The scrapbooks that the kids got from the stuffed animal sleepover were so cute! I'm friends with the guys in charge, so they burned me a CD of some of the pictures. :)

You're kind of a busy lady.

If you could find them by February, that would be great! ;)

You would think that would be a reasonable time line, wouldn't you? :rotfl2: I open the drawer where I think they might be every day, I just can't seem to remember to look for the Box Tops. :rolleyes1 I almost forgot to make lunch for DS this morning. I think I am working too much and it's making my brain fuzzy.

Speaking of work, DH has to work on Thanksgiving. :guilty: He is off Friday and Saturday, so I guess if the spirit moved me I could go shopping on Black Friday. He has NEVER had that day off before.

Hey all,

This seemed important with the holidays coming up-forwarded to me from a friend at work.Generic gift cards might be the route to go this year.

THIS IS A NEW LIST AS OF OCTOBER 2008

It seems there are lots of stores that are closing due to the "recession" and the fact that people are not shopping. If you have any "gift cards" from these stores, make sure you use them, or you will lose them !

Watch those store money cards and gift cards.. and credit slips! Stores that informed the Security Exchange of closing plans between October 2008 and January 2009. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Lane Bryant,, Fashion Bug ,and Catherine's to close 150 store nationwide

Wow----what a list kinda sad

Amy, those pics are adorable! What a neat fundraiser!

2 of the moms from cooking (NOT Shallow Mom) are involved in a Babar themed tea. It is a fundraiser and sounds like it will be quite the party! $50 for adults, $35 for kids. I brought an invitation home for Momboss but I think there is tremendous potential for Princess to be scared so it might not be a good thing for her.

Talbot's is closing ALL of their stores? I knew they were closing the men's and kid's stores, I didn't think the whole chain was going. Our Talbot's Kids closed in August.
I don't shop at Cache.
I think Whitehall is where we bought our wedding bands.
I can't remember if I heard about Pac Sun or not. I don't shop there, I just know we have several around here.

Speaking of stores that are closing, Libby Lu is closing all 80-some odd of their stores. Somebody posted a link to the newspaper story a week or so ago.

For all that is good, please make her stop crying. Lucy has been crying, screaming, whimpering since 11am.

I have a feeling that she has an ear infection. I don't thinks she's cried this much in her 16 months!

  Oh no. Has Ibuprophen helped?

Did you give her some Advil? Warm compress on her ear? A bath? A little TV or music? Juice and a cookie? A glass of wine? (For you, not for her. ;) )
Did you call the Dr. and see if they can take a look at her?

I hope she stops screaming soon. I have to tell you though, I think there is some sort of national agreement to scream today. There was a kid screaming in the mall, a kid screaming in Target, a Princess screaming at me this morning when I told her not to jump up and down on a plastic step stool... :rolleyes1

The kids I saw screaming in public today were full on screaming - the kind that makes everybody stop and stare.

I'm hoping that it is NOT national screaming day. That would make for one long night at work tonight ;)

That was Matthew last night at Cookie Cutters. He asked for a yellow balloon then he changed his mind. The girl was already inflating the yellow one for him, so I made him take it. That resulted in the worst tantrum/meltdown I've ever seen. Of course, today, he loves his yellow balloon.

He's SO NOT ready to drop a nap, even if he thinks he is!!!
Colby still takes a 2 hour nap everyday. He likes his naps and he would need to go to bed much earlier if he didn't have them. We need to stop them before February, but not now.

That is so cute. Someone was very busy posing stuffies. That must have been quite the undertaking.

Wow----what a list kinda sad

The only ones that we regularly shop in are the Disney Store and JcPenney. I really hope that our Jc Penney's doesn't close as we buy a lot of the kids clothes there not to mention our own.

Deb - perhaps National Screaming day will be winding down by the time you go to work? ;)

If I had to bet money on a JC Penney going out of business I would choose the one in the "dead" mall. With Macy's and Dillard's gone and a lot of the specialty spaces empty I can't see how Penney's and Sears can hang on.

I have to say I am VERY pleased that Wilson's Leather is going under. I wanted to buy a jacket from them 19 years ago. I was going to put it on layaway. I worked in the mall. All I had were temporary checks because I had just moved to TX. The store manager REFUSED to let me use a temporary check for the deposit. I told her I would be happy to leave the jacket until after the check had plenty of time to clear. Nope. I worked in management at another store, so I was giving her my word the check was good, and she would know where to find me if it wasn't good, AND the jacket wasn't leaving her store until the check had cleared! Nope. No way. She wasn't going to budge. OK, fine.

I have never forgotten that, I have never been back in that store. I still have (and wear) the leather jacket I bought at Express later that week, where they were happy to have my business.

So HA! Buh-bye, Wilson's Leather! I am glad you got what you deserved for your horrible customer service!

does anyone's kids play Club Penguin?

Kirsten came home to a package...apparently she one 1 of only 1000 Viking Penguins that they were giving away....I may send her out for a lottery ticket

Debbie sorry you have so much work to catch up on

Theresa hope Abi is feeling better :wizard: Riley stayed home from school today. He was complaining of a sore throat yesterday & when I looked his tonsils were really enlarged. He has never had problems with them before, so I am not sure what is going on. He is on antibiotics right now, hopefully he will be able to return to school tomorrow.

Kristine I have never heard of the penguin club, but congratulations to Jackie!

Colby I hope you had a great Birthday:donald:

Do you know what was in my box? It was 2 perfect Christmas ornaments and they certainly made me smile.

Thank you Elin. The little camper immediately reminded me of my little signature camper
Love the Ornaments Deb

Deb love the picture of Hunter in the box

Chris I hope you had a great birthday yesterday

Rees is really sick with a 103 fever. His eardrum burst this am and is draining really yucky fluid. I work tonight, but John is back from the funeral so I can go. I had antibiotic drops and oral antibiotics, so we started those. If he's still running a high fever tomorrow then I will take him to the doctor.

It has been a rough 2 nights at work. I have the sickest baby they said I'll ever care for. She is truly suffering and is in multi organ failure, but the mom won't take her off support. She nearly died last night, but pulled through. We were so hoping she would go. Please pray that she does soon so that she can finally be at peace. It is so difficult watching her struggle so badly. My heart aches.

Denise :wizard: for Rees, I hope he feels better soon!

Prayers for the baby girl and her parents I hope she is at peace soon

I think we all forgot to wish Mickey and Minnie a Happy Birthday today
Happy Birthday Mickey and Minnie

Poor Lucy and poor Robyn! I hope she is better today.

We are back from the doctors, she has a raging ear infection in her left ear and the start of one in her right. Sunday both ears were clear.

She is doing much better now that she has gotten a bit of sleep and some more meds in her. I had given her tylenol but it didn't touch the pain apparently. She has never, ever been like that before. I will admit that I am a bit spoiled when it comes to the girls having a high threshold for pain.

Well its a little later in the evening, so Elizabeth look for thoes box tops.
