I think it'll be a long time before I try the balloon. I'm terrified of heights, but, do tend to force myself to do things involving heights. However, despite all of that $16 for 6 minutes just doesn't seem worth it.

Plus, why go up in a tethered balloon? There are a lot of balloons around here, so, when I'm ready to go up I think I'll pick one where I know all of the passengers and get to really travel somewhere.

No flights yesterday, not sure why, the weather was perfect till a small storm came through around 3:00.

And they did not turn on the light inside the balloon last night.

Hmmmn...does it not work? Does it cost too much to send it up with only 10 guests in it? Etc.?

I want my seagull back before next year..

It didn't go up at all today, but tonight when I left work it was up all the way!

First time I have seen it go up at night, it was pretty cool to look at!

BTW it goes high enough to require a red light on top of it!

The balloon is FINE! It is so not a big deal. And I don't think it is really in the air for 10 minutes. They SAY it is 10 minutes including the time it takes to go up and back down, but it felt shorter.

I'm heading down in a few weeks (hopefully!) and I plan to try the balloon. But then again, I've done parasailing so I'm looking forward to it.

oK I just got back from Orland 2 nights ago...back at work bleh...and one of the things we did was take a trip to downtown to trythe balloon. After seeing it I said no way. I guess it was a windy day and we watched it go up and the thing was flying back and forth so fast I couldnt believe it. I dont doubt the safety of the thing but OMG it looked awful. When everyone got off the people said that the "pilot" had trouble getting it to come down. After they got off they closed it for the day and gave the line their money back. I dont know how it might be if it wasnt windy but after watching it I think its a big no way for me. It looks pretty in the sky though
