Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

We have stayed CL at HRH.
We've done all the US CL's. We were at HRH last month. Of all the US CL's, we feel HRH has the least exciting food, and the least substantial offerings. Sorry to say. US tends a bit to European standards of a CL, as many Europeans come to see HP.

I should add my priorities are: coffee, produce, yogurt, eggs, bottled water, and healthier appetizers.

1.Disney's offerings keep fluctuating. All 3 US hotels have hard boiled eggs. Porto/RPac and GF also have cold cuts, but not HRH or other WDW. All CL's have yogurt, but sometimes WDW's is better quality.

2. All Disney CL's and HRH have cheap fruits- melons, grapes, but rarely berries. Porto/RPac have berries. All CL's offer (low grade) whole fruits: apples, oranges, bananas; but HRH's selection was the worst. Apples were bitter and nearly inedible. GF has pears, but they are VERY under ripe.

Mid-day offerings at Disney tend to be better (house made chips, cookies), but less portable. US hotels mostly offer prepackaged chip-type snacks. Porto/RPac add granola bars, but not HRH.

Evening offerings are where the US hotels are often better- IMO - than most WDW. GF is best of all. On our most recent stay, BC was much improved and on par with the US hotels, maybe better.

HRH h as the least to offer. On wing night - greasy wings and little else: cheese and three bean salad, but that was about it. Royal Pacific is my favorite, followed by WL: they both offer exciting produce. Think Napa cabbage/mandarin orange salad with Japanese ginger dressing! Other than HRH, US offerings are more light meal; WDW offerings are greasy/fried/bread, and VERY tiny portions. One odd thing about Portofino- they offer great food, but TINY plates - too small to hold the (uncut) salad greens! (I'm bringing paper plates next time!)

Beverages: WDW has lattes, US doesn't, but the regular US coffee is better, plus all day milk!

Water: US CL's all offer (unlimited) bottled water! HRH is BEST- super HRH themed bottles! WDW hotels DO NOT have bottled water. All CL's have juice/lemonade/cans Oh, WDW only has milk in the AM.

Desserts: most CL's are comparable, except HRH. HRH had cookies and odd hard pastries. Most others have an assortment of delicious mini-desserts. CR, GF, and Porto are among the best.

Food Allergies: WDW's CL's responses vary from awesome to a bit indifferent. Porto and RPacific are awesome, HRH was minimal.

The other thing to know about HRH- is true theming. Mostly, the music is fun, but it is sometimes a bit too much. First thing in the morning, I prefer quiet. I'm not into being bombarded with bad music videos from the 1980's, or the offensive depiction of Native Americans (repeated every morning) from ancient Disney shorts. A weather report is nice.

I have 3 upcoming CL stays (August, Sept, Oct) and have not heard a thing from DSS until today. I got a letter on very nice stationary. It had very little info and didn't even have the dates of my stay so I don't know if it's meant for all 3? It basically said they can help us with our upcoming stay with anything we need and had their number. Has anyone else received one of these? Just curious.

So here is my brief review of our first CL stay at BC, 5/6/17-5/14/17. Unfortunately no pictures...I totally meant to take some, but just couldn't get my act together, so sorry about that.

We did online check in where I stated room preferences, as well as told DSS over the phone (asked for close to the lounge and full balcony), and we did get both fulfilled. We checked in with a lobby CM and our room was ready upon arrival (5:30). He gave us our info and then got another CM to take us up to our room. When we got there, the CL desk CM oriented us to the lounge, club level in general, etc. We were just in time for apps, which we ended up eating for our dinner at that point.

I found the CL CMs to be very accommodating, with a few being outgoing and chatting people up, while most were more reserved. Tables in the lounge were cleared quickly, I never saw dirty dishes in the hall (ours were always picked up quickly), and food was replenished routinely. DS 7 thoroughly enjoyed the small tables and chairs in front of the TV, which was always tuned to Disney Jr., so he rarely actually ate with us, lol. DD 10 was thoroughly enamored with the plentiful amount of pastries each morning and doesn't understand why life isn't like that every day, LOL.

Morning offerings included: assorted bagels, white and multigrain bread, croissants, hot oatmeal with fixings, hot grits, bowls of cantaloupe/berries/watermelon, hardboiled eggs, meat/cheese platters (salami, ham, american, monterey jack, etc.), lox, yogurt with fixings, cereal (raisin bran, fruit loops, rice krispies daily), OJ, skim milk, 2% milk, chocolate milk, Storm along bay breeze, apple juice, OJ, assorted muffins (rotated daily--white chocolate, chocolate chip, blueberry, apple), assorted danish (rotated daily--cherry, cheese, chocolate, raspberry), coffee, tea, whole fresh fruit.

Afternoon snacks included: gummy bears, homemade potato chips (with old bay and without), veggies and dip, whole fresh fruit, assorted crackers and hummus, chocolate covered craisins, cheddar whales, trail mix.

Evening apps included (mains varied day to day): assorted cheeses (cheddar, gruyere, tillamook, St. Andrews, etc.), assorted crackers and hummus, veggies and dip, PBJ shooters and rolls, apples and caramel, breadsticks, marinated olives, 2 cold salads (greek, stone wheat, chick pea, loaded potato, caprese, etc), 2 hot offerings (chicken nuggets, pigs in a blanket, salmon, pulled pork with polenta, mac and cheese bites, etc), cold plated dish (seared tuna, tenderloin on toast, shrimp, ceviche, etc).

Beers available: bud light, longboard lager, yuengling lager, heineken, stella artois. These were opened and served to you, allowing 2 per person at a time. Wine available: reisling, chardonnay, merlot, another red I don't remember, which was also poured and served to you.

Desserts: these were the same every day. Mini lemon, raspberry, and vanilla cupcakes, mini smores tart, mini panna cotta, mini brownies, mini rice krispy treats, mini oreo mousse bars, chocolate chip/oatmeal raisin/sugar cookies. Cordials and Moscato (self serve) available.

Beverages available all day: coke, diet coke, sprite, gingerale, water, sparkling water. Iced tea, lemonade--after breakfast.

CL CMs offered to fill our water bottles every morning--my husband never made it more than a few feet from our room with them before someone offered to take them from him--I'm sure a lot had to do with our proximity to the lounger area...we were 3 doors down from it, and catty corner to their prep area (which did make for a small amount of noise every day). So, I never did buy a case of water for us--we used the water bottle provided in the room when we needed to (this was replaced often, but not daily).

Mousekeeping was awesome--room was always cleaned well, fresh towels, and chocolates from the turn down service.

Kids loved the overflowing dishes of salt water taffy on the CL desks, and the flavored water by the elevators that changed daily.

BC itself was great--loved walking to EPCOT and boating to DHS, ice cream from Beaches and Cream takeout window was yummy, enjoyed exploring the boardwalk (saw a fun magic act), storm along bay was awesome (gave DH some anxiety about keeping track of the kids as it really is so big).

Overall, we absolutely loved our first CL stay and I would return to both BC and CL in a heartbeat. DH agreed that it was worth what we paid (we got 50% off the room as he is a CM).

I'd be happy to answer any questions!

Thank you, I've been looking for this exact info for months now!

NicoleLarson I did receive it but honestly we booked our July trip a month ago and I started emailing DSS before I got it. They have been fantastic for the most part and have been able to get a lot for us.

I changed to club level about 2 or 3 weeks ago. We are going 8/15, I haven't received anything. Last year I got an email several hours after booking.

Update for AKL CL:

A CM here at the lounge told me today that as of Friday, they are switching up the menus and the offerings. He said that the apps will be sent from Sanaa, Jiko, and Boma as of that day, not just Boma.

I will still be here that day, so I can update again if anyone would like me to :).
Please update thanks.

We will have 3 rooms YC CL April 28-May 2, 2018

Hope you have a great trip :goodvibes.

I have 3 upcoming CL stays (August, Sept, Oct)

How fun to have so many trips so close together! Hope all 3 trips are magical :wizard:.

Glad DSS has been helpful :).

Hi all! We will be staying WL Club Level from 10/16-10/22. Our kiddos will be 6 & 7 at that time (oldest dd will be heading home with the grandparents after spending a few days at SeaWorld with us...darn school is getting too tough to take off a whole week :scared:), so it'll just be the 4 of us. We'll also be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary on 10/18, so it'll be our first trip where I don't have to answer "nope!" when CMs ask if we are celebrating anything special, lol. I'm sure this is somewhere buried in this big ole thread, but does anyone want to take pity on a stressed out mama and give me the cliff notes of what room/room requests I want to ask for? I would appreciate it. :hippie:

What room category do you have booked? WL CL is pretty small. If you have a standard room booked, ask for a view of the Castle (the standard rooms might all have a view of the castle anyway). I was just there last week and put some pics of my room view over on the WL thread if you want to hop over there and see (page 321 of that thread). Also, see page 481 of this thread for my photos of the food offerings in the lounge. Please feel free to PM me with any questions!

With apologies for being :offtopic:..... I travel 2,000 miles across the country for work and I pass this on my ride to the hotel....

And have a sink in my room that rivals CR for the worst sink design ever contemplated! I can't shake Disney no matter where I go! :goodvibes

I recognize that sink...were you in a Hyatt? We had that sink at the Hyatt Grand Cypress recently and it was horrible. The first thing I thought of was the CR and all the complaints about the sinks. :rotfl2:

We stayed CL at Hyatt and it was nice...lots of food in the lounge, but beer and wine were only available during evening appetizers. We did a three resort split stay...DH didn't like moving twice...probably will only do two next time. I only did it because I added two days at the beginning of our trip. Got better air going earlier... blame it on Disney math. :rotfl2:

We loved the new YC rooms. Didn't love the floor but didn't hate it either. I would like it better if it was a laminate floor like they have at the GF in the entry hall and sink area. They very much kept to the theme, it looks like a real world YC. The only real negative I had with the YC was the refrigerator...it was very small.

We are in a standard room (it was all that was left). Is there an option in that category to request bunk beds, or is that a different category. Thanks so much for the info...heading off to look at your pics now! :)

I think you can request bunk beds, but I'm not 100% sure as this wasn't something we wanted/needed. Hopefully there will be someone else who can help.

Also, FYI, I made my request through DSS.

I emailed dss last week about securing dh a tee time. They responded to cal them to leave a credit card on file and they would be happy to. I called that day and left it. It was too early to book so they said they would put it on the calendar and book when released. I asked for am email letting me know it was booked. Tee times opened up today. I haven't heard from them and the times he wanted isn't showing available anymore. Would I be too annoying to of me if I email them again asking if they were able to book it?

Not from my perspective. Call/e-mail away! :-)

I agree. I would have emailed them first thing as a follow up to the previous conversation. Good luck!

That's a lot to carry around!! I think they can carry a photocopy of their passport and their actual driver's license. Neither is acceptable on its own, but it looks like they work together. Less worry about carrying the actual passport.

My TA stated that Canadian military ID/ or Drivers license are not acceptable forms of ID, so looks like my boys are stuck carrying passports if they wish to drink in the US - such a hassle!
