DDA Chapter 7

I'm ok. Not really, but nothing I'm not "used to". Said inlaws are coming over today, and apparently now staying the night which Kyle and I had a lovely fight about. I'm measuring over 43 weeks pregnant, cry every day and night in pain that I've had for months and am NOT in the mood to play hostess -- especially to someone who drives me insane, moreso every time I see her.

Thanks for asking though ;)

Hang in there, Jennifer! :wizard:

I'm glad you found coverage.... and I hope the vertigo lets up soon!

Yay for not having to work tonight! That should make you feel a smidgeon better right there!

Someone on the SSR thread was selected to be in the DVC travel channel special.

Neat! I wonder if it is the lady I saw who was asked to submit more info or a different one?

Ok, this post is for anyone who is good at math. Katie has had a really hard year with math. Specifically fractions, adding and subtracting compound fractions. I'm terrified that she will lose what little she managed to learn this year over the summer, so I'm looking for websites, workbooks, programs, etc., that could help her. She is not happy about it, but understands that she needs to learn this before math gets harder in 6th grade.

Do any of you know of anything that will help? I have a niece that is willing to tutor her, but she needs materials.

Thanks.

I hate math, and DS struggles with it, too. I don't know any websites that have material that advanced - I just know some basic elementary level sites. Good luck! Maybe post on the CB or the Family board? There are a bunch of homeschoolers so I bet those moms have good resources.

Brnadette Happy Belated Birthday to Lizzy

Have a safe trip Elizabeth, continued prayers for your mom and you

Feel better, Becky! :wizard:

Robyn,
I hope Lucy gets well fast. How are Mo and Emma feeling? Glad to hear Eric still gets to coach. I hope you all don't have to play that team again.

Sounds like you are all set! If you get a chance, stop by the lemonade cart in Frontierland, and have a lemonade with a shot of vanilla for me, ok? That's my favorite treat!!!

Good luck getting everything done!
That sounds yummy, wonder if I could try that at WDW I really like Vanilla in my Coke.
Well, my little Physics Professor turns 20 today!! Where has the time gone?! The kids called Jonathan to wish him a happy birthday...now that he has this internship, his day starts before noon! :rotfl2:
Kristine Happy Birthday to Jonathan.

I've been fighting vertigo all night :confused3 I don't think I've ever had it so bad. It didn't matter if my eyes were opened or closed the room was still spinning. I even feel nauseous. I'm trying to find someone to work for me tonight, but no luck so far. I don't think that I could carry a food tray since I'm having difficulty walking in a straight line :confused3 The customers would think I'm drunk.:rotfl: Hopefully I can talk Colby into a nap later as all I want to do is close my eyes. Of course he wants to play.
Deb I hope you feel better. Glad to hear you found someone to take your shift. Drive safe later. I hope you get everything accomplished you want to this weekend.

That DVC family is a different one than the one who was asked for more info. She made a really cute little video/slide show of her girls at BBB that I saw recently. How neat for them! :)

Janet - He looks so grown up! Very nice photos! :)
All the boys here have that same shaggy hair thing going on. DS REALLY wants to grow his hair out, but it's the wrong texture for that style. He ends up looking homeless instead of "cool".

I need to get ready for work, have a great day all!

For those leaving for the weekend or for vacation, have fun!

Janet - great pictures. You and Gary have a right to be so proud.

Ok, I really need to get busy. I filed a huge stack of paperwork, now I'm heading out to mow.

ExMomboss just phoned to see how things are going with my mom. She had to go into a meeting so it was a short chat, but it was good to talk with her.

I just finished getting a bunch of bills in order. But I have no stamps. So now I get to go put gas in the car AND buy stamps for these 2 stupid things that can't be paid online.

DS said they have a band concert Wednesday night, then he has his awards ceremony Thursday morning. Guess it's good that I am not working next week so I can make it to all of these things without juggling Princess.

I've been emailing back and forth with AR. I had asked her about any new characters that were out and about where she might be working while we are there. This is what she sent me

Hi Deb,

I had special character training today. We now have a "Big Al" from the Bears show at MK, Perla & Susie mice from Cinderella, and Launchpad McQuack (a very tall Donald) from a couple of old airplane movies. Shot all three today. I have no idea when they will be regulars or where they will be. The training was at MK so I assume they will be there. Wanted to give you a heads up about them. I can't remember the name of the movies that McQuack was in but he's great in a fighter pilot's uniform. I'll keep you posted if I hear of anyone else.

Also had some good news (at least I think it is). I was told I'm on the list for Portraits. However there are two lists - a very short list of 5 and a longer list of 15. Two of the portrait people from the Grand Floridian were there doing a display for recruiting portrait photographers for the future. One was an old friend and I asked her when they would be notifying people. She had a smile on her face and said "Ar, you're on the list". Then I found out from a manager there are two lists. They expect to have portrait photographers at all the resorts by the end of summer. That's why they're recruiting. Keep your fingers crossed.

You will get an "excited" email when I hear.

TGIF, DDA!

Bernadette - happy belated birthday to Lizzy! I hope to finish adding borders to the PhotoPass site this weekend. :thumbsup2

Debbie and Jen - enjoy your cruises!

Robyn - I hope the doctor is able to give poor Lucy some relief. I'm glad Eric is able to continue coaching - I hope you guys don't have to deal with that team again!

Becky - great DL/cruise plans! I hope you're able to buy your ticket today with no problems!

Tammi - enjoy your day off! Sounds like you're being productive. Good luck to Alyssa tonight! :wizard:

Elin - glad to hear Button is feeling better!

Elizabeth - good luck with the packing and out-of-town prep. I hope things go well this weekend with your mom.

Jennifer - lots of   for the MIL visit. You certainly don't need that aggravation right now. I think it's time for Kyle to have a talk with his mom....

Glynis - how's Alan feeling today? Good luck with finding some math resources for Katie! :wizard:

Janet - such wonderful pics! And so grown-up!

Marci - hope you have some time to slow down and enjoy your weekend (and those movies!). :wizard:

Denise - congrats to the figs for their final day of 1st grade, and good luck on your last day, too! :woohoo:

Deb - I'm glad to hear you found someone to cover for you! Vertigo issues are no fun - my mom has suffered with it for years. Lots of :wizard: :wizard: that it goes away quickly. (Be good today, Colby! :thumbsup2 )

Have great days, DDA! :flower3:

I'm glad to hear you guys were far removed from the damage! The pictures I saw were pretty rough! :(

The pictures are absolutely stunning in that it shows how much damage and how "perfect" the damage was. Amazingly the death toll is still only one.

My favorite hero story was about the daycare. They had enough warning (thank God for the sirens) that the teachers got all of the kids to safety....in a bank safe!!

I read everything but didn't quote, thinking that there would be a new thread. I don't have time to start one, so I will look for y'all in a new home tonight! :)

This is great! I'll be sure to ask for her if we decide to do the portraits in October! (Did you hear that they are also doing portraits at the Poly too?)

I say we stay here until they lock it. (They do seem to "forget" about us here...) :rolleyes1
