In DC, it costs me $250 or the cut color and tip....worth every penny!!

OMG! Not to beat a dead horse but I just cannot get over this! I go for my $47 color and cut this afternoon. And I will look for a coupon before I go. How do you people afford to live?

Was just talking to DD who is a dog and cat groomer. She was wondering what it costs in these areas to get an animal groomed. Anybody know?

so I just moved all the living room furniture and mopped...now waiting for it to dry and then I will rearrange.

I get my hair cut about once a year and it's around $30 - now my sister spends that on her cuts and colors, but she changes colors as often as boyfriends.

When we leave, I'm just going to toss a hand grenade into the living room and shut the front door.

I started packing this morning.

Notice I said, "I started packing," I did not say, "we started packing."

Not so much packing as gathering.

I did get some sets of packing cubes from eBags and that is making everything a bit better and a bit more organized.

The biggest challenge is to not overpack. Such as, do I really need 3 pairs of shorts? Won't 2 pairs and sending out laundry really suffice?

Storms were very bad last night - had tornado warnings but no hits here - BUT it continued to storm all night long and badly with lots of lightening so I was not able to be on the computer.

I will try to finish this morning before I head to the airport to pick hubby up. He is in the air on his way to Detroit. He made his flight ok from Kuwait to Amsterdam and is now as I type he is in the air from Amsterdam to Detroit! Then all he has left is Detroit to Memphis

Well I am officially graduated!!!

Today I am going with my friend to Piegon Forge and then tonight the High School is doing Beauty and the Beast. I will be getting my postcards today too.

I used to be a fanatic about cleaning before vacation. Now I wait until we get home. If I cleaned I would still come home to cat hair and litter tracked everywhere. DD and DGD's will be coming everyday to take care of the animals. The mess left between two cats, one bird and two little granddaughters running around is amazing. I will need a grenade when I get home.

Looks like we'll be having a regular coffee klatch at CoveCafe each morning. They open at 7AM.

I'll be 'gathering' everything into piles on my bed after I get back from the vet later this morning. And I need to run the iron over my new pink t-shirt even though I'll need to do that again on the ship. Must locate my lime green boa to wear with it for Champagne Girls too! After all, if I'm wearing a tiarra, I must have a boa too!

I'm 2 pounds away from the (most recent) goal I'd set for myself, I've lost 8 so far. So this week will be low carb all the way. . NO SUGAR...there's nothing out here I have to have that is any better than some of the sweet options that will be available in another week. NO FRIED ANYTHING...nothing out there I have to have that is any better than chicken strips at Pluto's (really...they are very good).

Fogot I have to buy a new make-up mirror...or tape and pack the cracked one and just throw it away at the end of the cruise. Still can't find my magnet strip, so I'll be picking up that too.

Well, I think I'm done with these rambling musings, perhaps I should have had my tea before I started on the DIS.

I can see this cleaning thing was a bad idea....but my mom is staying here while we are gone so I would like it to be decent....and I am purging a lot of toys. If the girls can't be bothered to pick up their stuff, out it goes. They don't seem to mind??

I just took the couch covers off the cushions and they are in the wash. I am also getting rid of a ton of their clothes - bagging it up for the school.
I would like to hang by the pool though.
