I don't understand people who get hung up on other people's paces. Thinking about your own pace....sure that's normal. But worrying about other people's???
The thing is...how I feel when I'm running my fastest right now feels strangely a lot like how I felt running my fastest a year ago at a slower pace. Because when it's all said and done isn't running just about how you personally are feeling in any given moment out there? What if paces and numbers didn't exist? My 9 or 10 may feel a lot like someone else's 13 or 6 or 12 if we're all going full out, trained or not. I mean I know there are people on this board that run their "easy" days at way faster paces than my "easy" days but don't we both know how nice "easy" feels and aren't we literally experiencing the same thing no matter the number?
I don't like people who are surprised when they think I'm faster than I look and I don't like people who are concerned about me being slower than I look. How about we take "how I look" out of the equation??
PS: thanks for letting me crash your thread again, I had to vent
