Hello Homies

Well busy again here . Work is very busy .
Our Six Flags opened this weekend . :cool1::cheer2::banana: We are very happy to have our coasters back . Though there were many problems due to the wind this Saturday . It was still a fun day though .

It is Monday again ..UGH :scared1::sad2:.. I am so ready for Thursday .. Spring break YEAH :cheer2:

Hope all the homies are good here . See everyone soon .

our six flags opened friday also.

i doubt anyone in their right mine went this weekend.

it was cold, snowing and strong winds.

right now, we are finally at 32 degrees with 24 mph wind..............ugh

what is with the Dis .........
this happened to me everyday this weekend and again this morning.

i click on a thread to open in the UO forums and all i get is:

error 503, server temporarily busy.

this suxs big time............

and it still loads slow.......

brab, get him up to a quarter and i'll split it with you......

What? You don't want 2 cents? :confused3

Wow, I just got done reading that thread. It seems to have died and others said what needed to be said, so I didn't add anything.

I've never understood people who intentionally take one phrase out of context and use it to pretend they are superior. Arrogance/pretentiousness is not the equivalent of intelligence.

Isn't that most of the DIS? The UO side isn't like that all. :goodvibes We play nice w/ our toys. ;)

Sorry....I'm not having that problem? :confused3

Monday...sun is shining, yet raining w/ thunder clouds in the distance. Going to be one of those days I guess. Our underground fence is in....(as DH sez) looks great. :thumbsup2 :rolleyes2

Off to do some laundry and clean up the mess made over the weekend nobody had time to clean up!

And I thought I was tired of cold! BRRRRRRRR! I feel for you. Our high today is supposed to be 54 with a low of 28 after a week of 75+ weather. Compared to you, we're balmy. I count my blessings and hope the ground is warm enough for our little herb garden. If not, we'll plant again in a week or two.

I usually stay away from posting on threads like that ... it's just not worth the time or effort to reply ... unfortunately people like that have their mind made up from the get go and nothing anyone can say will make them change their mind. Anything you say to the contrary only makes them get their back up and they only get more defensive and start attacking you. They're the type who are always right and everyone else is wrong.

A few of us just left a dog rescue group over that. The National Director turned into a National Dictator whose actions and decisions frequently contradicted the Bylaws and the Polices & Procedures. She tried to put her best rescuer on probation for getting in an argument with her over the phone and not caving in and agreeing with her. To her, "winning" the argument was more important than resolving problems. Sometimes "winning" an argument means you lose. She lost some very experienced, dedicated people over a sequence of events that were never resolved.

Scotlass & Mac ... this is for youse guys ... (and for anyone else who loves Reeses)

HOMEMADE REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS:

1 (11 1/2 - 12 oz.) bag semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
2 tbsp. shortening
2-3 doz. 1 or 1 1/2 inch paper cups

3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tbsp. melted butter

Chocolate cups: Combine over hot (not boiling) water, chocolate chips and shortening. Stir until mixture is melted and smooth. Remove from heat but leave over hot water. Coat the inside of each cup using approximately 1 teaspoon of chocolate. Place cups in palm of hand, rotating gently while pushing chocolate up sides with a spoon or small rubber spatula. Chill 15 to 20 minutes or until firm.

Peanut Butter Filling: In small bowl, combine filling ingredients and mix until well blended. Shape into small balls and place in chill cups. Press ball down slightly to fill in spaces. Spoon enough of the remaining chocolate over the top to seal edges. Chill about 45 minutes. Store in refrigerator for best results.

Here's another one that will make Reese's/candy lovers happy.

1 # white chocolate morsels
1 # butterscotch morsels
1 C. Peanut butter

Melt in microwave and pour into paper cups or molds.

Makes about 80 small cups.

Very easy. I plan on making them today for my daughter's upcoming youth orchestra concert this week. :charac2:

Hey youse..

Im thinkin I will be Pooh sized in October...better check ride restrictions !!

Thank youse.

Hey guys :thumbsup2 haven`t been able to get on my computer for ages today :confused3 Just didn`t want to put the internet on!! And no-one here to help me!!

How rude was that condorman to Todd :mad: I hadn`t seen that thread, but goodness some people are just.....well you know. I thought Todd and others defended their point very well :thumbsup2

Well wish me luck, off to my chubby club in a little while and see if I`ve lost any weight this week :rolleyes1

I should have but you never know!! But I am definately avoiding the recipes that have been given, they sound lovely.................so I`d better not, and stick to steamed veg and yoghurts (not at the same time)

Plain yogurt is GREAT with curried veggies! That makes me want Indian food.

I'd better get the sleepy-head boys up now. They must have stayed up all night or something....

That`s what I`m having when I come in later, well chicken curry and if it`s too hot, a little natural yoghurt to cool it down. Yum yum :cloud9:

Mind, I do like it very hot :)

carole, i don't know what you did for being able to post on that new thread i made of 503 ...........server busy

i have tried for an hour off and on to get back on it......

Wow, I was just on another forum and sent a question to someone and it turns out she lives 10 minutes from me. Now, that's what I call wild considering it was the celiac forums.

Just the other day, I told her to get on the Disboards and to visit Uni when she goes to Disney this summer.:thumbsup2

Welcome....to the Twilight Zone...:)

morning all.
Sorry i was missing there for a bit. Thursday we got some bad but not unexpected news...Dh's work cut 50 jobs...including his :sad1:
We are weighing options and trying to make a game plan for what's next. He has been with the same company since before we got married.
We are still going on vacation since it is paid for and non refundable at this point. We figure it will be our last for a number of years and we might as well enjoy it!

Very pleased with myself.

But, I`m off to Scotland this Friday to mums for 5 days, so that will be difficult as I am out for meals nearly every night, plus with mum spoiling us...............well, I`ll have to do my best :rolleyes1

i feel the economy will get worse before it gets better.

i know that is something you wouldn't enjoy hearing but hopefully, something great will come up for your husband.

go on the vacation. from what i remember you posting before, you had prepaid things and had money put aside for the trip.
you can make this work.

just don't give up.
a job will come along that has your husband's name on it.
