May 10, 2008 Ship of Thieves...May 2008 Repo Thread...Part 11

Came from the Geek thread 2 years ago. A DISer was talking about getting ready for a yard sale and said she and her DH were "pricing" all night......went from there and pricing became a code word for making a little souvineer. V must have just forgot which thread she was posting on so she did not explain. :rotfl: Another V-ism.

So she is trying to get a souvineer before the cruise too?

CLEAR YOUR PM BOX...

ya, I'm not Robin today, nor have I been for seems like a week or so huh.

I think I should just take my crabby self and go play in another sandbox, wanna join me?

No because we are all fine here. Just stop thinking about work and everything else that is bothering you and be fine for an hour or so. I know easier said then done.

Great tip!!! Now go erase it! :rotfl: CALLING ALL 23rd brunches...Look at the light....men in black walking by....

Plus you won't have to worry about the sun glaring in the windows as the room is on the port side and we'll be heading north. I saw a picture on the DIS recently, maybe I can find it and copy it here for you.

.

Oh no no talk of Thongs! :scared1: It brings back bad memories of the Dec. 8th Dis Board! It got ugly - lol - but it was on bathing suit thongs - all I can do now is shake my head.

I found out that the beach we were planning to go to in Aruba is topless. Not that I mind but we have the kids:scared1:

Thanks for all the good luck wishes :) Now I just have to wait until sometime next week to find out if I get a new job. At least I walked out feeling confident I did my best. Now I just have to wait and see if they like somebody else better.

All the best to Shannon!!!

Will you be moving towards or away from civilization? I mean Vancouver...:lmao:
goal is to move further north but to a better airport, so further by car and closer by plane. REally want Ken & I to work in the same town - I hate him commuting.

Nan, that is a crazy jump in speed for just one year in age. And 8 year olds with 12 year olds seems kind of unfair, I guess it would be good exposure for the younger kids. I think the idea of maybe practicing with the older group and not actually racing would be a good year of experience without the pressure.

It is good that he is so willing to understand that this will not necessarily be something he ever has to deal with. And maybe it would be good to borrow equipment from the hockey realm, they have neck guards and such.

Pj

that's a big age range to be grouped together - so far my DD's aren't interested in anything that dangerous.

Just a quick update on my brother . . .

He was supposed to have a CT scan today, but they pumped him so full of fluids to keep up his BP, that he is too big for the machine. For now the surgeon has decided that wait and see is the best thing to do. Still in ICU, still on a ventilator, but his vital signs seem to continue to improve.

I spent a couple of hours in his room reading tonight.

As someone said, where there is life, there is hope.

John, I hope everything continues to improve - that's a lot of stress to handle. Its fantastic that you are able to use your laptop and relax a bit while you're at the hospital.

Now that I'm caught up, time to get off here and go fold some laundry (like 5 loads worth :scared1: ). When I get busy, I managed to get it washed, but it doesn't get folded :laundy:
Good night everybody!

I'd love to take you up on the offer, but instead I'm going out to grab a pile to work on in the house.

To make matters worse, are you watching biggest loser???

I am, and eating milk duds popcorn::

Oh man! I was just looking at expedia today. Did you have to 'bid' for it...and did you bid on that hotel specifically? (Haven't used Priceline...not sure how it works.)

$45 I CAN AFFORD....all by my onesies as Capt Jack would say!

.

It's actually easy. Easier then I thought it would be. Just go to Priceline, select bid or name your price, choose the area you want, I chose the Disneyland area, the star level, choose 3 star, and then the price you are willing to pay. If your bid is accepted then you find out which hotel. You do have to enter your payment method, cause if they accept your bid, your card will be charged. So make sure you will for sure be going. But I can't beat the price. This is only my second time using price line and both times I've gotten the same hotel. And there is a shuttle that picks up right out side too.
