I am not ashamed of the name above all names
For it has the power to heal and to save
Strength for the weary
Peace to the troubled soul
Peace to the troubled soul

It's the name of Jesus
It's the name of Jesus

Jesus, name above all
Jesus, name above all

Mightier than mountains
He lives among the weak
Ruler eternal
Lover to me

Jesus, name above all
Jesus, name above all

Good Morning Everyone! Had a few extra minutes this morning so I thought I'd sing a song. ::yes::

Let It Go/Newsboys

You are waiting on a beach
For a healing word to come
Maybe an apology in a bottle
Maybe a flare that says, "I'm sorry."
And the hurting leaves you numb

Will you forgive?
Will you forget?
Will you live what you know?
He left His rights
Will you leave yours?
You don't understand it
Let it go

You are waiting on a beach
This is where the east meets west
And as another sun sets on your anger
The darkness laughs, as the wound destroys
And it turns your prayers to noise

Will you forgive?
Will you forget?
Will you live what you know?
He left His rights
Will you leave yours?
You won't understand it
Let it go

This bitterness you hide
It seeps into your soul
And it steals your joy
'Til it's all you know
Let it go

Will you forgive?
Will you forget?
Will you live what you know?
He left His rights
Will you leave yours?
You won't understand it
Let it go

Will you forgive?
Will you forget?
Will you live what you know?
Beneath the cross
You hear His words,
"Father, forgive them,"
And you know
You can't understand it
Let it go...

"In Thy presence is fullness of joy." Psalms 16:11

This is where glad hearts love to get together...

Does anyone have the lyrics to the song "In Your Presence"?

I wanted to post them because they go so well with the verse but I don't know all of the words and finding them on the internet is proving to be a difficult task. If anyone can help me out and post them I'd appreciate it. :)

The lyrics are something like this ~

In the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forever more...

Hi everyone,

I don't know if you all remember, but a few weeks ago I had asked you to pray for my mom. I wanted all your prayers and pixie dust for her, so she could keep her job( that I told you about on the first post). And guess what, today she was told that they are going to hire her on for good!:Pinkbounc She is so excited and very happy!:)

I just wanted to say "Thank you" for all of your kind prayers and all of your pixie dust, that you sent my moms way. You all are such special people to me and I don't know what I would do with out all of you! We are all one big happy "Ohana" here on the DISboards!

"Ohana" means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. ( Can you tell that Lilo & Stitch is one of my fav.)

And Michelle, I liked the song you posted.

Have a wonderful night, everyone!

Wooohoooo zen1!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc I definitely Do remember you asking us to pray! And I am so excited she got it! :sunny:
Thank you for telling us!

Wow! So excited for your Mom! And I do remember praying for her, too! I'll have to add this to my prayer journal.

Can I add a little praise of my own?? I was feeling down this week -- Valentine's Day can be a cruel holiday (my ex walked out two years ago and I'm in separation limbo because he won't file for divorce and I'm not going to spend money that I truly don't have on something I didn't want) Anyway, out-of-the-blue DS#2 called and asked me to come visit him at Penn State on Saturday! Then, DS#1 wrote to me that I should always remember that I was his first valentine and always will be. Aaahhh! He was my best Valentine present ever -- even if he did arrive four days late! (Feb. 18th will be his 21st birthday)

I Will Never Be

Words and Music by Geoff Bullock

I will never
Be the same again
I can never return
I've closed the door
I will walk the path
I'll run the race
And I will never
Be the same again

Fall like fire
Soak like rain
Flow like mighty waters
Again and again
Sweep away the darkness
Burn away the chaff
And let a flam burn
To glorify Your name

There are higher heights
There are deeper seas
Whatever You need to do
Lord, do in me
The glory of God
Fills my life
And I will never
Be the same again

And I will never be the same again

God's love, peace and grace to all of you!
In Him,

Edie

"The Lord liveth." Psalms 18:46

Three little words, no better news than that! ::yes::

I will call upon the Lord
Who is worthy to be praised
I will call upon the Lord
Who is worthy to be praised

The Lord livith
And blessed be the rock
Blessed be the rock
Of my salvation
The Lord livith
And blessed be the rock
Blessed be the rock
Of my salvation

Edie, what a blessing!! :) I am so happy for you! Enjoy your weekend. :)

Hey Michelle! Thank you again for the great scriptures :)

I knew if I poked around the boards long enough, I would find where the Christian DISers hang out! :wave2:

I just want to come here and say. PRAISE HIM!!! I have had one of the worst weeks in my life and that is no lie. Boy was my faith tested in many ways. But guess what God saw me through it! So to celebrate the end the week I want to shout GLORY TO GOD! God is definitely worthy to be praised!! Everyone have a blessed and peaceful weekend.

Kimickey: I will praise him with you. Life has just thrown some serious curve balls this week, and the devil's been busy. But, the devil is a liar. He is already defeated!! Glory to God in the Highest.

I heard an old, old story, How a Saviour came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary To save a wretch like me;
I heard about His groaning, Of His precious blood's atoning,
Then I repented of my sins And won the victory.

O victory in Jesus, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about His healing, Of His cleansing pow'r revealing,
How He made the lame to walk again And caused the blind to see;
And then I cried "Dear Jesus, Come and heal my broken spirit,"
And somehow Jesus came and bro't To me the victory.

O victory in Jesus, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, Beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about the streets of gold Beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing, And the old, redemption story,
And some sweet day I'll sing up there The song of victory.

O victory in Jesus, My Saviour, forever,
He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him And all my love is due Him,
He plunged me to victory, Beneath the cleansing flood.

God bless my friends here on the DIS!
