Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Hi everyone! I'm back from my first CL stay and it was lovely! I questioned the value before, but I think I'm hooked now. I didn't get a ton of pictures, but did want to share some that I took of the AKL CL lounge offerings - there was a small screen (almost like a digital picture frame) in the lounge that displayed the following images on repeat:

Beesly this a GREAT help. Thanks so much.

OT but for those of you who asked about the Tomorrowland Terrace/Garden Viewing Dessert Party. DO IT. Great experience, in my humble opinion.

Since I can hide behind internet anonymity I don't mind saying this. I was a bit weepy watching from Poly last night. I flat out  at times watching from the MK tonight. Having proper volume and really being able to hear/feel the music made it a more powerful experience. That part is missing from the Poly viewing experience, but the low volume was a problem during Wishes too (but since I knew the story (and the words) it wasn't that big a deal to me).

Here was my view from the Garden Viewing area. Had tons of room. I would do this version over the Tomorrowland Terrace version in a heartbeat. Still shocked how good this show is.

We are back from our delightful stay CL at CR!! I don't know how this possibly happened, but we were upgraded from a standard view Atrium Club room to a 1 bedroom suite on the Tower Club level (Bay Lake view). I am still in shock and can't believe the amount of pixie dust that must have been required to pull that off. I had been daydreaming about the pictures @GADisneyDad14 posted a few weeks back, especially since we were traveling with a 2 year old and could have used the extra space the suite provided. But the resort appeared to have been sold out on the Tower Club level for weeks, so by some amazing luck, someone must have cancelled and we were lucky enough to be checking in on the right day. Ironically, my parents who were checking in a day later and supposed to be in a non-CL room were also upgraded to the Atrium level. [Still suspicious that my sister may have been behind this, but she denies it!]

I promise to post more detail and photos later, but I have nothing but amazing things to say about both club levels at CR. I'm happy to answer any questions in the meantime. I will say without a doubt that the CMs we encountered on both floors were so incredibly kind and made us feel like family (with the exception of one that I'd just like to forget about because he had a chip on his shoulder for sure!). It was an absolutely incredible trip and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either club level at CR. The resort is beautiful and so incredibly close to MK. We walked every day on the path (but for one day we narrowly avoided rain and took the monorail back). I think the resort itself is incredibly nice, especially for being one of the original facilities.

We go back in about 60 days to see what AKL CL has to offer!! I'm trying to reset my expectations so it's a clean slate and I'm not comparing everything against CR CL!! Can't wait!
Congratulations on a great trip and all that pixie dust!! Sounds amazing.
We will be at the CR atrium club next month and was wondering what the breakfast offerings were? Making sure I can get some protein and won't need to take shakes or bars with me. TIA

Thanks so much for the Plaza Dessert party review and the photo! It looks like it's a great place to watch the new show! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :goodvibes:

Thanks! I don't mind saying I really only booked it for the reserved fireworks viewing area. The desserts are a nice sweet treat, but not my main goal. I'm only traveling with DS on this trip so a bit easier with just two of us to get away with that logic, I admit!

Dang, I missed your post yesterday. Wow, NICE UPGRADE! Just to warn you, you are spoiled for life. Nothing is ever going to compare to Tower!

That would be my motivation as well. I don't like getting pushed and shoved in the big crowds so we usually don't get to watch the fireworks from that area or Main Street.

Hi CL peeps! I lost my password to the DIS, and then I have just been busy. I have been trying to lurk though :) I have some changes to our summer trip to announce. Our quick Poly stay is now all Universal, BUT I am surprising the kids with a 4th of July trip, and we will be at Poly TPV CL!!! @GADisneyDad14 I am so glad you enjoyed the fireworks last night, and report back after the dessert party! @TJA I'll be searching your old Poly 4th trips this afternoon!!! Happy planning all! DSS helped us book a cabana and I've been blessed to work with the same woman the past two trips!

Yay exciting! Guess what - we are currently also booked Poly CL for July 4 week (LV)! I'm not 100% sure we'll keep it (still debating about a few things...). Also have the cabana booked a couple times during our stay - what day did you book?

I'll be there as well for the 4th (GV)! We have a cabana booked on the 4th for the day. Can't wait! I think we may go to MK from 8am - 10am and use our 3 FP and then make our exit back to Poly for pool/lounge/relaxation/cabana for the entire day. So excited!

@pas130, @TJA, @Ferrentinos - DIS Poly CL July 4th party? :bounce::bounce::bounce:

I have a reservation there that spans 7/4 as well, although I likely am cancelling. I booked it before my current Pandora AP preview trip and now want to make July 4th a shorter stay but I'm boxed in by availability. I probably will pull the plug and instead round out the year with a couple of Halloweeen and holiday party trips in the fall.

But 7/4 at Poly is totally on my wish list! Someday!

FYI: We got back a week ago and our breakfast offerings were exactly the same as this list. Plus greek yogurt in the fridge. I really appreciated the small protein options, but we had scrambled eggs at WL CL during the second part of our split. I'm probably in the vast minority, but I would trade some of the afternoon and evening offerings for more robust breakfast options in CL. T

hat said, I'm afraid we're completely spoiled after our first CL stay: even my Disney-reluctant husband was a major convert after all the wonderful luxuries of staying CL. :)

I was at WL CL last week and it was boiled eggs every day.

Your last statement has me ROFL. :rotfl2:

Check-in/greeting experiences can vary. There was no greeter at WL when we went in November, we checked-in at the front desk. I think we were then escorted up to the lounge and they did a very brief tour, but it was very quick and not with a CL CM. I was not given any CL paperwork or anything like that. There's a poster there now who I think said they were greeted out front, not sure where they checked in. So your mileage may vary!

Luggage - yes, you can leave your bags with WL bell services while you wait for your room to be ready. Just drive up and they will help you unload / put on one of their carts. You can then go park yourself or they will valet (for a pretty hefty price, like $20+ a day, but don't quote me on that number).

I have read on here that they do have fridges if any of your food turns out to be perishable - have not done this myself but I've read that frequently. You can leave anything with them, they have a big storage area and people do this all the time. Tipping is usually appreciated, if you are so inclined. When you get your room, just call the bell services button on the phone and they will bring your luggage/stuff up to your room.

I wouldn't think the rental car return process should take an hour, but no personal experience there. WL and the car center are close (the way the crow flies), although a bit convoluted roadways to actually get to/from there. But baring big delays waiting for a shuttle or something, you should be able to do this in 30 mins or less I would think. You could always get an uber from the car center back to WL if you don't want to mess with the shuttle.

Hope you enjoy WL CL. We really liked the new lounge back in November and thought the food was very, very good.

Thanks for the info. Was it the eyes glazing over part that had you laughing? Thank goodness my sister shares my planning enjoyment. My DD is only 6 but in training.
I did do online check in and we arrived via our personal vehicle. However, our room was not ready when we arrived and bell services held our luggage until it was. We had some dry goods and water and it wasn't an issue at all.

Thanks for the info

And the cheese board! This was me at AKL: :cloud9: There was one with dried cranberries in it one night and I've been kicking myself ever since for not taking a picture of the name!

Not sure where you live but I purchased a similar sounding cheese at our local Wegmans at Christmas.

Hello, does anyone know for the sure which floors the yacht club turret suites are located on? (Not sure how many there are). I've tried to research it but the answers vary from the first floor to the fourth! Thanks

Alrighty guys, I'm home and think I have this photo thing figured out.

I realized I only took photos of the food offerings and not the lounge itself! I think I was too busy trying to keep my 18 month old from dumping the crayons all over the floor. I think there are photos of the lounge somewhere else in this thread though.

I did take a photo looking down at the lobby from the lounge.

Here are some breakfast photos.

Oatmeal and toppings, cinnamon rolls

Assorted breads, salami, boiled eggs. They usually had ham and cheese out as well, but not on this particular day for some reason.

They also had bran muffins, chocolate chip muffins (very good!!), and assorted cereals out each day.

Drinks

Don't be mad - I forgot to get pics of the alcohol!! I can't believe my oversight. But they had about 4 different kinds of beer in the fridge, along with 2 on draft (and chilled glasses too!).

Coffee

Tea (available all day)

Assorted beverages

Wider view of coffee and different assorted beverages

Refrigerated beverages

I'll come back later with some additional thoughts. And I'm happy to answer any questions! We stayed 5 nights. We ate breakfast and evening apps 4 times each, had afternoon snack once, and I hit the desserts every night. :)

Looks like a great time and lounge! I was a little disappointed in the poly lounge last yr. I did drink the alcohol but I thought the afternoon snacks and evening apps weren't that great. Hope BC lounge is better this summer
