Ok, I found the pictures of the puzzle we made last year for dd's surprise.

The first pic is the front, the second is the note on the back and the third is her reading it to me after she solved it

Now I am trying to decide which to use for this year's puzzle. It never gets old (keeping the secret):

picture 1 is from out 7/09 trip, pic 2 is older, but the three of us who are going on this trip and pic 3 is from our 12/10 trip when we had to take a really early flight and she fell asleep at the 5pm dinner at 'Ohana with a fry in her mouth.

Sorry the second set of pics is so big. Photobucket won't let me make them smaller. Anyway, dh wants to go with Pic. 2. I get that it's from our first 'just us 3' trip, but it is from 4/08. She was not even 5 yet. She's so different now. The one with Mickey was from our last July trip (2009) and is more accurate of what she looks like now. Pic 3 is just funny! I've never seen a 7 yr old fall asleep in their 5pm dinner.

Anyone want to help me pick ? I'll take a vote lol Btw, last time we let her find and do the puzzle Thanksgiving night after everyone went home. Our trip was 12/12/10. This time, I'm having a medical procedure in the hospital on 6.29 which is 2 days after her birthday, so I figure if all is well when I come home, I'll have it ready for her to do that day. I gotta get to work people!!

We can't have a designated photographer for the 20th, but if we see one wandering around, we can ask him to come and take a pic of us.

We should see hopefully see one walking around somewhere

Not sure if I ever asked to be added to the DISmeet. Unfortunately I have been real busy with work and home and haven't been on in a while. Trying to catch up on all posts and everyone's PTR / TRs...my goodness what you can miss in a couple of days.....pages upon pages.

But anyway I babble. Going back through the posts I missed on this thread I couldn't find the list for the DISmeet on the 20th so I wasn't sure if I was on it. We will be in Epcot that day and would like to be included.

There will probably be 5 of us - -me, my sis, my BFF, my dad and BFF's Dad. The 2 moms and 1 aunt will have the 6 kids this day so the adults can enjoy the Worldshow Case

I know there was talk back and forth about bringing trinkets...was anything ever decided on?

Sorry for all of the questions and goinging on and on....btw, we are from New Jersey!

Oh this sounds fun, how about a little something to represent where we are from, looks like we are all from different places. If we do that, we should make sure we note who is with us, for me it is just DD7 and I!

WOW... this thread is really heating up. Lots to respond to...

I'm jealous, I would love to take a vacation for that long, but I can't complain too much, this year we are there 7 nights, 8 days, our longest trip to the world.

We usually do 7 nights, 8 days. I talked my DH into 8 nights 9 days this time. I was ecstatic. I tried hard for 9 nights 10 days, but didn't get quite that lucky. I'll take what I can get! We also do over July 4th so that is one less day he has to take off.

I seriously doubt this will ever happen again to me.

I had considered this actually. Because I wanted to know how much I could fit into our new smaller suitcases. But, then I figured it was too much work and gave up the idea.

I think a trinket per family works the best. I have an idea of what I am getting a trinket of... I just have to figure out what exactly to get. I sort of live in no where land, so nothing too exciting here. I'm near coal country. Do you want a piece of coal?



And an extra fun piece of news.... last day of school for the students was today. Just 7 days of work left for me then summer vacation!
