Buzz Lightyear Star Command - This Attraction Needs To Go

Our family enjoys Buzz Light too. Sure it’s not high tech, but we have so much fun. We compete for the highest score, laugh when we spin around and see each other. It’s one of our must dos.

Agree that Tomorrowland Speedway could go. There’s just nothing speedy about it. Slow drivers drive me batty in general.

I'd be okay if it stays (I know many non-drivers like it) IF they converted it to solar or electric powers (no more toxic smells) and they changed the cars to look more futuristic AND they made the Jetson car sounds!

My DH can't leave MK without riding Buzz at least once - and we go frequently (semi-local AP's). It never gets old for us. We usually skip TSMM.

I will agree that the guns on the DL version are better.

We love how corny carousel of progress is! I think they could maybe update the last scene since it looks like it should be the future. Neither dh nor I like buzz and we would much rather do carousel of progress.

Go trapped on that ride for 45 mins. It was hilarious how people were reciting the lines and signing. We got stuck in the same time period. They finally turned the sound down really low and people still did it. It was a riot!

Its a fun ride, but it needs a tech upgrade. The same can be said for the final scene of the Carousel of Progress.

I wish Disney would be more aggressive upgrading its attractions. Its a theme park, not a museum.

Yeah we aren’t fans of buzz. I’m too competitive for a game that is so unpredictable lol. I feel like I never know where my laser is at.

I find it helps if, at the beginning of the ride, you practice aiming and firing your laser with one of your palms in front of it. Then you can see if the red dot is aiming higher, lower or more to the left or right than what you might expect.

I’m too competitive for a game that is so unpredictable lol.

I agree. I like this ride, but less when my older brother is on it with me, and more when I am competing against DW.

I also think it helps significantly if you are the one controlling the spinning of the vehicle.

That said ALL of Tomorrowland needs a refurb
but it needs to begin with the Alien Encounter, Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Speedway .....

Unfortunately TRON has probably guaranteed all we get is some more paint colors.

That’s a good idea I’ll have to remember that. Honestly the only reason I get so competitive is because I ride with dh.

I controlled the spinning last time and I was losing so I spun it so only I could get targets lol. I still lost.

Okay .....

It takes hitting multiple targets, multiple times in multiple rooms - at least for me - to capture some high scores. And therein lies the challenge, timing it correctly and getting your car in the right position to get those targets, plus supplementing with many lower score targets to max out.

Point was not to brag, but respond to OP who had issue with guns working (this score was from 3 weeks ago). Apologize my post offended you.
