Well i got bad news. We decide to cancel. With us living up here in NoVa only for 4yrs we decided to do a road trip next summer instead. We only have 2 years left. We are going New York,Mass,Pennsylvania.

We are hoping to throw a cruise in spring break 2012. You all have fun.

Sorry you won't be cruising with us. Maybe in the future? Your road trip sounds great. Living out west like we do a trip through those states sounds beautiful, have a great time!

Yes... we love our Annual passes! With DVC we get $100 discount and it really makes it worth it! We may sneak down over MLK weekend too but stay with my daughter's godparents. They are snow birds and rent a house for the winter in Haines City just outside of Orlando! The passes are nice because we can hit a restaurant in a theme park and not feel like we have to spend a whole day there!:thumbsup2

We have AP's too! The DVC discount is great!!!! Do you have the TIW card? It really comes in handy!:thumbsup2 We went for Spring Break this year and I'm hoping we can go 12/18-12/24 this year. I hate to come home on Christmas Eve....but I hope it works out. We've been there the last two NYE's and thought it might be less crowded the week before. Maybe the holiday dining upcharge isn't going on the week before???? They way DS's vacation works this year he's out the week before Xmas.
We are going on a non Disney cruise in July (RCCL, Freedom of the Seas). I can't wait. It's my first non Disney cruise in awhile....it should be fun. I wanted to do a Disney cruise this summer, but it was too expensive and it's the same itinerary as we are doing next year.

I got my computer back tonight!!!! yeah! :thumbsup2 Virus free, I hope. My nephew had to wipe the entire thing and start over from scratch. So tonight I'll be trying to remember what the heck I had in my bookmarks.

Lovegrumpy, sorry you guys won't be onboard with us. Have fun on the roadtrip! I keep trying to go north, but my car always heads south! After driving to Disney 7 times last year I think it's now programed to go directly there any time we head out the door! :rotfl:

We love our AP's too...This year we will be able to get five trips out of ours this year. I love how they offered 15 months this time for renewing this year.
The TIW is great. This summer are not going to do the meal-plan. In April when we did it I was not impressed with the food this time.

We were at the desert party last 4th of July too! which side were you on? we were on the sunny side melting to death. So happy when the sun finally set. Our table was right behind the photographer. I agree with you, totally worth it to avoid the 4th crowds. Were you in any of our picts?

We were on the opposite side... the woman in the white top is probably blocking us in your pics!

I was happiest when the show was over and the masses were just stuck out there! We just lounged around and hung with some friends we hooked up with until the crowd thinned out a bit. It was a great time - awesome fireworks show, too!

I loved having the AP's last year and got alot of use out of them. I wanted to renew with the 15 month thing, but my husband said he would divorce me if I renewed! :lmao: Actually I think he kinda liked all the time alone since I had to take the kids every time I went. I think I'm just going to have to go get a job down there to help offset the cost of going there all the time. I'm actually having withdrawls not being able to go there over spring break and this summer. Maybe next year. :rolleyes1

I am very excited to do this now! even more than I was when I booked it!!! And thanks for sharing pics... I loved seeing the view of the castle from the party area! Did you all sit or stand to see the fireworks? I saw on another thread people were complaining about people who were standing and blocking their view but I was told by the CM when I booked this that "this event is standing only." At first I thought she meant for the whole thing but was assured that we would have a table to eat at but that the fireworks show was standing.

We live in Eastern PA! It is beautiful! If you come this way... Hershey Park is great! We live in Easton... right on the border of PA and NJ and we have Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom and the Crayola Factory within minutes of us!

Yes... I do have the TIW card... we did our Spring Break trip in 09 using it for all of our meals and no plan at all. I booked lunches at nice places when the parks were very crowded and we used the card. Then we would go back to the hotel and swim or go Downtown... then just do a QS for dinner! We love the Pepper Market, Sassagoula Foodworks and the value resort food courts(at resorts without table service restaurants I used my TIW card!). This summer we ended up booking 2 seperate ressies ... 1 night at Kidani and 8 more at Jambo (we like Jambo better with the kids)... we booked the deluxe mealplan for our first night to do the castle dinner and Crystal Palace for lunch. The rest of our trip we are doing QS. Our 16 month old does NOT want to sit to eat!!!!

I must admit that I love cruising... no matter what line! We have been on 9 cruises and only 1 was a DCL! By far my fave was Alaska on Royal Caribbean! DCL just brings my two favorite vacations together as one!!!:goodvibes

We sat and ate... when we went you checked in and were led to an assigned table - it's yours for the duration (not sure if that process has changed at all or not). You are free to hit the buffet and have the photographer take some photos, etc. Most people stood for the fireworks (I think the July 4th fireworks are a bit longer... maybe not longer, but definitely a different show...). Those who sit further in the back may have had their view partially obstructed by the overhang of the building. Bottom line - it's wasn't overly packed that you felt packed in while standing. Lots of room. After the show we went back to our table while the crowds disbursed. We were one of the last groups to leave - the CMs kept begging us to take more food which we were more than happy to oblige! :)

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2Nice day here. The pool is up to 80 degrees now...!! YEAH!!

Wow 80 Degrees already. That is great. :woohoo:

Beautiful day here but spent most of it inside getting ready for dress rehersal. had a bit of a scare :scared1: my youngest could not find her jazz shoes. Well my pack rat had them in a bag in the corner of her closet. :headache:

Luckily Mom was around to find them.

Tomorrow is dress rehearsal for our recital. We will be there from 7am to 4pm. Long day but a fun day. :cheer2: It is really the only time I get to see the kids dance. The whole family works back stage and I am on one of the doors to make sure it does not open during a black out or let those that do not need to be back stage in.

When I say the whole family - MIL is the back stage B*(%*% as everyone affectionately calls her. She runs the whole back stage and takes no crap from anyone. My FIL works security - no food or drink but water back stage - yes it was not pretty one year, no boys, etc. My DH is AKA "Mat Boy". He and a few others take the gymnastics mats on and off the stage. He also made a "Toe the Line" stick. This is to make sure none of the girls get too close to the stage to be seen by the audience while waiting back stage. :rotfl: He took a long dowl, painted it black, and put the words "Toe the line" on it to hit toes. And well I work a back door. The kids get themselves ready. We have 4 recitals in one weekend but have a blast.

See ya - Janeanne

Busy busy busy here.... swim meet and soccer games this weekend. I swear that I think I work harder on the weekend than during the week?!? :)

Tim was elected his class president! According to him he's on his way to a US Presidential run in 2032!! :rotfl: Though after this school election exposed him to "politics" he's backing off a bit <LOL>!

Busy busy busy here too, feel like I can't even breathe lately!!! But I am still here and we are still cruising with you guys!!
