project after project. I barely have one done and the next is already due.

Well, I have four 13-gallon kitchen garbage bags full of clothes to give away. I have went through everything except 2 drawers in my dresser which has my shorts/summer clothes and my t-shirts.

The sad thing is I found a really nice suit that I have no idea when I bought and don't remember wearing. I've been wanting a nice suit! I also found a lot of clothes that were 2 sizes too small which I thought I had gotten rid of. I know that I will never be a size 8 again. I just want to get back to a comfortable 10 (I was there last year for 8 months) and stay there. When I started my weight loss with the DDA, I was starting to wear 14's. Thank goodness I'm not back up to them. I'm in a comfortable, almost too big size 12 or an uncomfortable, tight 10.

I'm off to bed. I want to get up early and get to the recycling center, the grocery store & St. Vincent's. I can't take all the clothes to Vinnie's but I can take the ones that I know won't fit the girls or are too old lady for them. The others I need them to go through to see if they want any of them. There are some really nice clothes that I hated to part with but I know it isn't practical to keep them. Clean House and Clean Sweep have really helped me in the last couple of years. Clutter is not your friend!

Allearsnet.com probably has photos of all the concierge longes in their photos for each resort.
