hey huggie - how long did you tan for?? i need to start today and idk if it will make a difference for next weekend or not - i'm gonna try to burn quickand then go every day after that ... i wanted to start at the beginning of april - but kept having stuff to do and put it off...
we are doing a candy buffet that people can fill up these cute little celophane bags with candy...
we got -
sweedish fish - gummy bears - peach rings - mike n ikes - reeses cups - and an asst. of mini hersheys like krackel and mr goodbar & stuff... then asst. sugar free stuff for my pappy and his step mom...
i'm excited for the leftovers - to take candy bags on our trip

, which was too good of an offer to pass. So I rode with my friends and had a lot of fun! It definitely puts pressure on you, but it wasn't too bad.

Well....
It's not a night at the castle but
it was a lot of fun and very special to us.
So where were we.
We enter the park and continue talking to Souad from Morocco. We are really enjoying this as she is still quizzing my ds about Morocco. We follow her into Guest Relations at the left hand side of the front of the park. She ushers us past the front desks, all the while chatting us up like we are long lost friends and we just love talking to her. She is amazing and so much fun.
She then takes us into a very nice room (will post pics when I get back home.) She tells us this a VIP room. This is where they take celebrities. The VIPs come into the park thru a back entrance and are then brought into this room until park opening.
She tells us that we are VIPs as we have been chosen to be the family that opens the park today.
The VIP room is very nice. I nearly cry. My dd tells me not to as it will mess up what little make-up I put on.
Souad gives dd a remote which pops a TV up out of a cabinet. Very cool.
We love chilling out in this room. Although I was much too excited to chill.
A magical moment certificate is made for us. We are so excited.
Then Souad takes us down the street to the intersection of Sunset Blvd. We sit on a bench.
Then two CMs come up to chat with us. One was named Doug and the other's last name was Douglas (which I can remember as this is DH's name) and we thought that was too hilarious. There was another CM that came up as well and chatted with us. I was in-shock, so I cannot remember a lot of this detail. Doug gave my dd a Year of a Million Dreams tink pin (Tink is her fav you know.) He also gave me one. Mr. Douglas gave us each a card with helpful hints, like hydrate, use sunscreen, but very Disneyfied.
Around this time, people are allowed into the park and are being held just before Sunset Blvd.
We are told we are "starring" in a scene. (If you have seen the MGM or DHS opening, you will know what I am talking about.) A couple of cars come down the street. One has a director and a producer, a camera crew, a cue card guy etc.
We are introduced as the park family of the day.
The crowd is asked if anyone is here from Little Rock (the crowd is silent as everyone here this week is from New England.) Mari and Huggie would fit in perfectly.
There isn't anyone in the crowd from Arkansas.
We have a line. "Hollywood, Here We Come!"
We perform it flawlessly and with a lot of spunk. We are total goofballs.
So then the car we are in takes off down Sunset Blvd. Every step of the way, I am never sure what will happen next. The driver stayed in character the whole drive and gave us fake money for starring in fake movie in fake Hollywood. He was a riot. We were laughing and waving the whole time.
At one point he tells us to look back at the masses following us. So we look back and you can see the whole crowd being held back on Sunset Blvd. He drives us to the entrance of RNR and lets us off. We think this whole thing is over and my DS jumps out to get our FPs for RNR.
But no, it's not over. Souad is there, she has taken pics with my camera. She waits for us and walks us onto RNR where we are the first riders of the day and see the preshow with a couple of CMs. Which is so cool. And then we ride RNR alone! Just the 4 of us!!! What a blast!!!
It was the just the coolest. Words cannot describe how awesome it was.
So then we exit on a total high from everything and Souad is waiting for us. She takes us to the counter where our pic is printed out from RNR. It is an awesome pic. We have the biggest smiles on our faces. She then tells us she will hold our pic for us at Guest Relations and we can pick it up on the way out of the park.
But wait! We are not finished.
She then says she is going to walk us over to Tower of Terror.
No way!
We can't believe it.
She takes us into the back. Thru the exit.
We meet the ride manager. And we are ushered onto the ride. No waiting!
I just can't believe this is happening.
So then we ride ToT. Awesome!
We exit and there is Souad getting our pic printed from this ride.
The CM there tells she will see us next FALL. Get it?
And then we leave ToT with Souad and talk with her.
She has done tours for Demi Moore, John Travolta and several others.
We just loved visiting with her. We wished she could spend the day with us, but alas she had to "go to work."
She told us when the royal family of Morocco came to WDW she was their tour guide as well.
She was so awesome and made our morning so magical. I think this is the best vacation ever!!!!!!!
DH has been trying to talk me in to it, but I am a bit nervous because of the blood pressure warnings. I'll talk to my dr. about it before I go.

i was in the middle of reading you're story and i got to the "vip room" part when i say outloud to myself "that's awesome!" and dfi looks at me and says "what is"..
so, i start to tell him about the first part of you're story and i start messing it all up... so he goes "just look it up and read it" so i do... then i go back and read outloud the rest of your awesome day...
let me tell you why this is remarkable... any time i'm on the disboard dfi takes a mild interest, but really doesn't care i'll tell him something and i MIGHT get an "uh-huh" in between his xbox and hockey games ... i was in the middle of reading your story when i look at him (basically to see if he's even listening or if i'm reading to my walls)... and he is sitting straight up
