2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

how many days are most of you spending at food and wine if you don't mind me asking. I'm going for 9 days and plan on spending at least 4 days there.

As of this morning, still no detailed information on the culinary demos or beverage seminars on the WDW website. Certainly this information is coming out today given that bookings begin Tuesday. Come on Disney!

What?? Don't you understand that you are just suppose to book a non-refundable seminar and "trust" Disney (LOL! It works they will announce "package x" and hundreds of people will race off to throw cash at Disney without a clue what "package x" really offers!)

We are spending five days In Oct and each day will go to wine and food. Generally we do another park in the morning and then head over to wine and food early afternoon to graze the selections which lets us try new items everyday!

Does any think there is any chance of the Premium Package coming back??

No. I have a friend who worked in Epcot management on the festival for a couple of years when the Premium Package was in place. According to her it was a huge money loser for Disney so the only way it would come back would be with either a significant price increase (think at least double the cost) and/or a significant reduction in service.

ROFL- totally didn't see this comment!

We'll be at Disney for 8 days, and the original plan was to visit F&W twice or maybe three times in our travels and try a few of the offerings. Now that the menus are avialable, however, we may need to make lunch and dinner stops at EPCOT daily to try everything on the must-try list!

My parents were in shock looking over those menus for the first time! My Mom turned to me and said "I'm gonna gain 50 pounds on this trip!" To which I responded "But you'll walk it all off so it's perfect!"

Also I decided I wanted to do PFTS and I got a chance to talk with my fam about Party for the Senses last night and my parents were like "why go for the $179 seating when the $199 clear view is only $20 more? Let's do this!" The photos of the dishes on last year's thread are what sold all of us on doing this Party, so thank you for linking last year's thread on Page 1 or I never would have thought of looking there for reviews! (I thought they'd be too overwhelmed by the $400 price tag when tax was included for the 2 of them, I was surprised!)

Last year we spent two days there (including an EttB package at La Hacienda and Illuminations Dessert Party...on the same night) and I gained 8 pounds. But I was under my budget of 10!!

Going for 3 this year! :)

We usually go specifically for F & W and stay for 2 weeks. We go at the end of the Festival so are usually there for 1 or 2 days after the festival ends. We book at least 4 of the special dining events so that takes up several hours on some of the days and we are usually pretty full from the food we are served at those events. The ones that are on Saturdays we usually end up leaving EPCOT & going elsewhere. Part of most days is spent at EPCOT either around lunch or dinner visiting the booths and we will hop to or from another park for the rest of the time on those days. We may book 2 or 3 of the seminars if there are any that interest us while we are there. So out of the 2 weeks we probably spend at least part if not most of 10 days in EPCOT for the Festival.

Did anyone else notice that the Disney Food Blog is reporting that the early booking on Tuesday starts at 9:00? I thought it was just referring to DVC, which makes sense for calling member services, but they specifically mention all of the affiliated groups and say they can book at 9. I don't think I trust that and that I should call at 7. What do y'all think?

Also, just noticed that on the DFB it states that Chase is NOT a sponsor this year, so no early booking access:

How to Book Epcot Food & Wine Festival Events
To book all special events and demonstrations, call 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378) starting July 20 at 7:00AM ET. Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars and general admission for some special events may be bookable online at www.epcotfoodfestival.com as well as by phone.

Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Golden Oak Residents are eligible for a $2 discount (per person, per event) for beverage and seminars and culinary demos taking place Mon-Thurs during the festival. Members of these groups can also book all special events early on July 18th beginning at 9:00AM ET. Discounts are by phone only at 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378). Stay tuned to DisneyFoodBlog.com and the Disney Food Blog Newsletter for details.

Because Chase is no longer a Festival Sponsor, Chase Disney Visa Cardholders have no access to early booking this year.
