Missouri Disneyfans lend me your EARS

What route do you guys take driving from StL or Jeff County area? We are heading out with our first driving trip in YEARS...It looks like the best route is Cape to Chattanooga to Nashville to Atlanta to Orlando?? Anyone have an estimate on hours? I've heard 16-20. Hoping for the lesser but will have two small kids and driving thru the night.

From KC we do STL to Nashville, Atl, etc. It's about 20 hours. We've done it several times! That's making minimal stops so with small children it may add a little...

We are from Jefferson County, too. We always go through Nashville. It is about 16 hours. My kids were 1 yr and 4 yrs the first time we drove to Fl (we didn't go to Disney that year). We did the drive 4 yrs in a row. A tv in the car was a big help, and as they got older we moved on to video games.

Good luck and have fun.

I have driven several times. It takes about 18 hours from Cape Girardeau to WDW. It's a looong trip, but worth it!

I'm in St. Louis and will be heading back to WDW in a week for the Half-Marathon. I was born in San Jose, CA, so my early Disney experiences were all at Disneyland, but once we moved here, it's been almost exclusively WDW. :goodvibes

Waving Hello from just North of KC. :) We've been to Disneyworld twice and hoping to go back in December.

WHAT?!?! A trip to Florida and no Disney?!?! That's just wrong!:rotfl:

we had been planning a trip to california again this year but now I am thinking its time to go back to wdw and driving down. I think its about 18 hours to WDW from here in KC. We go through St louis/Chattanooga/Atlanta/and then to WDW. We drove back through a two lane road on our way to Graceland one year and that route was horrible. It was raining and diesels were flying by us the other way. The roads were very hilly and the conditions just made it more treacherous. All this talk about driving has given me the bug again.

I'm here. We don't get to go that often, but we have 11 more days til the next one!

I live 20 minutes outside of Branson, MO.

:goodvibesI can't believe I didn't see this thread before!! :goodvibes Count me in! Born and raised in Chillicothe, Mo. Went to WDW for the first time in May 2007 and went back in May 2008 and 2009!! I love it! Haven't ever been to Disneyland but would like to go someday.

Have a magical night everyone!!:wizard:

A lot of people around here (far south county) commute to Farmington. Rural public schools don't have the resources that metro area schools have- though their buildings look amazing! My sister lives in Imperial and her husband commutes to Farmington daily (about a 45-60 minute drive.) I think if you live in close proximity to 55, a metro area home w/ a commute to Farmington is doable.

We live in St Charles now - we have thought about Imperial, Arnold area but I am unsure about it- I guess because aside from college I have always lived here I know it isn't far (maybe 30 min) BUT we would be switching everything, schools, teams, dance studio.... I don't know what to do. I don't know much about the area schools and stuff either so if you do that might be helpful! Thanks

Another Kansas City Girl checking in. Making my 15th trip to the Magic in 2 weeks. Never been to DL, but it is on the list. Well so is every other Disney park in the world. :cool1:
