Great suggestions.. You live in philly? I go to Taney park, or the skuylkill river trail! Alway walking the dog in rittenhouse! Tell me about the national park and the wildlife preserve! I wanna see.. :cool1: I didn't know about a wildlife preserve here.. Only the zoo. I have a membership there but they seem to lack imagination in ther exhibits.

Just south of the airport, there is John Heinz wildlife refuge in Tinicum. Google it. I promise you won't be dissapointed! And it's free! Also the hiking trails at Valley Forge are great! Some are downright hard!

Well folks...it has hit my family. I have had a headache for 2 days now but associated that with my little friend coming for a visit however yesterday afternoon after an AWFUL day at work I pick up one little HOT 3 yr old. Had to go to Powder Puff for my DD14 so by the time I got home and took DD3 temp it was 100! Needless to say I got no sleep and now I'm exhausted, achy and feel like I'm coming down with something. And we are suppose to have DD14 bday dinner tonight AND I have book club. UGH! Only good news I got this morn. is that our travel docs are being shipped today. :goodvibes

Happy Friday!

Oh and I did receive my IPad 2 that I won for raising money for March of Dimes. I never thought I'd win and that wasn't my goal as I always raise for MoD especially after having DD#3 so it was a VERY nice surprise. :goodvibes

The key is to have the BEST shoes possible, make sure your stamina is good before you leave, hydrate and rest when you can.

I just bought new sneakers I'm breaking in for Disney. I try to do 2-3 miles a day. I would love to wear my cute sandals but I'm going to be a fashion disaster, gotta have my nice comfy sneakers everyday! My feet have been bugging me lately so I'm going for the comfort. It's very important to take care of the feet. :thumbsup2

I posted this in the July thread but I thought some of you might get a kick out of it....

I have a really great story about karma (boy, did I feel like an episode of "My Name is Earl" was happening right around me). I had been in line for the step family and their handler had to take the picture since I was by myself. I stopped to talk to her for a few minutes and asked if she knew when Rabbit might come back out. She said no, but her friend Chad (not his real name since I can't remember it) was over there and I should ask him. I talk with her for a moment more and go over. Tigger is out at that moment with Pooh and I find Chad and ask him if Rabbit will be coming back out. He said, yes, after Tigger and Pooh go back. The line was quite long but I got in it because I was determined to meet Rabbit. The family in front of me has two sleeping children. The family behind me just arrived on property. The family behind me immediately starts complaining that every time they get in line, the character leaves. So, when Pooh and Tigger leave, the mom/grandma/aunt wigs out! The guy behind her tells them that the characters will be back in a few minutes. So, Rabbit and Pooh come out and I get a little nervous because there are still a lot of people in front of me!!! After about five minutes, the people behind me start complaining again. It got so bad that I think the people behind them actually left the line. Meanwhile, I make friends with the family in front of me. A few minutes later, who should I see but the Steps handler!!!! I talk to her for a few minutes and then she goes to talk to her friend at the front of the line. I see her point back to my direction and I cross my fingers that she is asking him to make sure that I get to see Rabbit. We get closer and closer and the people behind me start complaining louder and more annoyingly. The kids start bumping me in line and trying to cut in front of me. I hold my ground. Then, it's the family in front of me's turn. It looks like I'm going to make it myself so they don't add me to their family (we actually talk about doing that!!!). So I approach Rabbit and Pooh and I hear the handler say to the family behind me: Pooh and Rabbit are going to visit with this young lady and the Make a Wish family and then are going in for a snack. Pooh will return with Tigger in about twenty minutes. Pixie Dust for me and karma for them!!!!

Has anyone used the strollers for rent at Disney? If so, do they have any place on them for storage? Some places have a mesh bag hanging in the back or at the bottom there's a shelf or something. I'm trying to decide if I'll need to buy a mommy hook for the stroller.

I have a few questions for the Disney Vets. If you can, please help me out by answering them as best as you can.

1) Upon arrival, will bell hop or someone help us get our bags from Saratoga Springs Carriage house (or wherever we'll have to check in) to the Treehouse Villas or will we have to hike it to the THVs carrying our own luggage?

2) I made a few extra dining reservations, but traveling with a large group i'm not sure if their budgets will allow for the extra ADRs. Can one just order an appetizer at a sitdown meal so as to save money or do they have to eat a full meal?

Thanks in advance.

ETA: Only 18 more days!!!!

yes they'll bring your luggage for you. I believe you have to be in your room to receive it.

You can order whatever you want. You may also share meals if you're paying out of pocket. I'm not sure if you can do that on the dining plan or not.

Just be sure to bring some flip flops or water shoes in a backpack to the parks where you will get wet. There's nothing worse than walking around in wet tennis shoes!

Just bought my pre order PhotoPass CD.

Am kinda bummed about this trip because I got into a big argument with my mom and sister about my sister's graduation party this next weekend and we are all going to Disney three days later and I am worried it will cause major tension on this trip.

Hopefully everything works out and this trip can be enjoyable.

Congrats on winning an IPad! We're big supporters of MoD too since my six year old was a 25 weeker! Go you!!!

Will do!:thumbsup2

All I know is that the world better not end tomorrow! I have done way to much planning to not make it to WDW.:worship:

Born at 25 weeks and now six years old! What an absolute miracle. Over the years I've met several people who share that story, and I am just amazed at each and every one. So, go you, too!

As for the question posed about working out, I've always tried to keep up a routine, but having a trip to look forward to always helps me stay motivated. I am happy to say that my endurance is becoming better. Of course, this is on a treadmill in a climate controlled environment. We'll see how I fare out in the heat and humidity as opposed to Utah's dry, thin air. Luckily, I was raised in Alabama, so humidity is not completely foreign.
