That is my reaction too Val!!!

Hi Gina, I'm Stephanie!!! If you look on my PTR later tonight I'm actually going to post a picture of the backpack I'll be wearing in the parks everyday that will make it easier to recognize me, and there is a picture of me on the first post! I can see what you look like from your avatar. :goodvibes And I will have a LGMH on my backpack too!

<-Kathy. I'll be the one wearing the Disney shirt..... :rotfl2:

And ksromack is Kathy right? Taaren is Taaren! And levenhopper is Jordan..,,

Yup, I'm Jordan! And obviously you all know the name of my traveling companion, Abby. :thumbsup2

True, but do not cast Lohan as Abby!!!

Do I dare ask who you would cast as me?

Ok, for those of you playing along at home - today was final decision day.

FIL saw the doctor this morning. He took the brace off (two weeks early) and put him in a soft collar. So in spite of how he feels, he's clearly recovering well. But of course he has a long way to go. The doctor told him no heavy lifting, nothing over his head and "don't make me regret taking this off early."

There was a point this evening where FIL decided he felt good today and maybe they should go for part of the time. But at this point everyone agrees that would not be a good idea. They are definitely looking at the next trip though. Hoping I get that bounce back for Oct. and cross your fingers that we can go when Air Supply (MIL's favorite band) is playing.

Off to cancel rooms now. Much as I wanted a decision, this is very hard to do.

So sorry that things didn't work out. But, like everyone else is saying: it's better for him to fully recover now so he'll be able to go 100% for the next trip pixiedust:

I'm sorry it ended up this way but look on the bright side....you will get to go back in 10 months! I do feel old though......I saw Air Supply in concert in 1983 or 1984. Drove back to StL with my roommates from Mizzou!

I can't believe we leave tomorrow!! DH is getting off early and we are driving at least half-way. That way, it puts us that much closer to WDW on Thursday and we'll still have plenty of time after we check in to go do something!! We packed our suitcases tonight. Still have plenty to do tomorrow before we leave!! I sure hope to see some of y'all while we are there! I will have my LG Mickey Head on my camera bag so be sure and say hello!! Oh my goodness, I can't believe our trip is finally here!!:cool1::banana:

WOW! I'm all nervous for all our friends who are leaving this week!

Wow, I'm late to the party (obviously...part FOUR!!). Anyway, we're headed to the World next Saturday!!

We'll be at BWI December 8-10, then over to the Poly (Hawaii building) December 10-15. So excited!!! We're really looking forward to spending the week with friends and dinner at Be Our Guest!

Welcome! Our vacations overlap (we arrive in Orlando on 12/8 but check in to POR on the 9th.....then leave on the 17th). We have a couple meals planned at Poly though!

I am on Cyclobenzaprine and the doc did say I should still take Ibuprofen or the like. I made it through work today without falling asleep :thumbsup2
Last night I took it and fell asleep and missed Two Broke Girls and Mike and Molly. DH told me they were funny. Oh well, they may be on demand for me to watch.

Sorry to hear about your back pain. I HIGHLY recommend you get Tiger Balm Patches. They work miracles. You can usually find them in CVS, Rite Aid or
similiar stores. They are by the Icy Hot, but my whole family agrees the Tiger Balm is better. They run around $8 for a package of 5. You can leave them on for 8 hours. They really help with reducing the pain and you don't have to worry about any side effects. Good luck and have a great trip.
We will be staying at the Poly Dec 21-30. :cool1:

I was thinking of getting those for at home, DH is missing the pine scent of the real try while I am not missing cleaning up from one. Where did you get them?

We got them at Walmart (near where they sell the Xmas trees and holiday items)...but I've seen them at Target, and even in our local Shop Rite.

We'll be there at the same time you are...been checking the weather and so far so good!:thumbsup2

All this talk about illness yesterday...or more specifically how to avoid it. Around 10:30am yesterday one school calls...between the 4 kids, they attend 3 different schools. The first school says "DD is here in the nurses office and has vomitted; she doesn't look good...very pale." So, I say "Ok, I'll be right there." I arrive to find her writhing in pain, hands are cold and blue; she tells me later that she did vomit...all over the stairwell!:scared1: I really thought we had a case of appendicitis or something just as serious on our hands. However, she came home and fell asleep and woke up starving! Not sure what she had but, it appears to have resolved. As I am tiptoeing around the house trying to clean and make plans but, resolve to sitting down and reading a book...I didn't want to wake her and needed to keep an eye on her; DBF calls...he got a call from DSS school...he is sick and needs to be picked but, he has a sore throat, headache and sensitivity to light. I tell him about DD and that I can't leave her so, he takes a half day from work and comes home with DSS. So, we sat in living room...in silence, with two sick kids and start thinking, "how long do the rest of us have, til we get sick...and we are 12 days til Disney!!!":scared1: I woke up this AM with a sore throat and headache...11 days to go...

Ok, rooms are cancelled. I'll deal with the ADRs tomorrow.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. It's hard to be happy and sad and disappointed and relieved all at once. But it's nice to know you guys totally understand.

Going to bed. Tomorrow it will be all about Plan B. I'll post before I drop ADRs.

Suggestion on ADRs: Just leave them.

We had this happen to us last October, at a late date. My mom and step-dad had to back out about 2 weeks prior to the trip (for good reason). We didn't need to cancel rooms, etc (they were staying with us in our DVC villa)...just had to modify our Dining Plan.

When we called about ADRs, the person we spoke to said the only way to modify the ADRs was to cancel and rebook. That could mean losing some of the hard to get ADRs, if the party size change resulted in no availability. She suggested leaving them the way they were and just telling the folks at the podium, when we checked in for the ADR, that our party size had changed.

She said it would NOT result in a charge to our CC for those places that require a CC guarantee. As long as we showed up, we were OK.

We did what she suggested and had no problems.

Report for morning crew:

IMPORTANT: Please Read!

This thread is getting close to 250! I won't be near a computer with net access till late tomorrow afternoon (5:15pm), so if this thread reaches the point of being locked, I will start Part FIVE around that time. As per usual, please save the first 4 posts for me! Thanks.

Cyclobenzaprine works well. I've used 5 and 10 mg when my back spasms. I don't think I've ever had the problem of drowsiness with it. Only when I have to take a hydhrocodein with the cyclobenzaprine, do I get drowsy and fall asleep.

Just read back...so sorry to hear that your plans changed. But, I agree I wouldn't drop those hard to get ADRs and risk losing them all together.:sad2:
