There were 8 total for two different jobs, we have another one mid week for 100 people. Been pretty nuts but you got to take when you can get it.
On the home front DS # 2 is in bed on meds and DS # 1 just got home from a friends with a fever and a sore throat...guess its back to the clinic in the morning.

What's going on in Ontario? You guys are all sick.

Morning....made it through last night. Only stayed for just over an hour and escaped. Dad wasn;y feeling very well again. We are wondering if he maybe has the flu bug going around. Trying to get him into the hospital to be checked out. Sounded a bit better this morning.

The whole thing has thrown me into a state of depression, DW noticed and I can acknowledge it. I'll try to hide it with my razor-sharp wit.:rotfl2:

Yikes I hope you don't come down with it.

Hope your Dad is feeling better Brent.

Evening, men. Hope all is well. Been consumed with many non-Disney things. Which I'm not happy about. But don't want to complain as being busy isn't necessarily a bad thing! I had a long day in the cold watching the Steelers shooting themselves in the foot and finally ending playoff hopes (you're welcome, Randall!) I'm hoping to call it an early evening and catch up on all the happenings within this happy corner of the Earth.

There should be some type of law that precludes things that take time away from Disney.

And you got some of those platters mailed to me, right? They look good.

I didn't know anyone actually bought those things. We always make fun of those.
:

It's kinda like the 4 wheel drive trucks. Sure, they make sense for those who farm, hunt, shoe horses, or anything else where you consistently go off road. Here, 4x4 trucks will have huge sales because we get this type of snow fall maybe once a year and it really helps when you drive on ice. :clown: :lmao:

We have some of those people here but they think the 4-wheel drive means they can drive like the pavement is nice and dry.

Looking for some sage advice. On our last trip, our girls out of nowhere became interested in pins and trading. As Christmas will soon be upon us, I was thinking some pins in their stockings would be a great idea. Since we are just getting into this, does anyone have any suggestions on starter sets and such? Or accessories?

Evening Dads. DD has finished her first semester of college with all A's and came home yesterday for the holiday break. Watching my Blackhawks struggles continue a bit. Here's to a good week and safe travels.

In Atlanta rather than Charlotte. Aunt did pass away this afternoon so we will be traveling weather permitting.
Sorry to hear about your Aunt - prayers
Morning guys. The play was a huge success! Both DD's did well. The one who was the lead rembered all her lines and surprised us by her dramatic abilities. Inlaws are leaving after lunch :cool1:
Congrats to your DD actresses as well as to the in-laws leaving
Glad to hear it went well. Oldest dd has Nutcracker performance today - regardless of weather.
Congrats to DD and sorry about the back of your head

When kids first started we did the basic starter kits with a lanyard based on their favorite characters. The starter sets often have a couple of duplicates which is ok for trading as remember cast members have to trade with you especially when it is kids. Ours now have a big book that they keep them in. Warning though - carried several extra pounds of pins on lanyards in backpacks over the years

I'm a pin collector, not trader. Thus, I have bought all mine at WDW. I've read on some boards where people will try to buy some cheap to trade at WDW with mixed results. Some see to get great prices and others ripped off. I've look at some on the Disney Store and they've had some sale pricing at times. I think there is a forum on th DisBoards about pin collecting. Sorry, that's all I got.

Dad seemed a little better today, stopped by there tonight. We discussed it a bit, we all think it can't be the chemo/cancer that is causing this latest scare, he must have some sort of flu/virus, and with his lungs the way they are....He's planning a doctor visit tomorrow.

His cancer doc though has decided to wait till after the holidays to start dad on the "attack chemo", so he can closely monitor it's workings. They just want to confine and inhibit the lung growth, keep it from spreading.

Jo and the girls did their best to keep my spirits up. She's doing her damnedest to help me. We went and grabbed some Christmas gifts for the girls we ordered from Sears, and got the annual Santa pics done. Dinner was at Boston Pizza.

So I've only been on aww board (its more fun and safe here ;] ) for a little bit and posted only a couple times.. and I'm not qualified as a man... but..

I got engaged! Woo! DBF DIS a great job finding a ring! :))))) now for planning our disneymoon!! Woot!

Congratulations! Get him on here, we'll make sure we teach him the ins and outs. :thumbsup2

We have been crazy busy with the restaurant and a bunch of catering. i will try and post some pics later. On top of all that our youngest DS is not feeling well the last couple of weeks, he had a fever all day yesterday and a sore throat. Spent the morning a the walk in clinic and he has strep throat and a possible ear infection, got a first dose of antibiotics into him and he is starting to perk up.

Hope everyone stays healthy over the next few weeks. :santa::santa:
But he was still helping make those platters, right? After all, it is a family business and he's part of the family.

We bought a couple of lots off of EBay before our last trip and saves serious $$$. You can put together a really good trading selection as well as keeping the ones you want this way.

Brent, glad to hear your dad is doing well. He as well as you, are in our continued prayers.

Morning guys :surfweb:

We had freezing fog last night :confused3. I honestly don't remember hearing that before. Had to stop on the way home from the last play performance to scrape the windows, weird.

My DD's wanted me to remind everyone only 16 days until wrapping paper Armageddon :lmao:
