Let's track the EB PC cruise here

that's too funny!:) I had not heard that part - thank you!:wizard:
ditto!
first I heard about it was on pub night.. when Luke had the guy's shirt on and said he was getting pictures with it (and then did) I had no idea something of THIS magnitude had happened. I probably would have died laughing if I'd seen 75+ people get their pictures taken with DJ Dan's shirt on in various ways. LOL

On one of the first sea days Dan and David came to the pool for pool games I believe. When Dan took off his shirt, knowing he was heading for the water, someone, I believe Big Mike (the guy who was volunteered for most Rockin' Bar D shows) hid the shirt from him. That night at RBD David made some mention of the shirt being held for ramson but asked that his name tag at least be returned, which I'm pretty sure it was that night.

Around the pool one day I heard the group ask one of the servers if there was anyway possible to get a photographer over so they could all take a picture with the shirt on before returning it and he came back and said they were all busy but one was with a character at the Goofy pool. The adult pool cleared as everyone in on the joke went to have the picture taken. The shirt was returned shortly after that when Mike gave it to David so that Jeff could make a joke out of it for the show that night. They again joked about it on Pub night when Dan and Luke stole Mike's shirt and had pictures taken in it.

I wanted to add I was at the pool every sea day, all day, morning until late afternoon. No I was not part of the group in question but I did speak to them and to most everyone who was around the pool daily at some point. The stories that have been circulating have been so overblown. Most days the pool was calm with people talking and getting along. On one day a couple days into the cruise there were a 3 people who jumped off the rail or the side of the hot tub into the pool, they were told not to do it again and I never saw it happen ever again. That same day there were again very few people jumping in the pool, they were told to stop and never did it again.

That same day another guest who had a pool water ball and a very small fabric football for their kids to use at the beach in the bag they were using pulled them out offering them up for a catch. I was sitting on the edge of the pool at the time and during the throwing of the balls. One man in the hot tub got the football on two occasions and winged it (he was participating, having fun, but he was over doing it) and the owner of the ball didn't like it and put the ball back in the bag. The other ball was thrown around for a long time until one person complained to security. Security came, took the ball and from then on had a presence at the pool. The people in question actually became friendly with the security and never caused problems again.

There was another day at the pool with a beach ball, the day they were given out as prizes for the MickeyH20. Security watched the entire time they bounced it around and didn't stop it so I guess there was no problem with that ball.

I never saw any flashing of body parts other than the lady in the thong. I never saw anyone who appeared to be drunk around the pool. I never found the pool noisy enough not to have read the 3 books I read while up there. Everyone seemed to be having a great time, the pool was full of life. Maybe a couple people didn't appreciate the fun being had but it appeared most people around the pool did because the pool filled, and the seats were empty, when the ball was being thrown. They didn't interfere in my vacation at all, I thought it was the best times I've ever seen around that pool. The CM's seemed to not really have a problem with these people (other than security) since the people in question at the pool were the people David told all the entertainers to pick on at RBD every night which made for some of the funniest nightime DCL shows I remember.

This is just my opinion. As I said I was there everyday, not a participant, just an observer.

Here's my take on the adult pool antics...

DH and I really enjoyed the bartender at signals. However, by the end of the cruise we were really limiting our time there because of the behavior of others. We knew not to get there until close to 5:00. Luckily we had late dining so it didn't mess with our evening plans. We did our swimming early in the morning after our workout at the gym.

A couple of days before the end of the cruise, someone from this group threw a ball at someone who was not part of the group. Someone complained to the bartender who at that point had to say something to group. And how did they respond? Quite childishly. They still congregated at the pool, but at the other end and would make smart *** comment. And then they wouldn't buy anymore drink and either brought their own or went to another bar.

It was out of control and ridiculous. I was embarrassed even being in the Quiet Cove area when they were around lest people thought we were part of their crowd. The only ones who appreciated their antics were the ones who were part of that group. Everyone else was annoyed. And they did not listen to the Crew Members. If they had listened officers and such wouldn't have needed to check up on them every afternoon.

They wouldn't get out of the way if people tried to walk by them and sometimes if you were sitting at the bar some would crowd in your way to order drinks. I had my personal space violated a few times. They smoked cigars in an area not designated for smoking (and I am not an anti-smoking nazi, my DH smokes, the difference being he smoked in the designated areas).

I heard others commenting about the behavior at the pool including a family who was in front of us as we were leaving the ship.

As for the one wearing the revealing swim suit, it was really out of place and shouldn't have been done.

I would like to add that we too moved to the Goofy pool from the QC pool due to the "group" that was at the pool everyday. Just couldn't get into a relaxing mood there. We had not seen any of the antics, other than the tossing of CM's into the pool or them being overly loud.

On another note, we did see the "thong" woman at the pool and made comments amongst ourselves about her, but I would like to add that I saw another woman in a thong around the QC pool. She was in even a skimpier thong than the one talked about here. Hers was yellow. But I don't believe that person was called out, or commented about, like the one being fore mentioned here. I can only attribute that to the fact that she is the wife of a DISer.

I never mentioned which woman dh was talking about. And dh was bothered that anyone would where such revealing bathing suits in public. So, I'm pretty sure he was bothered by both..... And I imagine that is why he only went through the one day.......

BTW -- I personally never went through that area.

A thong?? :scared1:
It is so interesting reading the last few posts, you would think that the posters had been on diff cruises, it is funny how diff people have diff takes on things, same old story, everybody is diff?

I can only stand sooo much........

For those of you who find it appealing to complain behind a computer.....Try talking face to face to whomever you seem to have the right to talk about. It was NOT your private ship.........You need to accept many different cultures and levels of fun. If you want to whine and complain.....start a support group !!!

And please don't take this as threatening.........It just a suggestion to help you get a clue !!!!

I could be wrong, but I don't think the 1st group being mentioned (tossing the ball) were DISer's....or at least, not part of the group who actively posted on the Meets thread.

The difference between "thong woman" and the other one is about 30 years....and a really great body as opposed to an old, wrinkled one.
It's an ADULT area.....trust me....if most of us had the body she has, we'd be wearing one too. Or darn close, anyway.
And, by the way, she didn't wear one at Castaway Cay, where there were children all around.

Again....... I was at the Adult pool every day. I was NOT one of 'Their Crowd'. I never witnessed anyone being insulted or intimidated. I only saw people having a little bit of fun, at nobody's expense. Did you try talking to any of 'Their Crowd' and explain your concerns ?? Seems not, and that is very sad. I also find it interesting that only after the cruise, during way too much complaining....did some of you find it fit to post.

Reference my previous: You need to join a support group.

oh boy, I think I missed all the stuff you guys talked about. I didn't pass the adult pool area much. The only times I went by were when they had the adult pool games which seemed fun, and the time when a few guys put on tutu to perform synchroized dance in the pool which I thought was funny.

Since I had posted previously about being a fuddy duddy... want to clarify I never saw this person in a thong- and if it's who I think y'all are talking about and I can honestly say that wouldn't have bothered me if I had seen her in a thong Hineys are no biggie- you see how teens dress nowadays? I"ll take "cheeks" showing in a swimsuit than BUTT CRACKS showing with these low jeans nowadays anyway. Hide the cracks please! LOL

and if you are speaking about who I'm guessing this is about... I agree!!! if I had her body I'd be either wearing one or darn close anyway like you said!

Have to comment on this too because while thong usage by said woman wouldn't bother me... I probably can't say the same for DH. He'd probably be a little bothered by seeing "too much skin" especially of someone he'd met already and/or knew. LOL Strangers might not bother him so much though. LOL He did avoid the adult pool but he said it was because of the antics going on... he saw jumping in the pool, throwing balls, etc. He just said it wasn't very "quiet" there.

I didn't say it was the group tossing the ball. I didn't see that. I did see the group tossing the Cast Members in the pool and that was the DIS group.

Not going to comment anymore on the thong other than it is a Disney cruise, regardless of how you look in it. And since the other person wearing one is part of your group, I don't dare comment since the piling on will come.

Well, talking face to face really can't be done no that the cruise is over. Just providing my thoughts on the cruise.

Further, for 1, 2 or even 4 people to come up and say something to a person who is one of a group of 10, 12 or more would probably not achieve anything the way the group would have defended on of their own.

And like you said, it is not mine, yours or the "pirates" private ship, so to comment on any other persons attire then shouldn't be then, correct?

Actually, no it was not the DIS group tossing the CMs into the pool. I don't recall even one DIS person participating in that. I won't say they weren't around, but they absolutely were NOT the ones that threw the CMs into the pool.

I saw CM's getting thrown in after the adult pool games. May have been a different time than the one mentioned here. I do believe there were one or two of that group involved in that.

If it had stayed with just throwing lightweight balls, that would have been harmless. But the belly flops off the hot tubs and rails, the target practice with footballs (knocking things off tables), throwing cast members into the pool, stealing cast members clothing, flashing of body parts, the list goes on and on.

Just quoting myself. Seems that after I stated that I saw 'flashing of body parts' the conversation turned to thong bathing suits. Not sure how the interpretation of the word 'flashing' turned into discussion of a bathing suit style?? I've got no problem with thongs. More power to anyone who has the confidence to wear them. But I did see on a few occasions where bathing suits were pulled to the side to reveal body parts that should be covered. Thats what I had a problem with.

And yes, I was in this area often, that's how I saw so much. I didn't care for much of the behavior I saw, but it didn't stop me from enjoying my vacation.

Why do things always have to be directed as belonging to this group or that? I met so many funny and wonderful people on the cruise. I enjoyed the time I spent at the pool. There are plenty of places to go on the ship that are quiet and one really shouldn't expect a pool area to be one of them. :flower3:

Hey Monica, you and Trevoy ready to hit the zips again? I still can't believe how hot it was and how hard the climbs------------but sailing through the air was AWEsome.:cool1:
