I just popped on here to say my washer died..... it has finally bit the dust and the part we need to fix it is no longer made and we have to buy a new one.......

I know several of you have the front loaders and i was wondering if any one had a HE top loader............ also would we be sorry if we only got the washer now and waited to get the dryer? We have a newer dryer (not a fancy one but it is great) and i cant see parting with it only after a year. I assume that if those newer washers spun out the clothes like they say they do then a more basic dryer would do the job..............

Mandy- I have a Maytag Neptune Top Loading HE. I LOVE IT!! I can watch 8 bath towels in it and still have room and it spins great!!

OH..this has me miffed so I think I will vent. OK..I told yall how I took the girls to the dentist....and I know I griped about Lucy's totally unnecessary braces....WELL....the dentist showed me..she has some PERMANENT discoloration on her teeth now because she hasn't been keeping them clean enough due to the braces...

That stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If my blonde memory serves, I had some discoloration on my teeth after I got my breaces off and I went to my dentist for a cleaning and it took care of it. Fingers crossed that is what they tell you too!

I am SO glad I watched most of the Oscars!! I LOVED how they had the 5 past nominees present to the 5 current nominees.! It made it so much more personal and special. Love that Jerry Lewis got an award- we loved his movies growing up. And I'm psyched that Heath Ledger won!

Did anyone else notice that Sean Penn didnt thank Robin Wright or their kids?! And when they announced his name he turned toward her and kind of looked at her , but she had to grab his face and kiss him because he was going to walk up there! He is a good actor, though. But he will always be Spiccoli to me!

I hate him, I hate him, I hate him! He thinks he is better than everyone in that room and it doesn't surprise me AT ALL that that egomaniac forgot to thank his wife and kids (I don't know why she even came back to him! She should have stuck with that divorce!!)

Yeah...Sean Penn always reminds me of the punky trouble making little boys in grade school. He is annoying.

Bummer....I just thought Mickey Rourke seems like a depressed guy that was given a second chance...and he seems intense. I wanted him to win...didn't see the film...and since somebody gets a staple gun to the face I won't. But I wanted HIM to win.

Hey all! Man I feel like I have been gone forever! What did I miss? Anything?

DD had a 2 hour delay today and in this house that might as well mean no school! I hate to take her for a little bit! What a waste! SO I didnt send her...She needs one more day to recover anyways! She just started eating last night! We both have lost weight! Maybe it will be my kick start!

DS is on vacation this week! I am behind on everything....

Hi everyone. I had a very "crafty" weekend. I scrapbooked Friday night, helped my cousin clean her craft closet/room Saturday. Scrapbooked more Saturday night, then I organized my craft closet some yesterday and watched movies. I watched: The Secret Life of Bees and Made of Honor. I thought they were both good rental movies.

Channing - Did you watch The Amazing Race last night? I taped the Oscars so I could watch AR, then DH wanted to watch Ratatouille (we have seen it several times, it is so cute) so I went into the office and watched it with him until I fell asleep.

OK gals all my running around is done.......well till i have to pick up DS in 3 hours.

I got 30 bottles of juice coming to our publix on Thursday they only got in 1 case of white grape and sold all but a few bottles. The stock manager was so nice and is ordering me more. the BOGO is a great deal, it breaks down to 1.75 each. It is normally 3.49/bottle. Publix customer service is

OK so we will have a new washer on Wednesday! I just got off the phone and placed the order with the store! We researched W/D a few months ago but then decided not to spend that type of money and we paid off the last of some big bills and school loans. Now we have another monthly bill BUT since you HAVE to have a washer i don't feel so bad.

We ended up getting a GREAT deal on a Electrolux washer, its basic white BUT it has the LARGEST CAPACITY on the market! We went in yesterday and it was the last day of a great sale they were running! I got 10% off the price of the washer, the store paid the sales tax, a FREE pedestal, and we got free delivery! I was more than a LG top loader that we were looking at but after all was said and done it was A LOT less We placed the order and that locked in the deal but did not pay because we wanted to think it over and went to a few more stores and NO ONE could beat it.

Last night we ran our washer once more JUST to make sure and it was really broken and it filled up and then started swishing fro like 10 seconds and then tick tick tick that's it. the only think we could get it to do was drain and spin. When I got home the store left a message and said if I ordered it before noon FREE delivery, so i just called the guy this morning and said DEAL! They must really need business!

I found this website that has marked down Eliza B's on them but not the create your own..... they have a cute pair of Slaps for $30........ i figured i would try em before i jumped in and made my own! ugh i wear 7 1/2 and i don't know if i should order a 8 or 9????

Hi Lisa.... Don't tell me what happened yet with Amazing Race I DVR that last night.... DH and I will watch it this evening once the kids go to bed This season there aren't quite as many annonying couples....or at least they haven't gotten on my nerves yet

Hey all....I did some housework....whooohooo...Now I am having a quick lunch and off to Target...THIS TIME IT"S COFFEE MAKER TIME..and I MEAN BUSINESS....

Blue Deb...yes...I usually have no clue about the Oscar movies....I did watch Cold Mountain after it won all the awards...I was like...OMG THIS IS AWFUL...I am not a quitter so I tortured myself and made myself finish it.....I HATED IT. So...I guess my taste is just not Oscar quality. It seems lately in the past few years they have to be very dark and depressing to win....not like the VERY old days

Mandy....that is awesome!! Great deal! I know my Kenmore has a HUGE capacity and it is fabulous....I can do my family's 500 lbs of vacation laundry in 2 to 3 loads. with it.....enjoy!! It will make your life easier. And hey...you didn't mention bringing me any juice.......

I called the ortho....I let them know what the dentist said ...OH BOY..they don't want to have to be taking those babies off.... They wanted to see Lucy TODAY....but that just won't work..so I ahve an appointment in two weeks.

Lisa....NO I missed Amazing Race AGAIN! I am such a creature of habit...I just cannot remember it's on!!!!

I did not need a snow day. We just had a week off. More "family time" was not necessary

The ticker says less than 1 month to spring but the 8 inches of new snow disagree. UGH!

I had lunch with my brother and got my Target run done.....and $165 later ........I'm home. Target really knows how to reel me in to spend money . But I did get stuff I actually NEEDED so I guess it was ok .

Sheli.....Sorry about the snow day . All of our snow is pretty much melted.....so hopefully spring is on it's way .

DEb...I just got back from Target too!! I love that store...but I HEAR YA!! I can spend a fortune in there....I could meander around all afternoon & lose myself...but I had to push myself out because I have too much to do at home....(ya..like I should be sitting here... ) I bought a coffee maker .just a cute cheap Mr. Coffee programmable....the thing is we have hard water in the kitchen and it builds up in the system...so they only last a few months and then we junk them...BUT I did stare at the pretty RED KitchenAid one that matches my stand mixer....but I thought...NO CAN DO ....I'd hate to pitch that one in 3 months.

OK..I do have to get some stuff done!! TTYL....Have a good one, all!!

Hello again!

I hear ya on the Oscar movies...Half the time I am like, Huh?? But I did hear slumdog was real good and a feel good movie and that Doubt was also very good. I know a lot of people that saw Benjamin Button and said it was long! I am sooo not into long movies....

Target...ahh...Target havent been there in a while! I wonder if their sales are down... Did anyone see all the home decor stuff in the back that they had on sale for 75% off??? Ihad to control myself and say NO...you dont need it! But there were some good sales!
