Official 2016 Dopey Challenge Thread

5k done! Off to the Magic Kingdom this afternoon. Ran from corral E with my partner today, that was pretty crowded! Luckily in corral A tomorrow.

Facebook keeps showing me memories from a year ago when I was in Disney for the Dopey Challenge. I wish I was there now! Good luck everyone!!

Had a great run out of E this morning. Had to dodge a few people, but my Garmin says I finished at 3.2 miles and I shut it off a little after I crossed the finish - definitely the best run distance-wise for me at any RD event when it comes to stay in close to actual race distance. Looking forward to tomorrow!

I was told that after the 10k run I did not need to get my picture done ... The man said that only on Saturday and Sunday were needed but yesterday we were told to make sure you take your pictures EVERY DAY for validation at the end ... I took my picture anyways , just wondering if they confused goofy and dopey , also did anyone else hear this ?

I also heard this from someone in an orange vest inside the "Dopey" tent. Hopefully it's true! (I forgot to take note of whether it was a runDisney employee, or Track Shack, or something else.)

Was told yesterday no pictures needed, just see them on Sunday. Today I heard someone saying Saturday and Sunday only. Would love an official update/clarification from runDisney on this.

Volunteer at the finish told me no pictures needed if you had your photo taken at the packet pickup. Hope he was right!

Last year they didn't do any photo verification until after the marathon (even though the program said otherwise). It was confusing.

Yep! I asked a CM in the Dopey tent and that's what she said.

Yesterday my friend Ed was competing in the Disney Full marathon (he was doing the Dopey Challenge, 5k, 10k, 1/2 and full marathon over the 4 days) in his hand chair (he is a disabled vet). While his car was parked at Old Key West his power assisted wheelchair was stolen off the back of his car. Please share on Instagram, FB, Twitter, any social media you can in hopes of finding his chair. #getedhischair

Does anyone know if you can buy all the photos from the 4 races from MarathonFoto in one package? They list a Dooey Chalenege download package, but it's kind of tied to each race, so I don't know if I buy it if I'll get the photos for the other three races too. $100 for four races worth of photos is worth it, but not 4x$100!

This is quite simply amazing. Thanks for putting in the time to make this. Interesting to see Joao Marcelo Avelar got clipped in the marathon. He won 3/4 events but Jeff Martinez beat him by a large margin in the marathon. I'll take a 160th place out of 6323 finishers!

Congratulations on the 160th place!! Reflects all the hard work.... Somehow it should reflect all the work you did for everyone else too!!

Not sure what happened to Paula. I saw her at the 5K and passed her (looked like was with her daughter?). She flew by me in the 10K at about mile 1. She didn't finish the half marathon per the rundisney stats. She didn't even start the marathon.
