Nicki & Todd are at it again, F&W style, snacking & drinking oh my! LIVE Tonight!!

Hi Janet! We have stayed at both and the location at both is great, the rooms are nice at both...the WL is much quieter than the BC believe it or not...the lobby and the pool area at the BC is always mad chaos. Not thrilled with the CS at either place, although RF at the WL has a killer pecan cinnamon roll! Prefer the dining at the BC area resorts over the WL ones. At the BC you can take a boat or walk to 2 parks..at the WL you are relying on buses for everything, except a boat to MK.

I guess it depends on when you are going, if it is in Dec I would stick with the WL because of the decorations, they are gorgeous.

If it is for F&W I would go with the BC because of the location to Epcot.

This is a tough one for me because I love the Epcot area resorts but BC is my least favorite of the 3 Disney resorts in that area (only because of the noise and crowd levels)....I will have to go with the WL, now if you were talking YC or BWI I would say go there over WL.

No matter which you choose you will be very happy, they are both very nice.

Thanks for the input. We are going Sept 10-18th for my bday. We were are WDW last year Nov 29-Dec 6th so we were able to see all of the christmas decorations. I made ADRs at all the deluxe resorts so we would be sure to see them all. Unfortunately YC is $800 more then BC (any even more then GF :confused3) so it puts it out of our price range. But BWI is the same price as BC, would you recommend it over WL? I would have to have a room with daybed for DD though. How is the pool at BWI? Can you want from their to Epcot and HS?

I would take the BWI over both the BC and the WL anyday! We stayed at the BWI last year and we loved it, short walk to Epcot, short boat ride to HS and we had no issues with the buses to MK. We had a 2 full bed room with a daybed and the room was plenty large enough. We were in a garden room but requested a view of the quiet pool...it was so nice to sit on the balcony, look over at France (saw the fireworks too) and look at the gardens and the pool. The restaurants in that area are wonderful, ESPN was great, FF is our favorite and Il Mulino and BlueZoo are to die for.

Be aware that the BWI Bakery is very small and gets very busy...we enjoy it though, good light breakfast foods. There is also a coffee hut that has the refill stations and more pastries.

The lobby is not as large as the WL but who spends alot of time in the Lobby? We sat on the upper outside viewing deck in the rocking chairs just watching the BW and the boats...it was great fun!

We didnt use the Keister Coaster pool but used the quiet pool and spa everyday, it was great for us, nice and relaxing. We walked to Epcot all the time, short walk and it helps us burn of our meals! We always took the boat to HS though, just too far for poor little DH :rotfl2:

Just caught up on your whole October review, Nicki! Love the pics of Food & Wine...we are going to have to get there one of these years (before Disney decides to cancel it - that would be our luck - we'd finally decide to go and they'll not have it anymore.)

Haven't had much time to spend on the boards lately...been spending a lot of time researching real estate (condos) in Florida. DH & I figure we spend enough time down there we should just buy something.:rolleyes1

So we're heading back down there soon...I can't believe I'm going to be in Florida and NOT go visit my favorite Mouse;)

And now my Fall 2009 trip is over and yesterday I cancelled our POFQ room for the end of this month...and all my wonderful dining reservations...hope another Diser was able to scoop them up!

I am in full gear on our short but sweet Dec stay...Dec 14-17 at the GF RPC CL and our plans are this:

Arrive around 5pm on the 14th, have dinner at GFC or the Wave.

Since we are staying CL we will do all breakfasts in the lounge

Dec 15th we will go Epcot for the morning, have an early lunch at Le Cellier and then back to the room to rest and snack in the CL lounge. Having an early dinner at Tony's in MK before the MVMCP and then we have the dessert party that night...cannot wait!

Dec 16th we will go back to Epcot for the day, have lunch at Chefs and then over to HS for the rest of the night..Osborne lights! I do have dinner plans at 50's Prime Time but might cancel that for Brown Derby..is this a long meal?

Dec 17th we will go to MK for the entire day, have a late lunch at Kona and then hit the road to go home.

As much as I want to go to signature restaurants I dont want to waste the time on them this trip since it is so short and we are there for the party, decorations and the lights.

After that I do not have any trips planned although I know we will get back to WDW in 2010! Depends on what the bounceback code is in Dec, if I get an email with 40% again and if my business starts to pick up! :lmao:

We always go in the Spring and of course Oct but we had so much fun in January and March with cool weather and low crowds that we might try and get a long or longer weekend in during that time.

Thanks for reading my reviews you guys, I had a ball with all of you!

Nicki....and her trusty side kick Sir Get Me In (a restaurant that is..Todd!)

OH, is it over already? NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!! I want and need more! :rotfl:

Thank you so much for all of your reviews! And even though I am really disappointed you don't get to go at the end of October, but at least you'll get to go back in December!

You have some amazing restaurant choices for December!! We love both the Grand Floridian Cafe and The Wave (one of my new favourites :goodvibes), Le Cellier, and you'll have to wait for my review of Tony's, we went to three Wishes Dessert Parties and the sweeties were really yummy!! So these are all great choices!
No comment on Chefs and 50s as we have never been ;)!

Just a side note - I am so excited since my Halloween Party Tickets for DLRP arrived today - we'll go in three short weeks. :yay:

Thanks for the great report and wonderful pictures. We were there experiencing Food & Wine Oct. 1-5 too.

Thank you Catne! I am still reading yours too...where does the time go? Seems like you were just there! If you want to look into the Marco Island/Naples area let me know...there are some great buys here right now.

Yes, we DID love it! Lots of yummy sweets and since we were a party of two we always had front row seats!!! :woohoo:

I'll try to update my trip report as much as possible, but before we get to the Dessert Party(s), you'll have to drool through my Palo reviews ;)!
Have you ever been to Palo - oh, my - I love Italian food - but I adore Palo's food! :cloud9:

Hi I'm Kathleen, a lurker from LI. I just found your reports, and am starting on this one. I love that you post a link to your posts! Great idea! I just read the August trip...I'll go back and read the others when I'm done with this one. Thanks for letting us eat vicariously through you! I am interested in the lobster you had at Fultons...I didn't see it on the menu. I am new to lobster, and am interested in what it was like. Thanks!:thumbsup2

Hi Kathleen! :yay: Welcome to the food reviews! The lobster from Fultons is fantastic, it is not on the menu but the last three times I have been there the waiters have said if you can dream it the chef can make it for you....the last 2 times I did fried lobster and shrimp but this time I did just the lobster and it was awesome, not greasy and super tender, not chewy or stringy at all.

Where is that exactly?

Palo is the adults only restaurant on board the Disney Wonder! It is just THE best!! We were SO lucky - you are only supposed to have one dinner there during a 4 night cruise, but we made friends with a waiter there, Michele from Apulia, and he got us in twice for dinner and once for brunch! We were in "food heaven" :rotfl:

And these here are just for you! :goodvibes

Brunch - part of the desserts! There were plenty more - wait for my review!

Bahama Mama - one of many :woohoo: but we did try a few others - see, I am learning from ya!

4.jpg

See?????? Well, actually that's the Martini tasting we went to!

2.jpg

And here's one of all of us, together with Michele! The best server on the whole Disney Wonder! :thumbsup2

If these pictures cannot convince Todd to take a cruise I dont know what the heck will...the desserts, the martini tasting...oh the humanity!

Count me in! Do you really think the cruise ship is ready for the three of us???:rotfl:

Probably not. I was going to have us take bets of who would be asked to tone it down a little first? :lmao::lmao:

But I am soooooooo there.

Dont ask me why but I think I will be the first one thrown overboard :rotfl:

Or "BACK AWAY FROM THE DESSERT TABLE!"

Or "Ma'am? Your flash from the camera is making the cream on the pastries melt and slide off"
